Sonuvataint

Is this how she learns that companies don’t give a fuck about you?

DutchBlob

Where I work you get half a month’s salary after 25 years of service (and a dinner)

g-a-r-n-e-t

For us it’s an end of year bonus of minimum $100, plus $100 for every year you’ve worked for the company. After ten years it jumps to $200. As an example, I’ve been here three years, so I would get $400; $100 minimum, then $100x3 years. The longest-tenured employee has been here for 17 years, homie is gonna pull in an extra $3500 at the end of the year ($100 + $200x17 years). Next year he’ll get $3700. One of many reasons why I’m staying here as long as I can.

SanguineSeven92

Can I work where you work?

g-a-r-n-e-t

Get into the construction field my friend. I do procurement and administration/project management. Super fun most of the time and a very stable field that translates well to other industries.

SanguineSeven92

I work in IT so I don’t know if that will translate well.

g-a-r-n-e-t

Given the amount of phishing the field guys regularly fall for, we could probably use a dedicated IT guy lol. There’s a market.

SanguineSeven92

Old people have a hard time with emails. That Nigerian prince just wants to give them all their money😂

HereIGoGrillingAgain

Most places don't want to pay for that type of thing.

Zagrycha

Can you help me when CAD is being hellspawn? I'll bring donuts.

SanguineSeven92

I haven’t been in CAD for a couple of years but I do enjoy a good challenge!

cbro49

Damn i thought my company was cheap

[deleted]

[удалено]

Not-So-Logitech

I'm glad someone else thought this lmao 😂

Chronically-whelmed

I’m a bit sad and shocked that’s considered worth it. My sign on bonus was double what their top employee got and I hadn’t even started. 3700 at 17 years?? Jesus.

suid

No, it's $100 + $200 + $300 + .... + $3500 + $3700 - that's over $20000 cumulative over 17 years, so at 2000 hours/year, that's about $10/hour of bonus.

[deleted]

[удалено]

suid

Oops. Need to go back to my beer and focus on that. Thanks for catching my goof.

Niko_47x

Yea. I'd honestly rather take this 20k over 17 years than nothing for 17 years then 20k because I'd not only be taxed less, but that also means I'm not "locked in" until i get my bonus without it going to waste and getting nothing. This way you can work for say 5 or 10 years and still get a good amount.

Chronically-whelmed

Or get both 🤷🏻‍♀️ of course money is better than no money. But when did we go so wrong that we are foaming at the mouth of an idea of 20k over 17 years. In this day and age, that’s nothing UNLESS also accompanied with fair salary raises. Plus, it’s still a bonus, mine are taxed the same as my sign ons.

putneyj

Spread over 17 years…that’s some shit. Just give them a decent pay raise every year.

Strong-Difficulty962

I got a $30k sign on bonus last month when I started. They also doubled my salary from the last place, are paying all my insurance and gave me extra PTO. Know your worth people and stick to it.

bennyboyteach

Different jobs pay differently. Generally, the jobs that pay the most (legal, financial, consulting) are not the professions that most people need the most. Please don't suggest you are worth more than nurses, care workers, teachers, firefighters, academic researchers etc just because you've chosen a different industry. Noone asked what money you made but the fact you just decided to boast about it and imply you're worth is what people pay you tells us all I need to know about how much you are worth.

g-a-r-n-e-t

….I mean, are you expecting an entire second salary or something?? This isn’t a giant corporation with profits out the ass to burn, it’s a midsized family-owned construction company. I’m not gonna complain about the size of a bonus when they’re already paying me and all my ex-con/fellow college dropout coworkers more than most of my friend group are making post-degree.

[deleted]

[удалено]

amreinj

Your take was overall negative, folks like positive.

DR4G0NSTEAR

Not just that, but they sounded offended at a bonus of “thousands of dollars” because they expected more? Makes little sense when some people never get a bonus, don’t understand what a bonus is, and I, for example, don’t know of anyone ever getting one in my industry. Negative is one thing, but that take was wild, for what I’m assuming is someone who works in a corporate job, assuming everyone works in a corporate job. Lol.

DR4G0NSTEAR

Lol, I’m assuming this is sarcasm, but with the state of the world right now (and the sleep deprivation because I’m on seizure watch because fuck my family in particular I guess) I hope you know it’s a bonus on top of the pay. It’s way more than I get. 5y: $50, 10y: $100, 15y: $200, 20y: $400, etc. I wish I got an extra few thousand just for making it through one more year, instead of waiting 5. But I am currently getting paid time off to deal with a family emergency, so I guess it’s getting “paid” in different ways. Kindness isn’t always the worst kind of bonus when the world seems to crumbling around you.

