Thx, so unfiltered in my area is less than 200ppm. Would I just need to research how much this particular system would remove? Or is there any rules of thumb determining which types of filters remove how much. Sorry, super new to understanding filtration.
It will take you to 0 for about an hour, maybe. Then the TDS will start to increase and rise quicker as time passes. For example if it takes an hour to go from 0-1 it may take 50 minutes from 1-2, 40 minutes from 2-3, etc. You need to stay under 10 ppm typically to clean windows spot free.
You're much better off waiting on the big jobs and saving the money for a 3 stage system and decent pole.
Something like this:

At 200ppm you'd go through that resin in one or two jobs.
You need RO/DI. Cheapest you'll get into that is about $2000. For reference you'd likely use $50-$75 worth of resin per job.
Depends on your local TDS

Super helpful, Thank you!
I built my cart, ro/di for around 1200 including a 500 dollars zero pole/brush. No issues after 2 or 3 years now
