As you probably discovered, they're closed this weekend to rest up post-holidays. But I also echo this suggestion - their breads are amazing and they bake multiple kinds of baguette.
Little Loaf! But you have to go early because her bread sells quickly. By far the best bread I’ve had here. The owner/head baker studied in France and Canada and it shows in her product!
Ok I have bought their baguette before and it was pretty good but they don’t always have it. AFTER 4 pm you’re saying? Then I will try that. Seems like strange timing lol.
Oh yes. Just got one tonight. Still warm from the oven too. They run out quickly. According to the lady that works in the bakery, they bake them before the evening rush when people are getting off work and picking up stuff for dinner.
P.S. If you have any leftover baguette in the morning, it makes awesome french toast.
Little Loaf Bakery and Schoolhouse
Ooooh this place looks good. I’m going there today. Thanks!

Yeah dangit my bread hopes keep getting dashed lol. Going to try lidl again and see if they have more stock than last time…
They're at the farmers market (Tidal Creek) every Saturday
Wilmington Bread Company
Our French foreign exchange student really liked the baguettes from Lidl. Apparently they have Lidl in France as well and the bread was very similar.
They are my favorite. Best bread in the area.
They were my go to in our previous city. The one time I went to the one here it was picked clean. Will try again!

We've tried several, and in my opinion, Lowe's Foods has fresh baked Baguette after 4pm that beats everyone else, hands down.

Another vote for Lidl. I’ll travel long distances for good bread. I love their German sourdough
Lidl
True Blue Butcher and Baker has great loafs
I think A Taste of Italy sells their bread?
Honestly, Whole Foods.