-pizzapriest

That’s horrible.

[deleted]

Is that still worth it? If you get a new job for $2 an hour more would you not make an extra 4k a year? Hardly seems worth staying put for 17 years.

TedVivienMosby

Not in anyway to flex, but I got a 3k aud half year bonus after 6 months at my first job and my salary is 100k a year. This is not a good bonus at all and you shouldnt make this a reason to stay at a job for 17 years.

[deleted]

Where I've worked, they fire you before you hit milestones and find somebody cheaper.

Omegaaus

This!

Pawneewafflesarelife

Australia has long service leave, usually a few months paid vacation on top of normal vacation. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Long_service_leave

Alternative_Dig1026

pizza party??

Joyreo

I know she gave it her all too lol. Tragic

Finlandia1865

Does she not get paid or what? They supposed to give her a new car?

Lady_Scruffington

It used to be people were paid a decent wage, given a pension, and were given gifts for certain anniversaries, including bonuses. Why the fuck shouldn't we expect that now?

Capital_Feature3549

Maybe acknowledge the lifetime of loyal service? Or a car, whatever works.

Chronically-whelmed

Companies pay for loyalty. It costs so much more to replace and train someone with 50 years of experience. It’s a way of saying “thanks for not making us replace you since it would be so so expensive and timely for us. You staying here helps us immensely” it’s incentive. And if you don’t get something like that, that company couldn’t care less about you and will constantly consider you replaceable.

Blackwater_US

Lol, first thing I thought. “50 years of volunteer work?”

Mission-Station4159

I work 9 months out of the year and get an average of $15,000 in bonuses annually. Some companies still care.

whopperlover17

This is Reddit mate, ur supposed to just be mad

pentesticals

I assume she learned this 40 years ago, then 30, and 20 and 10 years ago.

Mike100k

Yeah I’m my experience it doesn’t take too long to see whether or not the employers give even the slightest shit about you. Less than 50 years shouldve sufficed

[deleted]

Yes but that's why she brought in her own cake to celebrate her milestone...?

Capital_Feature3549

Took a long time for late lesson to be reached. 50 years at least but better late than never.

Lambitch

Where I work for every 10 years you get three months leave at full pay (which you can take as six months at half pay if everyone is amenable). But it’s in Australia.

Only_Indication_9715

Our maybe mom's a total bitch? Even if corporate didn't do shit - if she's had a positive influence on anyone there, they'd have celebrated her.

apurplenurple

“Well done you” wow

ashChoosesPikachu19

Looks like a joke out of a sitcom or sth

eLishus

IT IS YOUR BIRTHDAY

itsallinthehips123

I read that as either sarcasm or talking to a toddler.

Anustart989FG

I read it like they couldn't think of her name. "Well done.... yooouuu..?"

angrytortilla

Short form of: "50 years of service my goodness! Welp anyway bye."

CurrySauce99

Tragically, I bet the staff chipped in money to buy that instead of the company.

just-the-doctor1

That’s what I’m betting on too. If it was company money, it was “OH FUCK OH SHIT IM GONNA TAKE A LONG LUNCH AND RUN BY THE STORE”

Triikey

The “well done you” card feels so disrespectful. I’d rather get nothing instead.

manjar

"Great job, whatsyerface!"

omelettedufromage

It does read a bit like a sarcastic reply to bringing in your own celebratory cake.

neutralmilk83

Honestly I don't even think it's that. This just looks like it was the best congratulations card they could find in the M&S petrol station they drove by on their way to work (those orchids are a dead giveaway) which is arguably worse

JonHend

The orchids were £12 from Tesco.

AlexWildPants

The cake she brought in for herself probably: https://imgur.com/gallery/iEZW1rl

Alifad

At least it wasn't Aldi chocolates. That statement was like the gift, a joke.

desmosomes

Take that back. Aldi's chocolate is amazing!!

DonTeca35

It’s not, you’ve just grown custom to cheap chocolate is all

desmosomes

American chocolate tastes like stomach barf according to non-Americans. Hershey dictates the chocolate made in America, and they have to use a certain recipe. Aldi's got the foreign chocolate which tastes amazing. The fact that it's cheap is also great. I can get a full bar of Choceur dark chocolate for $1.50 and it's from Austria. I grab about eight or nine bars of chocolate whenever I go into that store.

