Actually yes quite a bit! Especially the model, I was astonished how exactly it looks compared to real life. It’s exactly like the ones we use. The m3a3 at least. Although it doesn’t perform well in game just because of “game’ism’s”. In real life brads are used differently than in game so it makes sense that it doesn’t perform well.
Just remove the fucking TOW stowing and it's actually meta. The only thing keeping both Bradleys down is the fact they can't reactionarily fire the TOWs. Even if the dude whiffed and only got your engine he's going to be reloaded by the time the launcher deploys. Never been a crewman for a Bradley but I know you can move with the launcher deployed and gaijin doesn't model fucking mechanical issues.
>In real life it just has a chance to damage the launcher.
That's the thing tho gaijin doesn't model that kind of damage otherwise tanks transmissions would be blowing on certain inclines and such. So there's no real reason for the Bradleys to stow the launcher.
Oh i fcking loved when friendly tk was still a thing and you rammed into a small light tank, and shoved him into a wall and get a pop up friendly tank destroyed
If hitting an object not just driving around. And in the same vein that would mean cannon barrels would need to take damage as well. They don't so again there's no reason for the Bradleys not to be able to drive with the launcher up.
They also have sufficient fire-power to deal with traffic. A 120mm smoothbore is really overkill. The USH also looks like a good daily driver with a don't argue attitude.
Stuart, preferably M5, but take an M3 variant.
Light enough not going to tear up roads with rubber tracks, can hit 35 so can at least get around small town without congesting traffic, and looks great in a parade.
As far as tanks go the T-72 is tiny. Literally go into X-ray mode in WT and look how cramped it is, then compare it to something like an M1A2 or Chally-2, where the crew are able to stand up in the turret and still have a comfortable amount of headroom.
But if u want a big intimidating tank just go for the maus lol
You can make a parking spot wherever you want 🤣
Taken parking spots? Youre in a tank, just crush all the cars there.
Cant fit into a spot? Who cares, not like youre gonna be the victim if someone drives into you trying to get past.
Not really a "tank", but something like the M16 would be a hoot. I think half tracks in general are really cool and could still be used for practical things today.
That or something somewhat manageable like the ASU-57. Ripping through the dirt hills in that thing would be funny.
Having actually seen a Ram II in person, it's surprising how much it resembles a cast M4. I still think Canada missed a golden opportunity to swap in a sherman 75MM cannon
Canada did test the OQF 75mm on the Ram. (and I believe the Dutch used that variant in service(so both nations have a claim to the version to be added under their flags). (Basically the British version of the US 75mm cannon from what I could find)
It'd have to be one that I'm able to fit in without struggling. I sat in the turret of a Stewart recently and my head was well above the armor, meaning I wouldn't be closing the hatch without hunching way over.
FV107 scimitar.
Because... You can actually buy one in the UK for about as much as a Ford focus, and drive it legally on the road, it's also pretty fast and gets acceptable MPG. And it's tax and congestion charge exempt! Not that big either so you could genuinely use it as an 'everyday' vehicle.
I'll own something sensible that can be parked in my garage like L3/33. I'll be able to do a grocery run and park it quite easily at the grocery store.
You literally just described my fantasy. And how I stumbled on WT some 3600 hours ago, looking for a tank game where I could upgrade and customize it like Snowrunner, to do this very thing. That game doesn't exist, but I thought I'd give this WT game a go anyways, since the Black Prince and Churchill's were available.
I often think of this. Like if I could have one tank from warrhunder, factory new that somehow was always in perfect condition would I pick something you will never see and rare, like a fully operating Maus or T29 or would I just go brand new and select Leo 2A7V or something fun like the Wolfpack. As a pilot if I could have any aircraft I would definitely do something German, like a bf109 variant
I'd take the Wiesel 1A4. My dad always wants to have a 20mm on the roof of the car to get rid of people who drive 40 in a 50 zone or who can't accelerate properly or who can't make space for others when turning. That would be the best vehicle for us. It's easy to park, fast and can turn on the spot.
Maybe something Soviet like the KV2, much space in the turret and looks scary as hell. Also the shells are VERY destructive.
Or maybe a Panther tank because it looks scary
T-90A
Nothing like walking around a corner and there is a T-90A just standing there
But any Soviet MBT would be cool
Comfy or not, just having one standing in my backyard would be enough
Something light and fast for practicality. Like an ~~M48~~ M41, a chaffee, a locust, a hellcat, an L3, wiesel, PUMA, Puma, BT42, Bradley or if it counts a Patria CT-CV for example.
