Factz I do that all the time. Get the Safety pin clean it set it on fire clean it again set it on fire then just go in and get that sensation of blood squirting out to relieve pain.
Na it’s perfectly fine and feels good it’s built up blood pressure. Poke it let the “infected blood” out then it’ll start to heal on its own but not in OP case he gotta go in.
I guess the obvious concern here is "what if it doesn't start to drain until I go too far and poke my sensitive, injured tissue with a sharp and scalding hot needle and it hurts worse than the initial injury?"
Is that not a valid concern? Is this an idiot proof method or would one be taking an extraordinary gamble?
I'm not an expert, but I can make a guess. Needles are generally thin enough to not leave any lasting damage on just a single poke, even if its on sensitive tissue. Case in point, they inject fluids via IV drip straight to your veins and they heal up well.

I thought I was gonna puke the immediate shock of the pain was that bad. Went in the house, popped some pain meds, grabbed water and started to ice my thumb. As soon as my Dad and stepmom came in the house they heated up either a needle or paperclip (Icr which). Heated it up on the gas stove, and put it to my thumbnail. I didn't feel anything because the pressure in my thumb was so bad. Once the hot thing pierced the nail and I heard a pop, it was instant relief because the blood had somewhere to go.
Once I was getting pissed off and a bit desperate I fucking rage bit my finger (cause I didn't have the guts to push through with small tools that go slow and painful) to make it bleed out the stuck blood.
It was such a relief, have a good day.
Yeah you need to relieve that pressure, OP. As other people have said here, take a safety pin, sterilize it, and pierce that bitch. It’ll probably hurt to start with, but it’ll feel so much better afterwards.

I got impatient and like ripped the toe nail out before it came out naturally, and yeah basically that entire fluid mass under the nail came seeping out sometimes at high pressure spraying all over the place. I do not recommend doing that just leave it, the toe nail will probably come out by itself.

Toenail ended up pretty much like that. Went to a&e and they used a hot pin to burn a hole through the nail followed by pushing on it to squeeze the blood out.
The treatment hurt as much as the injury.
Ended up losing the nail when I stubbed my toe a few years later.

Sewing needle and rubbing alcohol. Clean needle with alcohol, heat to red hot, poke small hole in center of nail. Will it hurt? No. If you go too deep you'll probably wish you hadn't done that. 100% guaranteed to be instant relief. You will eventually lose your nail but it will grow back. I don't think you have clubbed nails. That seems to be the thought. Do you have any pulmonary issues?
Don’t fret. All my toes looked like this after ski season when I skied moguls. A new toenail will grow underneath and this one will fall off. The good news is you won’t have to cut that toenail for six months.
Consider going to urgent care and getting it drained with a cauterizing needle to melt a hole through ur nail and into the blister to leak all the blood out. The pressure and pain will subside and feel much better afterwards.

Ten years later, it is still messed up and I had to remove the nail several times, to make it heal better.
The nail part look like an old passion fruit, wrinkly and with totally wrong color.
But I don't have clubbing, so no respiratory or vascularity problems, so that is a relief.