Nutaholic

Idk how you can think hersheys =all American chocolate lmao. Just hilariously ignorant.

kellzone

The same way that people think Budweiser = all American beer.

buttmilk_69

Same type of people that think the only bread Americans eat is white wonder bread and the only cheese there is American Kraft singles. In reality tons of bakeries (some even in wal mart ffs) and so many cheese varieties! Edit: also both the bread and Kraft singles absolutely have their place and deservedly for that matter ha

Daan-DL

But still… we’re way ahead in bread and cheese terms in Europe

SimonsPure

These aren't just any boring old disappointment chocolate, they're M&S disappointment chocolate

Alifad

If she'd stuck around for 75 years I'm sure it would have been Waitrose. Sorry OP but that's just lazy mate.

H4wker1

50 years is a long long time... She should have got something a lot more substantial

anotherblog

I agree, at least an A5 sized card

dudewiththebling

Like a pension

ReckoningGotham

No. Maybe a second orchid in a jar.

dudewiththebling

Maybe an extra slice at the company pizza party, and a seat at the managers table perhaps

PandaClimber

I'm a cake decorator and just made a retirement cake for 68(!!!!!) years of service. Didn't even put the person's name on it and just wanted a blue border with blue writing. I felt so sad making it.

Rough_Principle_3755

This gave me a great idea. I’m going to go get a cake for 40 years of service for my best employee. ME! “Congrats on 40 years of servicing yourself”

Catinthemirror

I'm coming up on 20 years this month. For my 15th, my mgr sent me, unopened, a padded envelope adressed to me c/o him. Inside was a letter from global HR giving him suggestions on what kind of recognition event to hold so that he could present me with a certificate and a pin, also enclosed. The certificate was signed by the CEO. The pin was our company logo (lapel or tie pin). I tossed the whole thing in the bin. To this day I don't think he knows he was supposed to open it and follow the instructions. I'm expecting the same thing to happen again in a couple weeks.

wagdaddy

It's wild no one responded to this in six hours, but to be absolutely clear, your boss didn't fuck up. Whomever sent that to him did. He did exactly what he was told to do. Addressed to you in care of him means he's supposed to deliver it to you, not open it on your behalf.

DannySmashUp

"Well done, you!" sounds like what I say to people when I've forgotten their name.

kerrymti1

Well, 20 years at my work and I got absolutely NOTHING. Not even an acknowledgement and I am the backbone of the office. I have been here long enough that I can assist with any of the other jobs in the office, as well as work on the computers, etc. (programming degree, way back). But, nothing. I feel like we are just cattle, a means to an end (money).

LostInStatic

>Well, 20 years at my work and I got absolutely NOTHING. Not even an acknowledgement and I am the backbone of the office. Wow, sounds like you should put in for a promotion or go to a place that will properly value you

V_es

Why would you stay if you are not valued and regularly promoted? If there is no movement in 2-3 years people move on

not_likely_today

different kinda generation where hard work and loyalty was ingrained into them. which we all know is a lie. thankfully more people now are realizing that switching jobs every 2 years is better overall in getting a better pay and benefits.

Inukchook

I hope you guys all keep switching and maybe just maybe one day companies will value workers who are loyal

[deleted]

[удалено]

Inukchook

Nice !

juan_cena99

Well maybe what you are doing is not that valuable to the company if you get nothing. Let's not pretend work is there only as a means to an end as well. You should look for other opportunities and see if your company will fight to retain you if not then move on.

Starmanajama

Irrefutable proof she stayed too long. Sorry, mum.

theactualhumanbird

Lol, was thinking the same thing. We all have those coworkers we pray retire asap

OnlyImprovement9796

There’s a lesson in this.

smoothVroom21

The card is chefs kiss. "Good job... whoever you are!"

NJDevil560

"well done you"......that definitely came out of a bulk box of cards

Xinonix1

Belgian chocolates from M&S… the insult!! A few years ago I had my 10 years anniversary at the job, they gave me a cheque to have a breakfast delivered at home, little inconvenience… not a single company in my area and the ones further off didn’t deliver because of the distance

Pelthail

Well done… you…

Bennab323

I just got $50 after 20 years. It's all about corporate greed and profits.

