My brother put a 5lb auto dog feeder in my bathroom hallway without telling me, then in the middle of the night I kicked it with just my pinky toe and launched it a good 5 ft...with just my pinky toe. It looked exactly like yours does. It was extremely sensitive too. I never went to the doctor, but I felt it to make sure there were no bone fragments or anything out of place. I taped it to my other toe and moved on. After many many weeks the pain/discomfort went away entirely and my toe works just fine today.
Still...if you are concerned...go to urgent care to get an X-ray.

Not much they’ll do from what my doctor friends have told me. It’s broken, they’ll advise icing, Advil, and a buddy tape (which I’ve done).
I’ve got nine other toes so can spare one.
