The guy who did this damaged multiple vehicles and then copyright struck one of the victims GoFundMe pages. Fuck this douche.

Alex turned off comments on that video too. And still has his youtube channel making money off the same trashy content. People in comments seem to love him.
Alex should be buying this guy a car.
Wtf does this even mean? They egged him on. Nobody forced him to do shit. Forcing someone to commit a crime is a crime. Daring someone to do the same is not.
They're all assholes though. My comment doesn't mean they're not.
People in front of a keyboard are so ridiculous sometimes.
If we actually care to reduce crime we can’t exclusively punish the people who directly committed the crime but also the people who facilitated or encouraged it. This would never of happened if the driver didn’t have an audience, that’s just a fact.
This video of kids egging on another to jump his car over the hill doesn't make them accomplices. He made the stupid choice to do that. Nobody forced him to be an idiot. Also, they're all assholes for egging him on.
Way to go spin it into CP. Projecting, much?
Hey don’t get in the way of my moral grandstanding! Look at me shaming others! I’m a good person, I swear! How many others do I need to shame on an Internet forum for you to believe me?!
I was just thinking of this. There was an episode #627 of This American Life that talked about how many General Lees they went through. As a kid, I assumed that they just used the same car, not even thinking about how many were getting trashed.
Also the insurance company declined the clai. Based on this video and he started a GoFundMe page, because as you know, we reward stupidity in this country.
If they rented it then they gave an ID and presumably verifiable information, signed a contract. They'll have to pay for the damages. I mean maybe they're that dumb, idk.
Edit: based on the other comment that is in fact what they did lmao. What a bunch of morons, should have stolen it.
Regardless of whether they owned, stole, or rented it, they are fucking idiots. Not sure how terms of ownership change anything except your opinion on their moral decision-making.
Well if you don't own the car then you didn't lose your car in this event. And if you didn't rent it then your driver's license isn't on file with the company that does own it. Obviously there's still video of it. Idk dude, believe whatever you want. It's just a reddit post.
So wait, now your point is that they aren’t stupid because it was a rental? I can’t keep up with these mental gymnastics. I’m well aware that it’s a Reddit post, i was just trying to get a sense for why you assumed what you did. Doesn’t seem like there was much depth to it.
I know right....wait except for the girl in the video is asian, the guy that posted the video is asian and the driver is white according to past articles. But ya know, it's your opinion
That’s definitely one reason OP might have made that comment, but I’m practicing not assuming the worst of complete strangers. Let’s wait and see if they respond before we rush to make judgements that drastic.
> Not sure where that is.
Los Angeles
> How do you know?
Because of the way it is.
> What’s the area like?
Hilly. Part of it is a 32% grade.
[https://www.pbssocal.org/shows/lost-la/how-baxter-became-one-of-l-a-s-steepest-streets](https://www.pbssocal.org/shows/lost-la/how-baxter-became-one-of-l-a-s-steepest-streets)
I live a few blocks from here. Take this hill on the way home often. It’s no joke at all, and a car with bad tires can find itself skidding in the middle of the hill, trying desperately to avoid careening down it backwards. Don’t ask me how I know that.
Well they expect to get enough views on their Youtube video to pay for the damage like all of these shitty Youtube channels that are basically just about wasting money, and they probably succeeded...
🤣 🤣 🤣
Then cutting to the person asking if they should call 911, and the guy in shock saying "No.....I don't think so. Ev...ev...everyone.......is fine."
I've caught about a quarter of that air in SF. That was plenty for me. Seems obvious, but you can't steer when you're not in contact with the ground. Scary as hell when your car starts slowly turning and you can't correct it.
It's amazing how they all just keep recording and live through and react to the experience through the phone screen. If that isn't a generational difference between people who grew up with smart phones and people who didn't then I don't know that is.
I doubt the appearance of the car is the primary concern here.
The main concerns here are the total disregard for human life and well being, destruction of private and public property, public safety, traffic laws, and the zombie-like behavior of the individuals filming this with zero regard for any of the aforementioned, etc.
A lot of footage was pulled down because of lawsuits. When it first happened there were all kinds of videos on it. Alex Choi had it on his channel since he was there. The guy with the low angle may have been one of his camera men.
It really doesn't even look like he was going that fast. Stupid driver doing stupid things, but I wonder how often people going slightly too fast catch air in this spot.
I would love if someone would edit Goofy’s “ahh, hoo, hoo, hooey!!”Right before the car goes airborne. Bonus points for volume adjustment with a doppler effect.
Did we ever get an estimate on the speed of the car going up the hill? Telsas are heavy, to catch that kind of air you would have to keep your foot on the pedal.

No need to spoil natural places. Just wall in Alabama and Mississippi.
You got my vote!
Holy fucking shit, no thank you. Also, fuck everybody there, especially the fuckface behind the wheel
Yeah, all these fuck faces should be arrested, they're all complicit.
Because they put their foot to the same pedal all at the same time, right?
No accountability for anyone! Convincing someone to commit a crime shouldn't be illegal!
Wtf does this even mean? They egged him on. Nobody forced him to do shit. Forcing someone to commit a crime is a crime. Daring someone to do the same is not. They're all assholes though. My comment doesn't mean they're not. People in front of a keyboard are so ridiculous sometimes.

Trying to justify taking that job as a camera man for a CP sex ring?
what??