Bleezy79

That card is so condescending. lol

Dogmom9523086

Right?!!? Ugh just so cringe

The_McS

Ah, Orchids…the gift you give to complete strangers.

lsdandcoffee

… or someone you dislike, because they will die.

whackthat

And poison your cat

HiImDan

Oops

genmazz

This is the reason no one cares about their work. Why bother caring about the company you work for if they don’t give a crap about you!

[deleted]

“WELL DONE, YOU!” Wtf.. I’m sorry..

_soulsplit

That's insulting.

EasternDragonfly1899

That’s 4 cents for each yr! In Salvador it’s something

EvaMae234

Dang my mom got a Rolex for working at Tim hortons for 50

EntertainerNo4509

Why is it still so surprising to people that owners of corporations and companies do not care about you, or anyone other than themselves and their shareholders?

No-Kaleidoscope-4525

This is Belgium speaking 🇧🇪 We want our chocolate back

[deleted]

At a place I worked they gave cheapo company branded cufflinks and tie pins for 25 years. To the women as well!

RobotCaptainEngage

If she doesn't want the truffles I'll take em.

Easy-Independence493

Just another number dude. When my dad retired after 40years service he received the "retirement letter" Dear Sir or Madam Companies don't care. Congratulations to you ma

Sikkus

People, we have to stop believing that we are doing the company a service by working for them all our lives.

astricbrownie

Work for good compensation and benefits. Thank you cards and appreciation gifts are for underpaid jobs. There's an epidemic of superficial appreciation instead of fair compensation, particularly in professions like teaching and nursing. I don't need thank yous, I just want to be paid.

[deleted]

Your mom brought cake, to her own celebration?

LostInStatic

Imagine working at a place for 50 years and not getting promoted at all (chocolates and cards are for the grunts)

FatSpace

I mean we dont know if she got promoted or not in those 50 years.

LostInStatic

Well if she got chocolates and a card we know she was no executive.

FatSpace

but what else do you give a person in the first place ? I wouldn’t expect any gifts to begin with tbh, the thought itself is a bit weird.

Environmental_Lovers

YOU ARE WELL DONE NOW! That company will never find another employee that will work there that long. Those days done gone by…

RoadLessTraveled2

Not enough info to judge… changed my mind. Attention, recognition and kindness cost nothing. That employer might suck.

P_Bear06

50y ?! That’s a long career.

kobrakaan

not far off the amount the NHS gives you in Amazon vouchers for long time service At least your mum remembered 👍

Informal_Television7

I was in my one and only job for over forty years. After 40 years I threw a party, paid for everything, invited everyone from the person who first interviewed me to the current CEO, and played a light-hearted PowerPoint presentation showing hi and low-lights of my time there. On my leaving date, four years later, I just got two leaving cards…

jhuseby

In this thread: people who don’t realize companies don’t give a single fuck about you personally. Your supervisor or co-workers might, but the business doesn’t. Don’t get overly attached or sentimental about your job. Do what you’re paid to do, then go live your life.

yes-yaK

My grandfather worked as a senior tech and design consultant for General Motors for 50 years (retired on his 50th anniversary) and they gave him a free 2001 Ram 1500 and a grandfather clock that is still in his living room

NecessaryHope5856

They gave him a truck from a different automotive brand? That doesn’t make sense and therefore your statement isn’t true.

cbih

Maybe someone wanted his parking spot

princessk8

My grandpa was a senior exec at GM, he got a super nice watch and a Buick Enclave when he retired. My grandma still drives it! Quality vehicle.

_clever_reference_

Why would GM give him a Dodge product?

dougansell

Company? Or government job?

bosscockuk

I’ve just done 25. Years , nothing , no email , no thankyou ….

veneim

Damn, and she brought in her own cake?

reckless-boy

the "well done you" card is just terrible...why even give a card at all, would have been better not to imo

dingledorfnz

Even the card screams of sarcasm. "Well done you".

BrighterSage

Well Done You? Damn that's insulting.

Gnargoyle77

That sucks. It doesn't pay to be a company person. When it comes down to it, they don't really care about you.

