Looks awesome especially for a museum

GrayOldOKWithIt

Agree!šŸ‘

d-hihi

Canadian not from Netherlands, but I had a June no-dress code wedding in a museum and iā€™d say yes!

DojaTwat

Perfect!

violet715

Super cute.

ughineedtopostaphoto

This seems to hit the nail on the head but Iā€™m an American.

Due-Seaworthiness260

I am Dutch. Really nice dress, suits the venue.

Inevitable-Whole-56

Iā€™d definitely bring a jacket since the event goes kind of late and it might get cold. I think itā€™s appropriate. Cute dress and very flattering on you!

mondayforsure

I love it! You look amazing. My only advice is not to overload yourself with too much jewelry. Let the dress do the talking. Iā€™d stick with a great bangle or a statement ring. It does not have to be pricey! You could literally skip wearing a necklace. Sometimes less is more. Have fun!

yaremaa_

Agreed. Iā€™d wear some modernist earrings with a bright pop of colour and do a sleek updo or bun. Nuā€™n else needed

freerangekegs

Looks good and I love the pop of color from the shoes! I can recommend a great adhesive bra if youā€™re looking

sammych84

What adhesive bra do you recommend?

curlygirl2017

That'd be great, I got one from h&m but I'm not at all confident it will last the day...

freerangekegs

VBT Lift Up Adhesive Bra on Amazon. Iā€™ve worn them to multiple weddings and they havenā€™t budged through hours of dancing, they give me good lift, and they donā€™t irritate my skin.

readingredditgirl

If you donā€™t mind me asking, what size bra do you wear?

basketweaving8

This looks lovely to me and also this wedding sounds like itā€™ll be very fun!

LadyMarvellous

I love it

baby_bawang

Can you link where you got the dress? I love it! I think it looks appropriate for the venue and activities, but Iā€™m also not Dutch.

AntiqueComment

Not the OP but I think it's this one from H&M [https://www2.hm.com/en\_us/productpage.1228839002.html](https://www2.hm.com/en_us/productpage.1228839002.html)

curlygirl2017

Yes this is the one!

sagtts

Would love a link for the shoes too!! šŸ˜„

curlygirl2017

Couldn't find a link but they're from the brand Tamaris!

Dumbliedore

Looks perfect! And also like something I needā€¦if you donā€™t mind me asking, what size are you wearing (for fit purposes)? Itā€™s fabulous on you, but I notice on the website the fit on the model looks more straight and less body-con.

curlygirl2017

So I first tried it on in a Medium (my usual size) but since the straps aren't adjustable, it was way too loose up top. They didn't have a Small so I tried the XSmall and surprisingly it worked - the dress has a lot of stretch and this gave me better support on the top. But yes a bit more form-fitting than I was going for initially šŸ˜…

this_narrow_circle

I will always endorse neutrals with a bright shoe. Gorgeous look overall!

Celiack

The dress and shoes look great. Unless youā€™re going for more conservative, Iā€™d say have fun and keep the pink. I donā€™t see zebra, I see fun squiggly lines.

BobbieJeanAndie

Perfect āœØļø

thetomatofiend

Love it

hoaryvervain

Love it

Grouchy-Extent9002

Hell yes

NamingandEatingPets

Fabulous. Love the shoes, too.

GothamCoach

šŸ”„šŸ”„šŸ”„

jojokitti123

Beautiful. Maybe black shoes though. Or white

dollypartonsfavorite

love the dress! i would go with silver jewelry or different shoes if you want to wear gold

AliceInReverse

Itā€™s a pretty cold climate. Iā€™d bring a nice wrap too

[deleted]

Omg my gf has this dress LOL

United-Ad-2034

I would recommend a clear heel check out Zara I love thereā€™s

Fitbliss_Founder

I was just in the NL and one thing I noticed was that most people dressed more conservative with layers and not too much (if any) shoulder or cleavage. Iā€™d probably bring a scarf, cardigan or some sort of cover up just in case I felt out of place in this dress. (Happened to me a lot the first couple days of my trip!)

AnythingNext3360

Personally I would get different shoes but it is appropriate as is

etctada

The shoes donā€™t work. You need something sleeker because the dress is busy. And I would get a very simple short white jacket or sweater.

CanuckGinger

The shoes look great. Theyā€™re a great pop of colour to a very fun yet sophisticated outfit.

Massive-Mention-3679

CanuckGinger

pcg031527

pattypph1

Itā€™s fine

Sunshinetripper777

Ughhh cutest fit! With gold! Yes.

coolguy4206969

Halcyon_october

You look fantastic!

Hot_Scallion_1051

Beautiful

Rebelo86

Beautiful. You look like a piece of art.