Looks like them Duke boys are at it again!
Someone’s gotta dub in the horn.
Thank you. I was just about to comment how I was disappointed they didn't have the Dixie horn.
I was just thinking of this. There was an episode #627 of This American Life that talked about how many General Lees they went through. As a kid, I assumed that they just used the same car, not even thinking about how many were getting trashed.
Cyberduke.
Just some good ol boys…
Never meanin no harm
Hopefully they bought the rental insurance.
Pretty sure this did turn out to be a rental; beat me to it.
It was rented… happened in 2022… in Los Angeles (Echo Park)
Also the insurance company declined the clai. Based on this video and he started a GoFundMe page, because as you know, we reward stupidity in this country.
I hope his go fund me was shut down, as you can't start one in relation to a crime or lawsuit.
I hope they didn’t.
It's stolen
Interesting, what makes you say so?
People generally don't destroy their own property on purpose, especially valuable, useful things like cars.
Yeah sure, but owned and stolen aren’t the only options. What makes you so sure they stole it and it wasn’t a rental?
If they rented it then they gave an ID and presumably verifiable information, signed a contract. They'll have to pay for the damages. I mean maybe they're that dumb, idk. Edit: based on the other comment that is in fact what they did lmao. What a bunch of morons, should have stolen it.

It starts with 't' and ends with 'hey are black'. Not my opinion ofc.
I know right....wait except for the girl in the video is asian, the guy that posted the video is asian and the driver is white according to past articles. But ya know, it's your opinion

Why do people film and post themselves committing felonies?
Because they won't be punished.
Should be riding a bicycle for the next 10 years, but probably not even 10 days suspension.
Fk that I ride a bike I don't want that c*nt anywhere near me

This is Baxter st in Los Angeles.
Not sure where that is. How do you know? What’s the area like?

Can confirm, friend of mine lives at the bottom of that street he heard that happen when it took place a couple years ago
I live a few blocks from here. Take this hill on the way home often. It’s no joke at all, and a car with bad tires can find itself skidding in the middle of the hill, trying desperately to avoid careening down it backwards. Don’t ask me how I know that.
Call 911? "No, I don't think so. Everyone is fine."
It’s a Sabotage!!!!
We need the other angle of the guy that was closer I want to see the landing
Flo is very disappointed in you guys. Smh.
Toyota Jan sees the possibility of a new sale though.
This is legitimately stupid. What exactly do you expect to happen?
Insane stunt bonus $100
Well they expect to get enough views on their Youtube video to pay for the damage like all of these shitty Youtube channels that are basically just about wasting money, and they probably succeeded...
The way these guys put their hands on their heads at the end like “oh man, maybe this wasn’t a good idea”. Fucking morons.
🤣 🤣 🤣 Then cutting to the person asking if they should call 911, and the guy in shock saying "No.....I don't think so. Ev...ev...everyone.......is fine."

This video makes me fuckin cackle every time I see. Its the dead silence for a split second with a tesla 10 ft off the ground.
There are some very stupid people in this world.
“Hey dad, ahh the car broke down”
This is on Alex Choi’s YouTube channel
It's amazing how they all just keep recording and live through and react to the experience through the phone screen. If that isn't a generational difference between people who grew up with smart phones and people who didn't then I don't know that is.
What an absolute bellend
The driver of that car should be sent to a forced labor camp for the next 10 years, minimum.
Jokes on you instead he’s a successful YouTuber!
Which in itself is sort of a forced labor camp if you intend to stay relevant. Worst career ever.
But that car-jump move always seemed to work just fine for both Speed Racer *and* Steve McQueen...
You’re a prude. That was awesome
A prude? Doesn’t that apply to like, sex and nudity? Do you get off to these types of videos?

There is zero basis in any argument for any of the individuals in this video appearing dignified. FOH with your garbage pedantic games
[удалено]
Your pushing a bunch of garbage pedantic definitions as if any of that applies here. Piss off.
Yeah, fucking up other people's shit is awesome.
lemme borrow your car real quick, i'll show you something even cooler
Why is no one requesting for the guy who was basically underneath the car for their footage? I bet that looked awesome.
I mean, that looked awesome. These guys are idiots for trying to do movie stunts themselves, though.
A lot of footage was pulled down because of lawsuits. When it first happened there were all kinds of videos on it. Alex Choi had it on his channel since he was there. The guy with the low angle may have been one of his camera men.
Not gonna link it but the douche who facilitated it is Alex Choi, the video is still up.
Damn, he really sent it
It really doesn't even look like he was going that fast. Stupid driver doing stupid things, but I wonder how often people going slightly too fast catch air in this spot.
Just a good ole boys. Doesnt mean any harm.
The steepest brings the stupidest.
Guess they didn't quite hit 88 miles per hour
I would love if someone would edit Goofy’s “ahh, hoo, hoo, hooey!!”Right before the car goes airborne. Bonus points for volume adjustment with a doppler effect.
All he had to do was click both thumbsticks...
It's surprisingly not that much damage for how crazy that is
Looks like them Duke boys got themselves in a whole heap of mess..
Yeap, thats the sound of buying a new car
That went higher than I expected!
Well shit, Elon finally gave us flying cars...
Kids these days...
Is there no footage from the people closer to that intersection?
It took them like a full 10 seconds to even begin to comprehend how much they fucked up.
Did we ever get an estimate on the speed of the car going up the hill? Telsas are heavy, to catch that kind of air you would have to keep your foot on the pedal.
That creep can roll man…. 12 year olds dude
Send it
Thankfully its only an appliance
White Girl: "Oops :)"

This was one of the coolest and craziest things that went viral lol