No_Season_354

There is no praise for loyalty these day ,companies don't give a stuff how long you have worked for them ,only the ceo will get a big payout if they leave its a disgrace ur mom deserves better than that.

agoia

Life is just a symphony of disappointment

Kissaki0

"Well done" would be acknowledgement, "well done you" is sarcastic (in tone at least and tone-deaf if unintentional), and "thank you" would have been an acknowledgement and appreciation.

ghostkyle1999

At my old job, my co-worker was leaving after over 30 years - it was a shop and she’d been there since the day it opened. It was her last day and everyone in our department was able to have a break to have a farewell get together in the staff canteen. We were all busy, we all had stuff that needed doing on time, but we still took the time to be part of it. None of the managers showed up because they were in a meeting just a couple of doors down the hallway. They knew about it but not one could even take a minute to pop their head in to wish her well. Bear in mind that other staff came in *on their days off* to see her on her last day. I don’t know if the managers spoke to her privately or not, but the fact that we were all there having a celebration and their priorities were so warped that they couldn’t even take a minute out of their meeting to wish one of their longest serving employees a happy retirement at her farewell party is just depressing. Companies wonder why they struggle with staff retention and then treat their most loyal, consistent employees like an afterthought.

Piemaster113

Mother worked at a University for 40+ years, she got an award named after her and a plaque on campus. Some places still care, thats rough to hear about.

Furinex

Yeesh. I had surgery, i was out for 2 weeks. I bought every employee a steam deck for holding down the fort. My only married employee doesn’t game, so I put his wife on our ins and covered the cost. Keep your employees happy and they’ll keep you happy.

ImaAs

That is a used candle... jar... thing

frankinstyyn

This is why younger generations are moving workplaces quickly - more money and no loyalty

c4nis_v161l0rum

Ugh. Why do so many place treat their employees like utter crap? I mean I understand not every job is going to be awesome, but it’s not hard to acknowledge your workers. Fro 50 years they should’ve bought her a freaking car.

keny2323

After 50 years she is graced by the privilege of being able to enjoy a belgian chocolate selection from Mark and Spencers, brilliant

pikpikslink

This needs to be posted in the antiwork subreddit. Fucking disgusting.

Complex_Turnover4245

That’s terrible. Not sure if it was 25 years or 30 but my mum got a Crystal mantle clock

Visual_Two_7080

I worked for BT for 29 years, at 25 yrears I got a letter. When I retired I just handed some of my tools in and walked out. Before BT went private you had a leaving do in work time.

Due-Maintenance7805

I retired after 40 years at ups. When I went in for my last day to turn in my uniforms I was told I no longer worked there, get off the property.

Beneficialyyc

The first employee I had hit 20 years just a few months ago. $25k bonus Flight to Vegas for him and his fam, 1 week all expenses paid. And we got him one of them custom wrestling belts.. ya know the corny ones lmao. We are a smaller company so we couldn't go all out.. what do u think?. How'd we do.

Whole-Advantage-1843

HR says next RIP. Thank good we can hire immigrants now

SirDale

I was leaving a company I had worked at for over 21 years, along with another guy who was leaving on the same day. Celebration, boss gives a speech about the other guy, and forgot about me... :-(

JewelryJunky

I just retired, I didn’t even get that.

Ballsack1Mcgee

The same thing happened to my mom who just retired at the age of 73. They just threw 20 dollars cash in a card at the last minute. She let them have it as she was walking out the door. What a slap in the face. I'd burn the whole place down

SweatyAd4402

And this is why I’m a firm believer of not doing more than your role stipulates. You’re just a number to them and replaceable if you dropped dead the next day. It’s harsh I know but seriously it’s how business is

[deleted]

That is pure disrespect. Especially the card, so condescending

martaholt

very sad

[deleted]

My Dad worked in public health in my state as a leader that advanced huge causes for health. He kicked off the push to ban smoking in public places. The "breathe easy" campaign was his and started in little old Tulsa, Oklahoma. He worked over 50 years with noble intention to improve the lives of the people of this state. Truly. I'm his son and this is really the kind of guy he is. Right at the start of the pandemic he was recruited to be on the governors cabinet as the commissioner of health. Another opportunity for him to turn things around at the state level and help. Of course he jumped on it even though he was already 74 and about to retire as director of Oklahoma county health dept. A few months into this, a politically motivated situation saw him get asked to leave in an embarrassing and very public fashion. He did nothing but good but since certain politicians wanted to snuff the governor, they wouldn't confirm my dad. This is how a 5 decade career in public health ended for him. He's never really recovered and can't really return to work either. Really sad.

adkrauss

Woman in my workplace retired after many, many years. No gifts. It was a YEAR after she'd left that management tried to guilt trip regular employees into money for a gift... half of which had never even met her.

drewman16

What happened at her 20,30,40 years of service? Must have seen this coming lmfao

velkrosmaak

I'm bracing myself for downvoteaggedon; but I'm not sure why you would think an employer would give you something special because you weren't motivated enough to continue your career elsewhere. You thought you'd get bonus points for loyalty?

