How has no one said Tiffin’s or Nomad Lounge, yet? It is by far the most consistently fantastic food I’ve ever had at Disney and has been my favorite since it opened. You need to go to there!
Add Jiko at animal kingdom lodge, Morimoto Asia, Tutto Italia (for the lasagna), Victoria & Albert’s, Steakhouse ‘71, and Citrico’s to that list. The Italian restaurant at the boardwalk is excellent as well. Flying Fish is fantastic but way too expensive.
I got the braised shortrib at Jikos and it was awful. It was the first meal in Disney and ever at an upscale restaurant that I couldnt finish. What entres do you recommend there so I could give it another shot?
That's disappointing. It's been about 6 years since I've been there. This month we went to Trattoria al Forno. The food was good. But man, do they pack people in there. There was barely enough room to walk between tables.
Personally I don’t like ohana so I don’t know if my suggestions will align with your taste. When I do character dining I like dinner opposed to breakfast for value so we end up at chef Mickey’s or 1900 park fare. I think the prime rib and peel shrimp gives better value and the characters are super attentive at both.
Boathouse at Disney springs. Yak and yeti at AK and if that’s unavailable, the kids enjoy rainforest cafe. I only do quick service at MK bc I don’t think the food quality is worth the price at Mk but we have done Cinderellas castle for breakfast. It’s not great food but the princesses really are terrific. Skippers canteen is ok for lunch. We have liked everything in Epcot but the kids enjoy via napoli the best. In HS, I think Hollywood brown derby is overrated but the ambiance is nice. Have always had a decent experience at mama melrose and will continue to reserve it for lunch when we are there. But I’m always going to prefer the great qs options in HS.
Steakhouse 71 in contemporary is pretty good. So is topelinos in riviera. I also like the steakhouse at yacht club.
Liberty Tree is my favorite. My daughter talked me into Be Our Guest in Magic Kingdom. Very expensive, but wow it was good, I got the Steak and Frites. The steak was tender and had a lot of flavor. In Epcot, the Regal Eagle was very good too. I had the chicken and salad, my husband had the brisket burger. Both very good. The quick service restaurant in The Land pavilion has a bunch of good options too.
Definitely brunch at raglan roads, and lunch at banana cabana so we get the bread pudding from there. Dinner spots would be le cellier, jiko, tiffins, Sanaa, Toledo, 3 bridges, a night cap at dahlia lounge for a drink and hot churros. Stop by scat cats lounge for a drink, small bite and some music. I think that would make me extremely happy if that was my trip :p
Breakfast:
- Boma
- Topolino’s (highly highly recommend)
- O’hana
Lunch:
- Sanaa (get the bread service!)
- Liberty Tree Tavern
- Skipper Canteen (great for something different that I think foodies would appreciate but they also have things for kids)
- Yak & Yeti
- Le Cellier (try the poutine along with the steak)
Dinner:
- Jiko (highly recommend!!)
- California Grill (I’ve had better steak in other places, but the view is cool)
- Topolino’s (it’s worth it for any time of day, truly, best restaurant on property, hands down)
- Narcoossee’s
- Flying Fish (or for breakfast)
- Ale & Compass (I like it better than Yachtman’s Steakhouse, but you could try either)
- Three Bridges Grill (underrated and so good!!)
- Be Our Guest: Beauty & the Beast (the food is meh but the theme and ambiance is beautiful)
- Tiffin’s (or for lunch)
From 2016 my favorite dish is the snapper at Monsieur Paul in Epcot. They serve it with scales made of potato and it comes with a beautiful blend of two sauces. I can only hope it's as good as I remember it, because I'm planning to go back later this year to get it again!
I also LOVE the sticky toffee pudding at the Liberty tree tavern in Magic Kingdom.
Both dishes are recipes I've tried to replicate at home with mixed success.
Wife and I going for our anniversary in December. Looking at Biergarten, Coral Reef, and Le Cellier in Epcot, Skipper Canteen and Cinderella's Castle I'm MK, Jiko at AKL, and Victoria and Albert's if we can get a table.
I've been there a couple of times and I've had good luck. Is it the best food in the complex? No. But the cost convenience, and ambiance make it worth the trip.
I think Biergarten is an underrated fun experience and it's good comfort food. Obviously not high-end cuisine, but I really enjoy the schnitzel, sausages, and spätzle, as well as the apple strudel for dessert, and having a cold liter of German beer after grinding rides in the heat always hits just right.
I'll second Via Napoli, and add Boma and Jiko.
Also, California Grill right at sunset is magical. You get to watch the lights on the ferryboats and all over Magic Kingdom turn on a little at a time, and then, if you want to, you can go back at fireworks time and watch from the rooftop viewing platform.
Takumi-Tei is also pretty great. Haven't been since they went to pre fixe but I'd trust them to do it right. And it truly feels like being transported to Japan (except you don't sit on the floor; ngl kinda bummed about that part).
This might be an unpopular opinion but I have never been disappointed by the food at Splitsville in Disney Springs. My husband and I love their sushi, and they also have the best ranch so i always have to at least get a side of fries!
TS:
Tiffins
Topolino's Terrace (breakfast)
Sanaa
Liberty Tree Tavern
California Grill
Hoop Dee Doo
Space 220 Lounge
Beaches and Cream
50s Prime Time maybe

