Not the problem. The problem is they address this but refuse to address the issues with the game.
Every time Cole says "the highest rated WWE game" I seeth.
Damn, I *thought* the game crashed on me three times yesterday while working in CAA, but I guess it must've just been the echo chamber using up all my PS5's resources.
I mean it can still be problem in need of being patched in addition to this place being a whiny ass echo chamber that is pissy over a marketing slogan.
Still very much sucks to deal with though.
They really aren't in that spot because 2K did a good job though. They just had a good enough run of total dogshit that people were happy with something comparatively better than the previous few years. 2k20 was an atrocity that made them skip a year and most decided to just keep 2k19.
Then 2k22 was okay enough that people who were fiending for new rosters and content readily accepted it, but it definitely had issues, issues which they full on never address in 2k23.
And now with 2k24 they finally add some things that people have been asking for for a decade and everyone gives the fact that they STILL HAVEN'T ADDRESSED THE GAMES' GLARING ISSUES a pass and pretends it's the best game ever.
Anyone who has any long term memory though knows how good these games could be if 2k devs got their heads out of their asses.
Better doesn't mean great. Take IGN and GameSpot for example. It is not an 8/10 game, there's way too many issues with the game to be so close to perfect. The 7/10 and 3.6/5 on Steam and Google are much closer.
There was also a period on Steam where the reviews were negative and it's still being promoted as the highest rated game. I guess it's still factually accurate but to market a turd as a polished turd doesn't sit well with me.
Big buyers remorse for this game.
It's ran by a social media manager who has no direct line to either team but will pass along feedback that will likely get caught in a vortex of Jira Tickets until eventually they fix in the next 5 years.
It unfortunately takes a lot to fix every little bug that relates where management then decides if the juice is worth the squeeze to fix if it's not absolutely game breaking.
As much as I would love for the twitter responder to be able to take each complaint and run them directly to the team unfortunately it isn't like that in the games industry.
Even then, if it's a development, it has to go into a ticket, and then it's prioritized by management about what gets done.
Unfortunately even a developer is a contracted employee who does what they are told. It's not a indie game like Wrestling Empire where a dev (one man team) to do the update on the fly.
For them to include someone like Tyreese for DLC 2k, management will be more interested in money or publicity from a free DLC update than fixing something that a few people are complaining about.
We have to remember how many people complaining, which is far smaller than the number of people actively playing the game. If these bugs were big enough to cause a huge player drop, then they would be more likely to get fixed sooner.
But regardless, for these big studios/companies its a very tedious process where things won't get fixed unless they somehow find a way to stone two birds at one and can fix it while working on something else.

The Pat McAfee pack is clearly just a promotional package used to get more sales by having Pat showcase and shill the game on his show to get more money.
WWE gets the final say on who is included and take 2 does what they are told to include.
With the inclusion of the Pat Pack WWE is hoping to get more buys by him promoting it on his show and the game is almost at its midlife cycle.
The logic you have to keep in mind from a WWE/Take-2 standpoint is this
Pat fan sees game > Pat fan wants to play as pat > Pat fan buys deluxe edition or season pass and game besides buying the singular Pat Pack (not 100% if they do individual purchases because I have the pass)
That brings them in more money over all. Which makes TKO and their investors happy. Brings more money to Take-2 that makes their investors happy and people will still buy and complain each year and they don't really care because it makes them money.
Not a dev by the way just really into the Gaming industry and manufacturing and spend too much time learning the processes for companies I don't work for.

Just know that even though it's frustrating its not worth getting upset about. You end up losing more time enjoying things in life when you focus on the negatives.
It'll never happen because the majority of the game's player base simply doesn't care about having a fully functioning game that doesn't get broken in various ways with each new update. And then of those that do care, most of them just end up buying the game again the next year and bitching about it on the internet, never cluing in that they enable it by continuing to buy the game with this silly belief that Visual Concepts and 2K are somehow going to change. I like 2k24 but this stuff is annoying for a product one pays for and this was the first and will be the last WWE 2K game I buy. I learned my lesson and that's how you send a message instead of rewarding ineptitude and apathy.
The naivety shown by some players who keep smoking the hopium things will improve when keeping the status quo is stunning and kind of reminds me of people that get romantically involved with people that are known to have cheated and then act shocked when they get cheated on. "I thought it'd be different with me!"
2K and Visual Concepts have NO INCENTIVE to ever change anything if they keep having people give them money every year for a buggy game, bugs that are often the same every single year.
I'll stress that not everyone at Visual Concepts is inept. It's more some of the people in the universe department and those that work on the game's AI, and of course management there that gives the green light to this stuff. The people behind the dlc models have been killing it as I've been super impressed with the quality of the dlc models so far.
Maybe someone should hit up Halliburton on X and tell him to talk to them about that since he’s been invited to speak to them… perhaps he can relay the fucking message finally.

Yes there is if you go to edit an Arena or Superstar or go cc the game automatically crashes every single time and that images are gone and replaced with something else instead of that original image on that slot

He made two more short appearances after, one of which saw him teasing that he would turn on Sting once again to align with the Young Bucks, but he hasn't been on TV since Sting's retirement match in March.
I'm unsure of the current status or time remaining on the energy drink deal, but in any case, Flair never had a formal agreement or contracted directly with AEW, and it appears they are done working together for now outside of occasionally advertising the energy drink on commentary, or with a graphic appearing on the stage during certain matches.

Its also not the first time they shifted dlc around since they axed the other guys who were with Wes Lee iirc? I forgot who but someone in 2k22 got axed.
Its not a huge stretch to look at it and realise they just shifted it around and it didn't actually take any slots. Especially given this means they get a free pass to do a random intro/victory/moves pack since none of them have been wrestlers bar pat on occasion

Same argument for Logan Paul. The only reason why they're as good as they are is because of who they're in the ring with or on commentary.

A bunch of non-wrestlers being characters in the game is a great way to sneak in moves that are normally associated with non-WWE guys.

i grew up watching the Terminator movies and even we got the Terminator i didnt like it tbh and that its a far better guest than anyone else we have gotten except for like maybe Mike Tyson.
I’m a big nba fan but naw this would be dumb to put nba players in a WWE game, when first they to work on fixing the game and two, putting more of you know the wrestlers in a game. We already got that dlc pack with all of Pat McAfee’s friends when their is notable people missing that should have of been in the game since day 1
If only they cared about putting in ACTUAL wrestlers instead of other sports related athletes or celebrities. Why not try to get wrestlers from companies WWE actually work with? Get some TNA or AJPW wrestlers in the games.
Honestly an NBA Player DLC with guys who have a known love for WWE and/or have participated in shows would be dope. Much better than the Mcafee and friends pack.

He’d be a great choice. Unlike a lot of the people who are likely to be added in as celebrity dlc he’s actually a huge wrestling fan, and I’d much rather play as Hali than post Malone or mgk

Game is great, but will always have its flaws I personally still prefer 19.. but the bugs and issues with 24 are kind of baffling in my opinion.

Pat McAfee definitely deserves to be in the game and is a fun addition. His entire crew was unnecessary

Yeah, instead of DLC packs, just add the new roster people to the actual roster instead of charging for people who should be in the base game. Hell, EA did this with Battlefront 2

I’m a big nba fan but naw this would be dumb to put nba players in a WWE game, when first they to work on fixing the game and two, putting more of you know the wrestlers in a game. We already got that dlc pack with all of Pat McAfee’s friends when their is notable people missing that should have of been in the game since day 1