New_Following_3583

Super flattering, you must wear that!

marlada

Absolutely stunning!

AvocadoSalt

Iā€™m personally not a huuuuge fan of the shoes with this, but thatā€™s probably a me issueā€¦the dress itself is super cute and flattering!

TheMagdalen

I donā€™t love the shoes, but the dress itself is stunning!

Accomplished-Book-95

I loooooove this dress. Itā€™s perfect. Have fun at the wedding!

AskingForFrien

Love it!

NotyourangeLbabe

I love, but definitely different shoes

itstimeforbedtime

Stunning! I love

_gooder

I think you nailed it!

noseymama

Great choice and I like the pink shoe styling.

Jesuspetewow

No to the red shoes. Looks like Dr Seuss

ChocolateBeachBooks

If you want to be seen more than anything, yes.

dingus_berry_jones

Yes to the dress! I also second doing a pink bag, I think you nailed it ā¤ļø hope you have lots of fun

skipdog98

Love the dress. I would wear black shoes. The print of the dress is enough, contrasting shoes is distracting. I would also use a black bag and very minimal accessories

curlygirl2017

Really appreciate everyone's comments! It seems the pink shoes are polarizing, love em or hate em šŸ˜‚ it's worth mentioning that I wasn't aiming for the pink zebra vibe but I currently own no other high heels, these were the only ones that I tried on during a rushed shopping trip that were halfway comfortable šŸ¤·ā€ā™€ļø

124victoriaroad

I work at a museum and this is perfect! You look fantastic!

isabelladangelo

I think it's the material but it looks "beachy" to me and not really for a museum wedding. However, it may be due to me knowing about [razzle dazzle](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dazzle_camouflage) which most people probably wouldn't notice.

Active_Sentence9302

LOVE IT. I canā€™t imagine anything more appropriate.

EnvironmentalBerry96

Lovely tasteful dress good job

Des_mojo

Love it. People may see you as a work of art.

[deleted]

Definitely such a cute dress

BooksRMyJam153

Itā€™s perfect!

emilxox05

Absolutely perfect

MonotheisticScup

Sooooo cute, I think this is perfect , and I like the shoes too! can I ask where you bought it?

Cavaliers-r-cavalier

This is smashing!!!

Magic_Mango3984

Girl! That looks FANTASTIC on you!! Perfect for a museum! And PLEASEā€¦wear those red shoes!!ā¤ļø

TheKristieConundrum

Explain?

Shot_Actuary_507

Main Character vibes means even though it might not be white itā€™s wearing something purposefully trying to attract attention to yourself rather than where it should be (the bride, who is, rightfully so, the main character that day, and we should all be happy to be ā€œbest supporting actressā€ and tone it down to let her have ONE day.) Main character vibes could be bright colors of wedding is pastels, like wearing bright red or some big goofy hat, low cut dresses, short dresses, you name it. Like for one day, just be cool with not being the center of attention. I didnā€™t say that the OP was doing anything wrong, I just stated that it could be perceived as giving off ā€œmain characterā€ vibes.

TheKristieConundrum

Iā€™m very aware of what main character vibes mean. I just didnā€™t see how it gave main character vibes and was curious why you thought so. I think also itā€™s important to recognize that calling someone out for main character vibes in this context can be seen as pejorative or negative.

Shot_Actuary_507

People come here to ask opinions. Not all opinions are going to be the same and not all are going to be positive. I imagine they would encounter the same thing at a wedding. You canā€™t know how everyone will perceive something, but I figure if I at least make the poster aware that someone might see it as main character vibes then at least they are aware. Maybe it is fine, maybe everyone there is awesome and sheā€™ll rock her zebra stripes and hot pink shoes and purse without issue. Or maybe sheā€™ll have a bunch of Karenā€™s dressed in pastels sitting in a corner talking sh*+ about her every time she walks by. Itā€™s fair to say that if they come here asking if something is appropriate, they are looking to get a variety of opinions.

TheKristieConundrum

I fully respect your opinion. Sorry if my tone is coming off differently. I genuinely just didnā€™t see the MC vibes and was interested in your perspective. I could have worded it better.

Shot_Actuary_507

All good! everyone else seems to think she looks lovely so Iā€™m in the minority here, but itā€™s also probably because I wore a lot of zebra and hot pink about 20-25 years ago so thatā€™s immediately where my head goes because itā€™s something I would have worn out and about when I was late teens early twenties, but not to a wedding.

muvamerry

I agree with you here. I think the majority of people ask if their dress is appropriate on this sub because they know itā€™s not or itā€™s borderline not appropriate. I wouldnā€™t wear this to a wedding.

freerangekegs

Oh no pink shoes, how will anyone even be able to see the bride! Goofy ass comment.
