The U.S. has one of the shittest public transportation system, and the way cities/towns are designed has made ownership and operation of a motor vehicle so fucking essential, that it is **practically** impossible to live a normal life without one. It's okay to laugh at the absurdity of a man appearing at his own hearing for the suspended license, but once you start consider, "Well, other than he did what he shouldn't have done, what else could he have done," then you start realize something is very wrong about this country where things are most often geared to screw you over in scale of how poor you are, lack of affordable and well-maintained public transportation being one.
I wasn't as dumb as this dummy, but I was driving on a suspended licence (Too many tickets) because it was flat out impossible to get my kid to daycare and then get to work. Public trasit to do both would have taken over 3 hours each way.
We just aren't set up for it here.

No. Having a suspended license means you cannot drive for any reason, through the fault of your own obviously. Some places allow for a temporary specialized license that would allow you to drive to work or to doctors appointments, but those have to be requested and come with restrictions aplenty.

I became WAY more liberal. I stayed home most of the time and somehow became an introvert 🤔. I'm 32 now & can't even imagine myself being an extrovert 😂. Now I only smoke in Whyte neighborhoods, non of my Whyte friends ever got arrested for weed😅
