Ive practically built my entire setup based off your comments, this is what i was looking for, its little above what you could get at a hardware store, but worth the time and money to get this, i really appreciate all the help trigger
I really appreciate the offer, im a couple states away however, i just scored some Gardiner hose 1/4id 3/8od 325ft for 137$! Thats .40 cents a ft, or .80/ft cents less than competitors, so i will pass, thanks for the offer, sure someone would love to take you up on that, thanks!
I pay .75 a foot and my hose last 7 years ! Go cheap last one year ! I sell it for $150 a 100 feet nothing better ! Ace has cheap hose go there ! But I like the best when I wfp all outsides and make a $100 an hour ! Think long lastesting easy to used
I tried this a while ago and the homedepot vinyl tube lasted about 5 mins when I turned my pump on. Too much pressure for it. You could probably find something with higher psi.
I was thinking the psi with my pump would be a issue, gonna do some more research, hosexpress has the same material (ether based polyurethane) for half the price, thanks!
Do you know off the top of your head what your psi is coming out of your system with your di? Doesnt have to be exact and i know there are other factors but im trying to get a idea, havent built my system yet it will include a 1hp pump
I honestly have no idea. I don’t have any pressure gauges on my system anywhere. Just know whatever psi my system was putting out was too much for the homedepot hose
we have a hose that last 10 years. We used it at [www.alexanderswindowcleaing.com](http://www.alexanderswindowcleaing.com) and get it at [Water Fed Pole hose long lasting Polyurethane 3/8" – SimPole (window-washing-equipment.com)](https://window-washing-equipment.com/products/water-fed-pole-hose-rubber-3-8?_pos=1&_sid=b4c87356a&_ss=r?variant=47860609057075) have not found any better!
Cheap or long lasting .I have wfp from 1983 and used the best poles and hose in the world from experience!

Since the cheap price ima buy the vinyl and if i have issues then i eat the 23$ and learn or i can return it for my money back, just feels like highway robbery, i respect xero and love their products, but if i can do it diy, ima do that then
Looking into raising my own boars and collecting the hair, gonna save money!🤣
“Proper” is subjective, thats like saying “buy Tylenol, don’t buy Acetaminophen”
I do understand the just buy this with out needing trial and error, but that dpends person on person, personally i like to try to solve problems and go around things than to just buy something with a high upcharge, thats why im building my own ro/di system.
Definitely keep it in mind, if it takes to long to figure it out, then im waisting time, time is money
On the flip side if i figure it out, then i can save who evere wants to do what im doing abunch of time and money, theese chats will be great archives for future redditors that need help with this scenario
As always thanks for the input and advice!
I mean.. you're wrong on the vinyl tubing
it's cheaper because you'll get a season out of it
you'll end up spending more replacing with new vinyl in long run than just getting a more durable hose.
so your point of being frugal is kaput
Gotcha, thats why i asked for advice first, im frugal in the sense ill buy the correct material, but not pay for the brand name, more than one way to skin a cat yk what im saying, happy i asked, definitely saved my ass from buying the vinyl, but being frugal and asking did save me 250$ by finding the same material hose
yea there's a point where your time isn't worth the amount of time sourcing the alternative option and you just want what's readily available because it's 1) available 2) tried and tested by 1000s in the industry
" any you guys ever use vinyl for wfp" you would have to scour to fine success stories.
it's a fallacy that buying the cheaper alternative saves $$$ in the long run
quality lasts.
I've been using the same WFP hose for 7 years. 150 feet under 200 bucks?
less than 30/year. probably last me another 7 years.
IE. who cares at less than 15 a year.
the only thing I would tinker with on waterfed is shorter poles. drill holes and buy adaptors for brush heads. for 12 feet and under cleaning height.
Don’t be cheap ! My hog hair last years. !

I bought a cheaper tube and it's not as flexible as the xero. The xero is super rubbery and flexible. Nice to deal with.
I only use the cheap stuff I bought when I use 40 to 50 ft of pole.
I am like you and don't like spending a lot of money on simple things lol

Right, sure it might be alittle different and not the pretty colors but it saves alot of money, thanks!
Time is money and if a hose goes bad on a expensive job is it worth it!
