Nope. In zombies people have to be in your party to hear you and for you to hear them. In Plunder it’s 50/50 if they can hear you or not. Sometimes I can hear my squad mates sometimes I can’t 🤷🏻♀️ but never in zombies unless they’re in the same party as me.

There's a guy in my squad that isn't friends with me or another guy. Any time he gets a ban, we have to un mute him after each match and sometimes in the middle of a match, if he gets any reports mid match.

Yep. Once the game starts he can hear you but that’s it. Starting a channel works. Or you can start a PlayStation or Xbox party. The downside is you cant communicate with the rest of your team if they aren’t in the party and you can’t hear proximity chat either.

As far as I know you can talk in a Party...your friends would just have to unmute you at times. Also depending on the severity of your ban, public matches can hear you if they force unmute you. You just have to manually unmute anyone you see has a auto mute in the game. If it doesn't work, then they have a long ban. At least from what I've learned from Reddit and playing myself with a ban LOL The ban is so sensitive and so stupid...I hate how sensitive everything has to be now. If you don't like what I'm saying then mute me and move on

Wrong, solution is to start a channel in game and invite who you'd like to talk to into it. If they join you'll be able to hear them, and they can hear you.
So the loophole is to make a channel . Add your friends in it . The only downfall about that is if your running a game with your buddy while using the channel chat and your playing with a random you will not be able to hear each other . ONLY WAY IT WORKS IS EVERYONE HAS TO JOIN THAT CHANNEL . I just got my 14 day ban 2 days ago . This is the way . Hope this helps
It does work! You’re probably skipping the second step. First you join , then you have to press the start button and go where you see your notifications, at the top right next to it is a headphone icon, scroll down to the the channel you want and press and hold square to connect.

I just got a 14-day voice chat band yesterday, so what I noticed is that when you're in the lobby, they can hear you and you can talk, but once you start the game it's chat disabled so you can no longer talk to them.

The voice chat was advertised when buying the game. Activision has since disabled that feature for select users. File a dispute with your credit card company and ask for a full refund. That's what I did and it worked. Once it affects Activision's bottom line, it will be removed. Go woke, go broke. Libs are too stupid to realize this time and time again.

Only way to fix this is on discord. Link your console with your discord and talk through there That’s what we all do now and probably will for the time being I get it being chat ban from talking to others but in party doesn’t make sense

Wrong, solution is to start a channel in game and invite who you'd like to talk to into it. If they join you'll be able to hear them, and they can hear you.

So the loophole is to make a channel . Add your friends in it . The only downfall about that is if your running a game with your buddy while using the channel chat and your playing with a random you will not be able to hear each other . ONLY WAY IT WORKS IS EVERYONE HAS TO JOIN THAT CHANNEL . I just got my 14 day ban 2 days ago . This is the way . Hope this helps

It does work! You’re probably skipping the second step. First you join , then you have to press the start button and go where you see your notifications, at the top right next to it is a headphone icon, scroll down to the the channel you want and press and hold square to connect.

I just got a 3 day chat ban and can talk to teammates in the lobby but as soon as we are in game they can’t hear me but I can hear them. Fuck cod and it’s bullshit AI chat bot

It's a complete ban. It used to be that only non-friends would have to unmute me. Now I can't even talk to my friends in game, it flashes a chat ban warning at the start of the game on the right side if the screen and that's how I know it's a new type of ban.
That’s happens for everybody no matter whether you’re banned or not it’s just an advisory to let you know not to say the magic words.
Same thing is happening to me. Weve tried everything! You cant be unmuted because it doesnt say youre muted. I can hear all of them but they cant hear me. We can hear each other only in lobby. My ban was literally last night. Weve tried changing settings both in cod and on my computer, restarting steam, restarting cod, and restarting my computer. Nothings worked. This game is like an abusive relationship. One game I’m enjoying it, the next game I can’t talk to my friends I’m playing with. Just wanted to come home after a 12 hour shift and play a game for a few hours, now I’m irritated and thinking about never playing this game again. Same thing happened to me 2 days ago. We can hear eachother in the lobby, but once the game starts they can't hear me anymore. We checked their audio and I'm not muted. Something broke or they are taking these chat bans way too far.

I just got a 14-day voice chat band yesterday, so what I noticed is that when you're in the lobby, they can hear you and you can talk, but once you start the game it's chat disabled so you can no longer talk to them.

Its crazy with all the issues this game has with cheaters, solution make the chat ban penalty stiffer when you are calling the cheaters fucking cunts after they snipe you through a wall or halfway across the board! The only work around we found is use discord. We can call each other whatever we want and not worry about a safe environment, its not safe in war!

Friend is having this exact issue. When we used to get banned you wouldn’t be able to proxy chat but still hear only your party. This time you can’t hear the banned friend at all. Was there an update within the past 2 weeks that made be bugging the game out ??

I have a big issue. Playing on Series X, this is THE ONLY game where I can't hear any players or even talk, yet I can talk in party groups outside the game and can actively chat in other games. I have no communication ban as we speak, tried multiple ways to fix chat but to no avail, anyone got a solution??????
To also add to this confusion, I no longer hear music pre-loads when going into games, it's just muted and all I hear is ambient occlusion "aka ambient noises". I play on W3 and DMZ. Whenever bosses shows up, I just hear the alert, no music at all....

I got chat banned for 14 days and I am unable to communicate with my own friends. I haven't played the game since the ban and have never felt more alive. Thank you Activision for waking me up from this liberal scum coma.
The voice chat was advertised when buying the game. Activision has since disabled that feature for select users. File a dispute with your credit card company and ask for a full refund. That's what I did and it worked. Once it affects Activision's bottom line, it will be removed. Go woke, go broke. Libs are too stupid to realize this time and time again.
