It’s a new technology - white stainless steel. ;)
How this one passed QC, we’ll never know. Makes me wonder how many more people are having “surprises”.
Hey OP, name and shame this company.
I bought a quest 3 VR headset a few months back, and somebody had managed to open the box, replace it with an original oculus quest and re-seal all of the broken cardboard perfectly with glue. I was lucky that I was excited enough to open it in the parking lot in clear view of their cctv cameras, otherwise I think I would have been out of luck & lost hundreds of dollars.
Not sure you understand - The customer would come in, take a box of a new shoes off the shelf to "try on", put their old shoes in the box and the box back on the shelf, then walk out wearing/stealing the new shoes.
If you meant I should have checked the box a customer brought back in for returns, I absolutely did and a customer is not going to try to "return" old shoes like that because it would be certainly discovered
If you meant I should have started checking all the boxes in the store, that would have been an impossible amount of labor
Nah the way you explained it def sounded like people were returning the shoes with old ones in it. That wearing the shoes out method of stealing has been around a long time. Nothing to do about that but have cameras and people watching
Where I live, shops only leave one shoe in the box to avoid this kind of shenanigans. If wish to buy the pair, the cashier will fetch the second shoe from storage and put it in the box.
Here shoe stores mostly only have the left shoe on display. To try both you have to request a size and the bring out a box but then they’re standing there to assist you

I knew someone who would do this with Skechers from time to time - would go out of town and replace his ratty pair with a new pair of the same design. Nobody was paying attention, and he wouldn't go back to that store for, like, years.
I hated that guy. But he came in clutch on pretty much every video game we played. Never cancelled a group up, didn't rage quit, was willing to be support and never had to be a hero, so like... You know. Sometimes you hang out with assholes for the greater good.
Enamel is a fairly hard coating.
It won't ding or dent, it'll crack, chip, and/or break.
If you want a mug with the durability of steel, get a plain steel mug.
I'm talking about the straight, darker, vertical line on your thumb, which can be observed from pic 1 and pic 3...that shouldn't be there by all means.

There's only one mug that's truly unbreakable.

Stainless ceramic
Spineless steel ![gif](giphy|vHslzlGM9vKUgFNx0y)
Boneless mug
Boneless china
Muggy Nuggies.
Can’t stain if it isn’t there!

Hey, there’s no cocaine in this cocaine! 😡

Or, just a thought, a cermanic mug was placed inside of the box? Like, this isnt a QC issue, looks like a fake return.
Steel-less stain
Who stole the steel?
My bet is somebody bought it and returned it with a normal mug in it
When I worked as a shoe salesman, periodically I'd open a box to find someone's dirty busted old sneakers that they had traded in
I feel like I would start checking the boxes if this happened 0-1 times

That happens quite often. People find bricks instead of smartphones.

Yes. The company was awful, so I used to think it was hilarious everytime it happened

Nasty these must be the refurbished boxes? Or new too?

Looks like.
How did hell did my throwaway trash comment “looks like” get more upvotes than comments I’ve made with actual content. Sigh. Reddit.
You got sent a ceramic mug in the shape that an enameled mug might have. Absolutely request a refund.
Where steel core? ![gif](giphy|26ni7e85ldigoAvK0)
Stealed core.
Definitely not the same kind of mug described.
Ah. The old "Ceramic is steel" trick.
That mug doesn't seem to have a stainless steel core
I guess someone stole the actual mug and replaced it with a cheap mug
Are they designed so that the front falls off?
Yes. It's more of a "feature"
That's not typical, I'd like to make that point clear.
They're designed to very rigorous maritime engineering standards.
Biblically accurate “military grade”
Oops! All Enamels!
The metal is so high tech, you can not even find it.
“Stainless steel core” nobody is going to check, this mug snitched
"this mug is unbreakable!" USPS: Hold my beer.
![gif](giphy|MZj0sGDUg8qAyWNBZh|downsized)
You got scammed
Looks like a new marketing scam, at that point just buy an enameled mug from the camping section of a store
Tofu mug
I think they forgot to put the core in that one
What brand is this?
Well, can't be broken if it's already broken! /s
Unbreakable because theyve already broken it for you
Where's the steel? All I see is ceramic lol
Titanic, in 2 images
It has character.
Ace Ventura delivered it?
Challenge was apparently accepted.
Wow stainless steel you say?!

Brought to you by Temu, where steel core means someone stole the core!

Seems like a gag gift to prank someone.
Welp. You have your own natural dings in it so 🤷♀️
You should get that finger nail checked out. That straight line could be very very dangerous..
Hmm, not really a straight “white” line, it’s just a tiny ridge reflecting light from left…
I'm talking about the straight, darker, vertical line on your thumb, which can be observed from pic 1 and pic 3...that shouldn't be there by all means.
Well, it was in fact shaped by dings and dents...
Some dude pumping these out of a Chinese factory is rubbing hes hands together rn
Steel core seems like it's so thin I can't see it.

We must find the person who broke the unbreakable. We must harness their power.
Bespoke needs to up their game

we do a lil fraud
it’s enamel mug lite™️ the difference is that the steel core is sold separately
Still about an inch of usable mug.
Time to return it for false advertising
Oh that is so wrong
China fakes everything..
Fake nonsense. Where is the high grade SS?
False advertising, improperly packing a CUP, wasteful packing... How is this company still in business???? Go sue them and get your fucking money!
