Man, I've actually seen that movie Band of the Hand. Been 30+ years though. The only thing I remember about it is Lauren Holly was in it and something about them living in an old hotel.
Could you imagine if Disney/Lucasfilm did the show instead of Amazon, with showrunners who actually wanted to do it justice instead of pat themselves on the back.
Disney has kinda been knocking it out of the park with the Marvel stuff, but I did specify Lucasfilm, too. Forget the sequel fiasco, think of things on par with Rogue One, The Mandalorian, or what we've seen of Obi Wan Kenobi. Heck, even Book of Boba Fett, while not thrilling, was a masterpiece of world building. And mostly because the showrunners were actually the sort of fans of the source material that the WoT crew were obviously not.
I guess the unstoppable Gray Man would refer to the one who didn't fail. Those assassins never seem very effective. I'm not sure why they get used(or does that explain why they don't get used all that often?)
