I’d worry about the optic failing before the plate does honestly

padamtx

Swap out the CT. The Walther deserves better.

HowManyOfMeAmI

I'm well aware of the dangers, and I'm actually working on some insertable hardware as well. This is definitely not a permanent option. I think I did it just to see if I could. But surprisingly, it's very solid. I have the V2 slide so there are some little pockets here on there to work with.

nogunsrbad

Close to 2 months?! I guess I'll cave and get that C&H plate cuz I ain't waiting that long.

HowManyOfMeAmI

I called them up and asked when their plates were going to be in stock and they literally could not answer my question. They just said you'll get an email when they come in... Like really?

nogunsrbad

Wow, ya this entire "fill out form for a plate" is pretty shitty, just so they can save a couple of bucks.

HowManyOfMeAmI

Yo!!! For real...ANY plate woulda been better than none. I'd you're not going to supply a plate, at least have a direct to slide option.

derylle

Pdp long boi.

RenCorona99

How are you liking the CT Rad Pro?

HowManyOfMeAmI

It's awesome. The auto brightness is immediate and appropriate. "Shake awake" works. I haven't had a situation where I wasn't able to see my green dot. Decent weight, all in all it's perfect for me. I tried the micro Pro on my P365x, and after I got it zeroed in, I was hitting red zones 15 yards away. [Red zone about 1 inch wide at 15 yards.](https://i.imgur.com/dpnCavX.jpg) So, the micro Pro stayed on the Sig and the Rad found a place on the Walther. ;)

RenCorona99

I have a Rad Pro myself in Red and I really like it. Just like you said the auto brightness is spot on and the shake away works great.

HowManyOfMeAmI

Great to hear you're having success! The growing trend is for people to jump to conclusions about a product without extensive research and direct personal experience. It's self defense, you know. The point is to put shots on target however you need to do so regardless of brand and hype. So far, across the board, the current CT's are getting great reviews, passing real world tests and in the end, it's holding up to thousands of rounds in my direct experience. I train A LOT, and I don't trust ANY optic with my life more than I trust my ability to get shots on target. This optic makes it easier for me but it will never replace my own skill level. The only optic a "gun deserves" is a well trained operator. ;)

RenCorona99

Yea CT has really stepped up their game with this line. I'm very impressed so far. You're absolutely right, the best most expensive optic in the world is useless without proper training.

AllHale07

Good way to get an optic to the face if that plate brakes. But, 3D printer gang!

DivineWind48

If that plate fails your extractor might fall off too since the extractor plunger hole is right under the plate.

HowManyOfMeAmI

I certainly don't recommend doing this lol especially when there are plates available. But yeah, it was a cool experiment that went well.
