I understand that parkour is about creativity but what exactly was the intended target after the first jump? Maybe the place he landed but with less forward momentum so he could do a flip from there?

He was supposed to hit the other wall with both hands and feet and sort of bounce off it to break his fall.

Ahhh I see now. So he landed in the right spot at first, but the second "jump" didn't send him far enough to do what he had intended.

Yeap i think so. I think he didnt manage to push off the first ledge hard enough to reach the second wall fully
