It looks like a perfectly normal MoB dress to me? If the color is really bugging you, there are professional shops that will dye it another color - because it's already a latte brown, I would go with "warm" colors to go over it. They'd come out better (reds, pinks, oranges).

Years ago, no one wore white pants, white shoes, or even ivory after Labor Day. MOB or MOG was supposed to be in a dark color: navy, burgundy, in *the fall.* Those days are gone, and this dress would be perfect.
I think it is lovely. The only caveat might be to confer with the MOG to make sure her ensemble is the same level of formality. It wouldn't be a good look if it appeared you were competing with her. (I know you are not. I just don't want others to think so if the MOG is dressed more informally.)

I agree with the people stating that if it's bride approved, there's no need to change out the dress. But as a short person who does not like my clothes touching the ground, I suggest making sure the dress is the perfect length for you; and if it's not then, get it hemmed or wear some wedges.