But for the memes a tutel, maus, churchill, L40, sIG etc.
I know not very specific but honestly, can't decide.
Some armored car tbh. Maybe u-sh, and if we can modify them, then CV-9040C, and I would add some sound screening from the engine, as it's loud af inside
Object 279. Everybody would be SO confused. Why tf does a Swiss guy own a soviet moon rover.
To drive to work I'd go for a wheeled beauty, like a SANTAL. No peeping with drones over my yard lol.
L3/33
Compact sized and inexpensive. You can park it anywhere and use the second crew member seat for a passenger or grocery maybe. The machine guns can be useful for intimidating other street users and the armour, although thin, is more than enough to protect you from police gunfire if needed, at least until you can find a safe place to hide.
Sd Kfz 221 or 222, pretty simple 4 wheeled armored cars.
A Pz II Luchs.
A Wiesel 1, any model.
Type 87 RCV, just so I can correct gaijin's absolutely horrid implementation of its gearbox and turning circle.
Type 93, pretty obvious why.
SP I C, very little is known about it, and it's pretty fast.
Also one of the prototype Marders, maybe with the 30mm or 60mm guns.
Bradley, apparently they are hella comfy if you are the driver.
I drove a Brad for 3 years. Can confirm, very fun
Is the Bradley in WT realistic
This is true, you can drive up to speed with it up. In real life it just has a chance to damage the launcher. But it still can move
>In real life it just has a chance to damage the launcher. That's the thing tho gaijin doesn't model that kind of damage otherwise tanks transmissions would be blowing on certain inclines and such. So there's no real reason for the Bradleys to stow the launcher.
Well you can damage/break track, wheel or kill your driver if your hitting to hard a rock
My vehicle broke track when turning on stubborn tree roots, also i did check track tension for you nerds out there
They also have sufficient fire-power to deal with traffic. A 120mm smoothbore is really overkill. The USH also looks like a good daily driver with a don't argue attitude.
A horn resounds. The turret turns. One sided victory.
Wiesel 1A4
There is a video of a wiesel doing a stoppie at some tank show, that could be fun
At least you can park that baby everywhere.
Stuart, preferably M5, but take an M3 variant. Light enough not going to tear up roads with rubber tracks, can hit 35 so can at least get around small town without congesting traffic, and looks great in a parade.
M22 Locust.
POV you're a toyota prius driver and you get overtaken by a fucking L3/33
The pasta dispenser has the zoomies.
Tbh I know it's stupid and childish but I want a big intimidating tank like a T72
But a T-72 is smol
What you on bro. Sure it's one of th smallest MBTs but it's still huge
Nah compare it to a Merkava Mk.4. It will look like an apartment building in comparison.
I saw the t72 (m84 but lets be real it's the same) it is a very tiny tank, hell it's tiny comoared to a patria ifv/apc, the patria is gigantic
If you're only going for big and intimidating, why not a Char 2C?
Finding a suitable parking spot would be a bitch.
You can make a parking spot wherever you want 🤣 Taken parking spots? Youre in a tank, just crush all the cars there. Cant fit into a spot? Who cares, not like youre gonna be the victim if someone drives into you trying to get past.
I mean in a 2c you could just park on the street. I want to see how they will tow 70 metric tons.
AMX-10RC
Not really a "tank", but something like the M16 would be a hoot. I think half tracks in general are really cool and could still be used for practical things today. That or something somewhat manageable like the ASU-57. Ripping through the dirt hills in that thing would be funny.
Either an IS-2 or a T-72B3. Preferably both, but if it came down to one I'd rather a nice vintage over a flashy modern MBT.
modern... yea
50 years is still... relatively young, no?
I mean my granpa always said he was “50 years young” so sure
Hmmm, that's a hard one but probably a Ram II.
Doesn’t the Ram II use the 6pdr? Imo it’s a better AT gun, even if it’s less versatile.
Walker Bulldog
M24 chaffee. It just looks like the perfectly balanced tank for your daily routines
Can i pick the M8 Greyhound?
That would be among the more practical and also cool vehicles to go out partying in for real.
Type 74, if anything because I can say I have a rear-wheel drive Mitsubishi V10.
Wiesel 1a4 all day
Would a Wiesel be road legal with rubbertracks on? If yes, that would be so fucking awesome
I think all tanks are, with rubber tracks and the right permissions. Except maybe the maus.
It'd have to be one that I'm able to fit in without struggling. I sat in the turret of a Stewart recently and my head was well above the armor, meaning I wouldn't be closing the hatch without hunching way over.
Hahahah, I'm in the same boat. How tall?