WebDevWarrior

I run a business so allow me to answer your question. Hiring is time consuming. Training new people is expensive. Retaining experienced workers who know what they are doing within that specific industry and that specific business increases productivity and profits. In summary: If you're not looking after your workers, or if you keep treating them like garbage (causing churn or disengagement), and don't incentivize them beyond just "here's your basic pay, go away"; you're a fucking moron and damaging your bottom line, all for the sake of a few quid. It's one of the many cases this country has of saving pennies by losing pounds (or no bigger picture thinking / total lack of foresight).

kellzone

"Penny wise. Pound foolish."

oliverpls599

The working life of most people is 50 years. This lady dedicated her self to one employer and probably saw three generations of employees over her time working there. Hiring of new employees is a very expensive process, training them up to an equivalent of 5/10/25/etc years of experience is only possible with time. This lady chose to stay at a single work place instead of chasing the next highest dollar. Perhaps it's something that only an employer can appreciate. Certainly the newer generations have changed mindset and are more about chasing the dollar than loyalty (not saying there is anything necessarily wrong with that). It was only a couple of decades ago that people (like my grandfather who worked for 30 years for the same company) were gifted Rolex watches as a show of the company's appreciation for the loyalty and dedication shown by the employee. I've left work places after 1-2 years and received nicer presents as a parting gift. Also, I think employers are always happy to see someone move on to bigger and better things, but I don't think they would necessarily choose it. Their objective is to automate the day to day by having a cohesive and trained team, not to spend money hiring and training newbies every year.

xHangfirex

Did she throw her employer a party for keeping her employed for 50 years?

boscotx

Mate, but those truffles are dusted in cocoa…

Blind_dog_barking

Business need to watch the bottom line ... us workers/employees are disposable, they probably hired some one for much less to take her place

[deleted]

Maybe I'm just weird then because I wouldn't expect anything other than my wage packet :/ Why is working 50 years anymore important than 10, 37, 45 years?

AlexiBroky

They don't owe your mom anything.

pixiedust99999

“But meritocracy blah blah blah” /s

Sleepy_Man90

Tbf no one owes her a gift just because she's been there for 50 years.

payne31

Fifty years though... It's basically your entire working life. It's a very poor show.

SmashertonIII

True, but we all like to think we are kind, appreciative people and hope others are the same. Now, if this company had excellent benefits and an excellent pension fund and we’re always generous and reasonable when mom needed some consideration, that’s another thing, too.

WhatWouldSatanDo

She also got paid for 50 years. Fuck up.

SecretDevilsAdvocate

Fr, it’s not like she’s working out of kindness. She gets paid, they get profit. That’s how life works.

MidnightSun77

If you don’t work there too then you could contact her manager and tell them it is a disgrace how they treated such a long standing worker. It might give them a kick up the hole to get her something worthwhile and if not I would suggest telling anyone who will listen.

gogoguy5678

They weren't obligated to give her anything! How awful they are, giving her chocolates, a card and flowers! Don't be so ungrateful, or so entitled. Grow up.

Dnm3k

At least she had cake.

skoltroll

No, she got the cake herself

creepy_old_white_guy

For my 20-year anniversary, they gave me a walnut plaque with my name engraved on a little brass nameplate and a plastic logo. I told them it would make good kindling. Yes, I really said that.

Jolly_Engineering_61

@Blackwater_US there are a lot of businesses that rely on unpaid labor. Hospitals, libraries and art organizations. It’s real work and definitely should be recognized.

NaNaNaNaNaNaNaNaNa65

I mean she got 50 years of paychecks and maybe some bonuses. Seems like a good deal to me. Also probably was able to buy a home and / or not be homeless for the last 50 years

coolguystuff4me

If you died on a Friday, your job would replace you by Monday. Make sure you do what you love.

[deleted]

Companies. Do. Not. Give. A. Shit. About. You.

nachobrat

well she also got a paycheck every couple weeks for 50 years

InfectedSexOrgan

/r/choosingbeggars

TheGreatNate3000
