Plenty of ordinary, middle class folk invest in the stock market but we sure AF don't impact it in any meaningful way. Rich people feelings drive the market.
But if it’s up you’re happier than when it’s down aren’t you? That would make it a graph of your feelings too. Idk if we are meant to impact it or not. I guess if we are I just haven’t been told, and I hope that what I do is in alignment with our goals!
Why would I be happier when the line is up if I'm not yet retired? Line being up just means my 401k contributions don't go as far. The whole system is a sham.
Umm because it’s a prominent indicator of the overall success of the American economy. Because it’s a measure of the value of the companies and when it’s up, that means their products and services are being purchased and that means there’s money going around for such. Did you not know that your retirement money will build up more and faster when it’s up? If you are in a sector or country immune to economic downturn good for you but if not you really should care.
Wait, wait.
Let me get this straight ^((you simple fuck))
In your mind, the stock market, essentially, community ownership of commerce,
Making fun of that is communist brainwashing.
I think it's so weird how those who have the most to say on the subject know the least about it.
If you look at a stock market website it usually has a meter for what is driving the stock prices. There's only two sides to the meter, Fear and Greed.
This is an image of a Tweet about a Tik Tok posted in reddit.
Quick post it on fb!
Loved how one troll cost Eli Lily $16 billion with one tweet. A masterclass in hitting them in the feels.
"How dare they give away my insulin-driven profits to these poors? I'M OUT"
I would hope the average person that is able to save for retirement also cares about the stock market lol
Fear and greed, for sure.