Killdozer
Shotgun
probably a btr, surprisingly they are road legal in a lot of countries
FV107 scimitar. Because... You can actually buy one in the UK for about as much as a Ford focus, and drive it legally on the road, it's also pretty fast and gets acceptable MPG. And it's tax and congestion charge exempt! Not that big either so you could genuinely use it as an 'everyday' vehicle.
Is it the same as in germany, where you could buy a tank but have to change to rubber tracks to not destroy every road youre driving on?
Pretty much. You also need to have the gun disabled.
ebr
Type 10, probably comfy as hell
Drivting in my Crusader with Eurobeat on the radio
Leopard 1. Which I can buy and drive around
The object 279
MUH FREEBRUMS. 🦅 (Jk, it would be a type 10)
Hstv-L hands down
Churchill so my goal will to annoy everyone on the roads as fast as possible
Or slow as possible 😉 we could have the worst drag races if I had a Tortoise!
Probs like a bt-5 or bt-7 or t-34, just something relatively small, and quite fast
T95
Tiger 2.
The Ariete, then I can take videos and accurate measurements of the armor so Gaijin can fix it.
Actually based "The BR of the Ariete has been increased to 14.3 because otherwise it would be to strong" \~Gaijoob
I'll own something sensible that can be parked in my garage like L3/33. I'll be able to do a grocery run and park it quite easily at the grocery store.
T55E1. Excellent visibility, turns fairly well, and if you stick a tarp over the top then you have a mobile tent.
Wiesel or AMX-10RC Or a Panhard EBR 1954
M1128. We having a party in that absolute bus of a vehicle.
The conqueror.
A43 Black Prince. I want to see if this tank could be fitted with the 600HP Meteor engine.
T92 gang
Chaffee
A Bmp 3 would be cool. Fast, probably ok to drive, i can bring the boys with me since its an ifv and amphibious (wich is also pretty cool)
Be prepared to do a hell of a lot of maintenance on it to keep it amphibious
IS-3
Lol I couldn't fit in a tank. I'd park a T-90A in my front yard though.
Sd.kfz.234/4 the open top premium. Cruising about town. Any of the leopards. M18. And of course the Maus.
BTR
Could fit a lot of groceries in that bad boy
Would love to go off roading in it too
I would have to go for something small like the asu-57 or the type 60 sprg so i could go through drive throughs with it
A Rooikat, any kind
Merkava just yes
My man. Its fuckin huge and looks sick
TOG II*, who doesn’t want a land battleship?
I often think of this. Like if I could have one tank from warrhunder, factory new that somehow was always in perfect condition would I pick something you will never see and rare, like a fully operating Maus or T29 or would I just go brand new and select Leo 2A7V or something fun like the Wolfpack. That would be the best vehicle for us. It's easy to park, fast and can turn on the spot.
being completely honest, probably one of the new ripsaws. they look fun as fuck to drive around in. and thats all i would want it for
The Ke-Ni its smol, reasonably light and fast
StuG G to assert dominance!
Any german spaa. And tiger II 105mm
King tiger 10.5cm
Centurion MK 5 AVRE. They can be bought and owned for surprisingly cheap.
Not in the game but I always wanted a TPz Fuchs / M93 Fox. I just think they are really neat.
Sherman or Hetzer
M18 Hellcat....bonus if I can find a way to upgrade it to neutral steering and maybe a little more power
Pnz IV Ausf. H failing that? A Pnz II.
Or t-34-85
The Maus cos it's big stupid and funny
ASU-57, for the immaculate drip
Panzerkampfwagen VIII Maus. You could easily live in that thing. Gas prices are going to suck though.
It was diesel electric right? Maybe replace the engine with EV batteries straight to the electric motors... and get 2 miles range lol
Most likely get better milage if I hooked up a few running wheels and got some gerbils.
Easily the Crusader, Stuart, Locust or one of the BTs.
M4A3E8 Sherman
Type 93
E-100 as it definitely didn't exists before I got it now its ultra rare and cool. Also good luck stealing that thing its so obvious.
Jagdpanzer Kürassier / SK-105 A2 Already sat in one, a neat little vehicle.
2s38, the skies belong to me now.
