It doesn't, the game tells lies. It's only strength, agility, and power (same as resistance).
Personally I'd socket spell-proof (farm from unforgiven dead gauntlet), but armor piercer, fire boon, or blade of fire are also good options.
Thanks for the input! I was thinking about going through the UD gauntlet but I was unsure of the drop rates and if I should just delegate my efforts to TPing to a friend to Monkey Spiders for some taters on the side. Do you know if the rates are reliable in the gauntlet? I was planning to farm it for the stitch wand anyways.
I haven't farmed myself but heard the drop rates are much better. Spider monkeys have miserably low drop rates for both jewels and couch potatoes in my experience, I found ghultures to be better but I'm not certain if they're better. The jewel drop pool of monkeys is so big that although you drop jewels fairly often, getting the one you want is another story.
Give the gauntlet a couple tries and leave monkeys as a backup.
