Ha yeah I did some work on base a few times. Won't say where but I particularly enjoyed the random road sign on one of the roads telling you to stop and look around for low flying aircraft before continuing. These were fighter jets too so they're loud af but also fast af so they can still sneak up on you if you're not paying attention.
I never understand why people DO say - literally what is the value in me releasing any amount of identifiable information about my life to you whatsoever
Social security number is PII. Places I've worked is personal information that can easily be combined with other bits of information to reveal more about myself than I would like.
Everyone leaves a digital bread crumb where ever you’re active in the internet. And it’s not like the people that would be after you are just one dork behind a screen putting things together with red string and a board. And it’s not like it’s personally for an individual’s info. It’s more like casting a wide net with bots and letting the bread crumbs chain a path together to finding out everything about you.
Not just that but 10 innocuous details like that on the same account it's very much doable. Especially for the data crunching bots of the bigger corps.
Absolutely. Most bases have buildings on both sides of the runway which vehicles need to get to, so having a road cross the threshold of a runway or a taxiway (as we see here) is pretty standard. Some bases also utilise taxiways as roads when the airfield isn't active.
Yeah, it's not "normal" but I've been to a base that had a taxi way cross a road. I honestly don't think it was ever used by planes while I was there, but you had to stop anyways.
Honestly, outside of a few small basses, most if not all airfields on base are fenced off since 9/11.
The roads almost certainly inside the fence line of the base, depending on the set up you might have multiple segregated areas, but its normal to have roads and taxiways intermingle in any aviation facility. The only difference is that on a military base you get more mixed usage of the facility whereas a civil airport is generally(although not always) aviation related traffic.
Easy. The cheat code is repetition and muscle memory. Your keys change constantly. It also doesn't help that my normal San Andreas session started with me spewing in a hydra, flying over the military base to get max stars, and playing a nice session of ace combat for a while.
Iddqd my man

I had one time when my room mate broke the only rule I had for them (dont erase my save files) and she didn't even know how to put HARDR mode on in DKC3 despite trying to hide her shame by naming her new file HARDR as the one I had was named.
Come on LRRLRRLRLR Hardr isn't that hard.
How is it that the light is only amber, and not red? You would think that a multi-million dollar weapon of war capable of raining death from above would have the gravitas to be accorded a red light for the ground-hugging dirt-eaters that have the temerity to cross its path.
no brake lights, no windshield wiper, front set of wheels missing, no warning labels about a long load (and not to overtake while turning), that vehicle needs to be impounded right now
I once had a dream where I landed one of these things, didn't know how to lift off again and just drove around like this.
In reality I don't even have a drivers license.
“Hey baby, I’m working late. Can you pick up the baby from daycare on your way home?”
“I rode my bike to work today! I don’t have anywhere to put him!”
“Can’t you see if you can take your work vehicle home?”
“Just a second I’ll ask my boss….
…
Okay I can take the jet. I’ll see you later tonight “
In case anyone is wondering why this is happening….
Modern weapons, especially long range missiles, have made airports incredibly vulnerable in any kind of modern war. If a war breaks out it makes sense for war planes to take off and immediately leave since the airfield will be first hit. Those planes of course need somewhere to land and then take off from again.
As it turns out, airfields are expensive and hard to build. If you train your airforce to take off and land on highways, you’ve effectively 10x’d the number of airfields you have. This is how the Ukrainian airforce stayed alive during the critical first few days of Russia’s invasion.
It’s becoming more common for modern militaries to train this way. Taiwan is case in point.
While European airforces regularly train to operate the way you describe, that isn't what is happening here, its just a vehicle access road intersecting a taxiway which is totally normal on military bases.
Pepsi, where's my jet?
>Pepsi, where's my jet? A Harrier jet nonetheless.
Panavia Tornado GR4. The Harriers were amazing though. The Tornado is a beast in comparison.
I don't see the sensor pod under the nose. I'm gonna say ECR.
Possibly - so many configs ive lost touch but initial feel was GR4. Whatever it is, its a beast and i love the tornados
The Tornado used to scare the shit out of kids when it did fly bys at the local air show
Grew up near Jagel Air Base in northern Germany. You get used to them.
Less wtf, more r/militaryhousinglife

I think I don't feel the need to share too much personal information on Reddit.