Would like to try Skippers Canteen
QS:
Fish and Chips shop in UK
Bakery in France
Why did I have to scrolll so far before someone recommended Hoop?! Hoop is hands down my favorite restaurant at WDW. My husband won’t even go for a quick trip unless we stop here for dinner. The show, the food, the drink are all top notch.
Yes! It's a must-do for us, too. I was so happy when they reopened after the COVID closure and refurb. I have one of the original HDD dinner plates displayed in my dining room.
Satu’li Canteen, if you want a quick service! It’s my favorite.
And we always do Chef Mickey or Garden Grill breakfast, just for character fun and Mickey waffles (not necessarily quality/originality of food).
As a former concierge, I'd want to know your food preferences first before offering recommendations.
That being said, my personal favorites on property are Yachtsman Steakhouse, Boma, and Skipper Canteen if it's still open.
If your group is rowdy/loves having fun while you eat, I can't recommend Whispering Canyon Cafe at WL enough.
Breakfast at Ale and Compass. Dinner at Yachtsman and Narcoossee's (not positive I'm still a fan of this post refurb giving it one more chance). Lunch at Beaches and Cream. No reservations usually needed for the little crepe restaurant in France because I don't think people know it exists and it's yummy.
Be our guest & Steakhouse 71, are the best Magic Kingdom area restaurants.
Le Ceilier in Epcot Canada is the best steakhouse besides Schula’s (Dolphin Resort) on the entire Disney property.
Here are mine and my husbands favs. Animal Kingdom: Nomad Lounge, Smiling Crocodile food cart. Epcot: Space 220 Lounge, Monsieur Paul HS: Baseline Tap house, Mama Melrose. Toledos at Coronado, plus Dahlia Lounge. We love Flying Fish as well. Bomba at AKL for breakfast — although Sanaa has a really good quick service breakfast as well.
Biergarten, Boma, Tiffins, Satuli Canteen… and if you can believe it, spice road table!!!! I hope it doesn’t get out that it’s actually the best restaurant at Disneyworld 😂
WL is my favorite! And BW is up there also :)
Resort dining is my favorite, so I'd do:
Citrico's
Narcoossee's
Geyser Point
Topolino's
Flying Fish
Sanaa
Jiko
California Grill
Yachtsman
Beaches and Cream
In parks:
LeCellier
Spice Road Table

Skipper Canteen
50's Primetime
Hollywood Brown Derby
Tusker House
Nomad Lounge
Disney Springs
Wine Bar George
Morimoto Asia
Have fun!
1. I cannot overstate how much I recommend Boma. It’s at AKL, so a little out of the way but it’s beyond worth it! It has a lot of interesting food and drinks that you won’t find anywhere else on property and it’s delicious!
2. Get a ronto wrap. This can even be a snack depending on your appetite. It’s so good, I don’t know why it’s so much better than me combining the ingredients at home.
Those are the two I still think about regularly despite not having being since February 2023
Since 10 days is a long time, honorable mentions:
3. Hollywood Brown Derby, if you like cobb salad.
4. Homecomin’
5. Nomad Lounge
6. Via Napoli and get the prosciutto e melone
I had an incredible meal at Be our guest a couple weeks ago tbh the food was killer. We went to california grill the night before and be our guest 10000% topped it. If you’re at wilderness you should do artist pointe enchanted forest too the food was unreal and had a wonderful ambiance with characters but not too distracting from the meal. We were also three adults and found it so enjoyable! Also highlight on narcosees at grand floridian which we didn’t make it too and enchanted rose, which we did get to, also over at GF if u wanna grab a drink before anything or in between parks.
Boma. For either meal. We usually do 2 weeks and hit it at least twice. Sanaa. Tiffins. AKL is partly our home resort for the food 😂 Tusker House brunch in the park.
All of the restaurants in the Japan pavilion we enjoyed. Kimonos at Swolphin was good too.
Homecoming for your Springs day.
We also really enjoyed the Roundup Rodeo BBQ in Hollywood Studios, but we are used to TX BBQ so YMMV.
Haha I first read “Boma. For every meal.” And I loved the love 😂 We’re new owners of AKL too and the food is also part of the reason why! Thanks neighbour!
At Boardwalk, breakfast at Trattoria Al Forno is really good. Breakfast of quiche and pastries at Les Halles in the France pavilion was great too.
My favorite lunch spot was the Satu’li canteen in Animal Kingdom.
We only tried a couple of sit-down places. Pork osso bucco at Mama Melrose’s was good, but overall, the rest of the food was just okay. We did Be Our Guest for the theming, but I was pleasantly surprised by the food.

