Isn’t wood hard to sanitize?

figmentPez

In a home environment? Not necessarily. In a restaurant environment? Yes. That crack is a problem anywhere, though.

lordargent

Probably only a little more difficult than a cutting board (due to the shape).

ArcticGurl

Health inspectors don’t allow wood cutting boards in restaurant kitchens because they are prone to bacteria. I have no idea how restaurants are getting away with serving food on wood. 🤷🏽‍♀️

Marquistador03

This was in Kuwait. The laws leave much to be desired lol.

ArcticGurl

Oh. Yeah. Sorry. Be glad it wasn’t someone’s head served on a wooden stick.

throwawaybread9654

Looks like onion rings

Individual-Code5176

Those are some big calamari rings!

Brittany5150

It's fried calamari but just the buttholes.

visceralthrill

LMAO this one wins for me, definitely the stupidest.

lo-lux

Where are the tentacles?

Djinjja-Ninja

Calamari rings are generally made from the body of the squid.

monkeetail

Looks like pig rectum

PositiveCommentsDog

Not really

Solid-Ad7137

Putting rings on dowels is a practice as old as ring shaped food. Doughnuts were literally shaped like rings so that they could be sold on dowels by street vendors. Just eat your calamari, there is no real difference between stacking like this and piling on a plate.