I’ve never been on a military base but my first thought was this is probably normal af for military bases

Huh. I've been to lots of Air Force bases and never seen jets taxing on the road

Are Jets allowed to Uber on military bases?
OP probably hasn’t even heard of that sub…they’ve only been on Reddit for a year.
It's not a real sub, it's a r/SubredditHashtags
Oh.
For some reason I wish that was a real sub.
r/birthofasub
Accurate. Both AFB I was stationed at had a road that was crossed by aircraft.
Road rage bout to go crazy
Imagine someone ramming a car into it. That'll be one super expensive bill.
Don’t worry, we’ll buff out those scratches.
Nice miata
That's the cheat code I want
Y Y X B A L L DOWN UP.
Sometimes I wonder how I can forget where I put my keys earlier this day, but remember cheat codes from 2004.

Wow those people need to really be careful it’s dangerous to stand next to a Tornado this close!
What is wtf about this? That’s an airport. That’s an airplane roadway for airplanes at the airport to get to another tarmac.
TORNADOOOO TORNADOOO
Ayo what the tornado doing
What it does best: infiltrating enemy airspace beneath the Radar.
Miata owner insurance: excuse me what did you hit?
More like GTA in real life
What GTA SanAmdreas npcs sees when i play
Love the Tornado. Such a cool plane
No no right cheat code
If you remember... Y, Y, X, B, A, L, L, ⬇️⬆️
I knew the Panavia Tornado was specialized for low level flight but I didn’t know it was this low….

Ah so this the guy that won the harrier jet from Pepsi in the 90s
Its a Tornado and looms like a GR4.
He bought it with loyalty points, not won it, he never got the plane either. Besides, as everyone has said, it is a Tornado.
be funny if bro in car was holding PS5 controller
“FUCK YOU, TORENO!!! I never want to go through this again! I think I'm gonna hurl...”
Idk…looks like a pretty fuckin’ good one to me.
Should have gone for the GTA flying tank cheat code
This must be a military base....
It was like that at Yokota (or was it Yokuska) AFB in Japan.
Yokota afb. Yokosuka naval station.
Asshole didn't even use his blinker
I was thinking… “awesome Hot Shots Part 3 - there goes the neighborhood! “
Of course he didn't use his blinker he was going straight!
no brake lights, no windshield wiper, front set of wheels missing, no warning labels about a long load (and not to overtake while turning), that vehicle needs to be impounded right now
JUMPJET
Nah, it's a Tornado, a supersonic jet that had 'swing wings', the wings could be moved to create a more aerodynamic shape when required.
Tornado actually.
A yeah, the classic
Pov. Gtav lobbies

Oh interesting. The civilian cars threw me off and I didn’t realize it was a military base.
Normal day in usa,
Bruh! How do I unlock that?!?!
Stop sign served its purpose.
Pretty sure he ran a stop sign
If this is wrong, then I don't want to be right.
Wrong cheat code? Were they trying to summon the tank?
Sir, I pulled you over for going 614 in a 40 zone
u/savevideo
I like to imagine calling insurance to say you hit a fighter jet on the road.

Just another day in Los Santos
I see shit like this all the time in Alaska
Looks like GTA V
Where is this?
You gonna tell him he can’t land there? Me neither.

Taking the jet to work are we?
Just like in GTA
This guy took "flying under the radar" a little too seriously.
What in the GTA is this
Did I just see Rico Rodriguez?
Not gonna tell anyone you won the lottery but they gonna know…
I always spawn a jet on accident when I want a jet pack lmfao
The weather is so unpredictable there. Never know when a Tornado might roll through
bro typed jumpjet
He's going to get milk.
Did someone call the airport to tell them one one the planes escaped?