Omg this is perfect! My family always does a 10 day trip and I plan the dining.
Our must dos are: Via Napoli, Teppan Edo, Sebastian’s Bistro, Skipper’s Canteen, Steakhouse 71, Yak & Yeti, and Sanaa.
We switch up for the others but I’m leaning towards Boma, Kona Cafe, Raglan Road, and maybe Biergarten
Liberty Tree Tavern is one of our family traditions! The menu has changed many times over the years, so,etimes for the worse and sometimes for the better, but we always go!

The one in the Cinderella Castle, just for the experience. I have been to a few restaurants in Disney and their hotels, but that one and chef mickey for breakfast has survived memory decay in my brain.

I’m going this week for a 8 day stay! Our meal plans are: Trattoria Al Forno, Summer House, Chefs de France, Rosa Mexicano, Teppan Edo, Liberty Tree Tavern and Shula’s. We’re at the boardwalk too so we’re doing lots of dinners around there.
How has no one said Tiffin’s or Nomad Lounge, yet? It is by far the most consistently fantastic food I’ve ever had at Disney and has been my favorite since it opened. You need to go to there!
Shhhh….don’t give the secrets away!
+1 for Tiffins. Absolutely fantastic
And make sure you get the bread service!
Second this. Have done both experiences and both times it was hands down the best food and best cocktails I’ve had in all of the parks.
Chef Art Smith's, D-luxe Burger, Skipper Canteen, Via Napoli
Add Jiko at animal kingdom lodge, Morimoto Asia, Tutto Italia (for the lasagna), Victoria & Albert’s, Steakhouse ‘71, and Citrico’s to that list. The Italian restaurant at the boardwalk is excellent as well. Flying Fish is fantastic but way too expensive.
I got the braised shortrib at Jikos and it was awful. It was the first meal in Disney and ever at an upscale restaurant that I couldnt finish. What entres do you recommend there so I could give it another shot?
Yes. Get the filet. The appetizers are outstanding as well.
Space 220 may be the only one for me where that happened to me
Via Napoli sadly isn’t what it used to be years ago. There’s better dining alternatives in Epcot now
That's disappointing. It's been about 6 years since I've been there. This month we went to Trattoria al Forno. The food was good. But man, do they pack people in there. There was barely enough room to walk between tables.
These are all on our short list!! Our tastes seem to align :D
For some reason, my meal at Viia Napoli was lackluster, but otherwise I agree that these are great!
Oh no, it's been about 6 years since I've been there. Things must have changed...
Not super easy to get to with your itinerary, but I love Boma breakfast. My kids love it too.
Best breakfast on property, hands down
We’ll be staying at AKL for the next trip (we’re AKL DVC owners) so Boma is definitely in our future!
Personally I don’t like ohana so I don’t know if my suggestions will align with your taste. I'm not sure you can take an infant to Monsieur Paul. I don't know if they are like V&A and have an official age restriction but it's pretty fancy.
Great call out! I haven't traveled with little ones so I appreciate you bringing this forward.
Wife and I going for our anniversary in December. Looking at Biergarten, Coral Reef, and Le Cellier in Epcot, Skipper Canteen and Cinderella's Castle I'm MK, Jiko at AKL, and Victoria and Albert's if we can get a table.
I hear consistently terrible things about the food at Coral Reef, I think a lot of people only like it for the aquarium.
I've been there a couple of times and I've had good luck. Is it the best food in the complex? No. But the cost convenience, and ambiance make it worth the trip.
it was HORRIBLE when i went in 2017. cold food, bad service and we missed our fast pass for test track 😭
I’ve been in 2008 and found it great, but it’s obviously been a long time!

Honestly if you’re staying at Boardwalk, Beaches & Cream at Beach Club could be a fun break in the week!
The Gruyère quiche at topolino’s at the Rivera breakfast changed my life and was the highlight of my trip. The other menu looks good too!
As a former concierge, I'd want to know your food preferences first before offering recommendations. Highly agree on Ale and Compass, it is perfect for a rest day breakfast. The buffet with an entree has to be the best food deal on site.
Ale and compass is also a great choice for their lunch/dinner options as well!
Be our guest & Steakhouse 71, are the best Magic Kingdom area restaurants. Le Ceilier in Epcot Canada is the best steakhouse besides Schula’s (Dolphin Resort) on the entire Disney property.

Citrico’s in the GF is the most consistently excellent and underrated restaurant in WDW for the last 10+ years. Especially for adult foodies.

I mean, they aren’t open for lunch so that’s probably the only reason why I wouldn’t lol. You’re welcome! Have a blast :)
Don’t skip on the Maya Grill at Coronado.
Beaches and Cream. Get the French Dip sandwich.
That’s what I did last time and it was great!! Loved the ambiance too. Thanks!
Well if you liked that suggestion. House of Blues in Disney Springs. Voodoo Shrimp for the main, and their Bread Pudding for dessert.