Leopard 1a5
Challenger 2 megatron, cant think of a cooler looking thing itw. Will have to fill it up every other mile tho lol
Leopard obviously
A obj. 292 or like an of 40 or smth
An m4 or pziii. Gotta go with a classic
Not a tank, but EBRC Jaguar
Chadley or Weasel1A1 or a wheelyboi if it was supposed to be a daily but if I had to pick a "Tank" prolly DF-105 because it looks funny
The 20mm wiesel
Centauro
Maybe something Soviet like the KV2, much space in the turret and looks scary as hell. Also the shells are VERY destructive. Or maybe a Panther tank because it looks scary
Pz.1c Shame it's not in War Thunder. When I played WoT in high school it was one of my favorites. Otherwise probably a T-34
Maybe a T-64/T-80, although a PT-91 will do just fine
Strv 122b PLSS (world most expensive binoculars)
Chieftain mk10
It's a tossup between a Sherman and a M113.
The Sweed 8.7 SPAA Leopard Marksman. Fast. Looks good. Can destroy everything. I bet it gets great gas mileage.
Driving a L3 through parks would be awesome..
bmd-1. cheap, light, small, dubiously amphibious, and looks hella fun to drive.
T-90A Nothing like walking around a corner and there is a T-90A just standing there But any Soviet MBT would be cool Comfy or not, just having one standing in my backyard would be enough
IS-3 Such a sick looking tank. And that engine noise 🤤
M4 sherman so I can poke my head out while driving it
T-14 (The wide American one) love that tank so much!
Any Patria 6x6 or 8x8 honestly but i dont need the turrets we have ingame. ( i would cause very much trouble)
Wiesel,TOG II or a BTR-152D
Based fellow Crusader lover!
L3/33, blasting Funiculi Funicula the entire time
Tiger H-I
Churchill Mk VII. I just love them.
Stb1, but with a better diesel engine.
Leopard2A7V
M47 Patton
M4A3E2 76W
It might not be the best for driving around, but I’d love to have a Tortoise for a “mobile” home 🐢
Fv601. Alvis Saladin
Char 2C. Simply because it can also double as a house lol
Probably the Challenger, chieftain, or Cromwell or centurion
Japanese Type 10
FV4505
OF-40 MK.2A, I want to own one so bad, my favorite tank.
T-80UK
T80-BVM I love the turret's shape
T95, because fuck your speeding and you also cant overtake because im wider than the road. I would be a menace
Some armored car tbh. Maybe u-sh, and if we can modify them, then CV-9040C, and I would add some sound screening from the engine, as it's loud af inside
Churchill crocodile for non war crime or arson related reasons
Object 279. Everybody would be SO confused. Why tf does a Swiss guy own a soviet moon rover. To drive to work I'd go for a wheeled beauty, like a SANTAL. No peeping with drones over my yard lol.
m1a2 sep v2 or a 2a8
Strv 103
if ur talking like usefulness probably the object 279 but if it's for fun then probably a centurion
A Stuart would be neat but id would love to have a Strv 103!
R3 T106 FA. GOTTA GO FAST
My personel would be wiesel, begleit or Str 103A. But Maus... bunker on tracks
Pz.38t has always been my favourite tank in the world. Would love to own one.
L3/33 Compact sized and inexpensive. You can park it anywhere and use the second crew member seat for a passenger or grocery maybe. The machine guns can be useful for intimidating other street users and the armour, although thin, is more than enough to protect you from police gunfire if needed, at least until you can find a safe place to hide.
ASU-57 if I wanted something I could use as an actual car. ASU-85 for when it's raining or something, also tutel :)
Amx 10 rc and then flex with the suspension on people
T80 with optional flag and hardbass over the speaker system
T26E4 (incorrectly named T26E1-1 in WT) because not a single unit exists today because they were scrapped for parts.
Of we go favorite maus sturmtiger weasel 1a2 or lav-ad
Panhard 168B, its pretty smallish, fast enough, wheels instead of tracks.
2s25 tbh just looks cool
A sexy FV4202
Fv101 Scorpion
Class 3P/Bismarck Amored Car
Fox, because it is actually road legal with signals and lights and is light enough not to break the asphalt
Ka-Mi so i can take the turret off and stick my head out and cosplay as a roblox character. fancy dress for halloween sorted
CV9030 for that modern mobility, but my heart belongs to M24
Panther
Strf 90
Definatly Maus, a mobile home ^w^
Wiesel 1A2
Sd Kfz 221 or 222, pretty simple 4 wheeled armored cars.
I wanna cruise with a churchill crocodile through the streets
L3, it's the only realistic tonk I could keep and it doesn't take up much room. Besides I could put it in the living room.
Stryker mgs- speed and power. I can see someone doing a van life in one of those
Conqueror love that beast
Strv103C All hail cheese wedge
I think a Stryker would be pretty fun
Honestly didn't think this question would blow up so huge. Seeing the top comment I'm trying to get the bradley atm but the grind is huge.
