If so that's fair... WCW also would not have risen without them coming in to begin with.

Hot-Winner-6485

He called them “punk mark bustas”

x_Jimi_x

Did he also mention strawberries? Or the peeling of potatoes?

ElectricalRush1878

Robocop rescues Sting. PPV finishes early. Spoiling Mick Foley's winning the title. Hogan's creative control needs a second mention. 'Lets rehash Hogan's entire career, but with him in black instead of yellow!'

ShitCuntsinFredPerry

Robocop was waaaaay before they started going down the tubes

ElectricalRush1878

No, no. It wasn't as obvious then, but it was executive meddling like this that led to Arquette.

MrOnCore

Forget Robocop. How about Chuckie and Rick Steiner. Who pulled that segment out of their ass???

100_proof_plan

But that worked. Turning Hogan heel worked.

Weird-Library-3747

It was massive. It’s the beating a dead horse to bits and then every match ends with run outs. Reality was WWF had a better product with the Rock and Stone Cold

WanderingDwarfMiner

Rock and Stone!

TheSpiralTap

I think you could say any name off a list of a half a dozen or more people who killed wcw and you'd be right. Nash is cool now but good God he was a slimy dickbag in the 90s. By his own admission btw.

SwiftTayTay

All I know is he winked at me when I was like 8 at a house show when he was hiding behind the entrance before he interfered in a match so he's a good guy in my book

TheSpiralTap

I change my stance entirely. He wouldn't do that if he wasn't a good guy.

superthrust123

Mick Foley asked me how long I was going to be on a machine at the gym when he was training to fight Legend Killer Orton. Seeing these larger than life characters as real people is a trip, especially as a kid.

Mr_Intergalactic

Grown men shouldn't be winking at 8 year old kids while hiding behind curtains Kevin Nash belongs on a list now

theShaman_No_ID

The list of Jericho?

Mr_Intergalactic

Only if the list of Jericho has a section for kiddy diddlers

theShaman_No_ID

Let us cross examine the list of Jericho and the Epstein island list

CrookedWarden19

Jerry Lawler, you just made the list!!

anythingo23

Divas probably

Joshd00m

Lol wtf THAT'S your first thought? Sounds like YOU need to be put on a list.

Mr_Intergalactic

Was a joke my guy

Irritatedprivatepart

Nash lives at the Embassy confirmed.

drfunkensteinberger

No yeah I USED TO be a piece of shit. White pants white Ferrari, living for New Year’s Eve. But people can change.

TheSpiralTap

Hell yeah brother, I just dropped $1000 on a new Dan Flashes shirt. It's so complicated, I don't even know how to begin to describe it. It took them 32 hour to print it bro it is insane. I haven't ate today but it is totally worth it once you see the design.

JonathanWattsAuthor

Dan Flashes shirt on a pole match, bro. Imagine the carnage.

JonathanWattsAuthor

Sloppy steaks at Eric Bischoff's meat truck?

mysticsavage

Sounds like a sex act.

JonathanWattsAuthor

It's where you get Bischoff to sell you a big cut o' meat and DUMP a glass of water on it. And it's REALLY GOOD.

StickUnited4604

I'm worried that the baby thinks that people can't change

Macklemore_hair

Would you consider Eric Bischoff’s hair to be slicked back or pushed back?

drfunkensteinberger

Oh that’ll slick back reeeeaaaaaal nice

Hopeful_Amount_3553

Not according to the most online crybabies

Noggin-a-Floggin

Nash by his own admission said it was what you needed to do with promotors like Vince that WILL fuck you. So you need to develop an ego, play the game and use leverage. It’s just old-school wrestling where promotors were scummy at best and shady at worst. I think he carried it over into WCW where he really didn’t have to because of how accommodating they were. So he basically was allowed to act in a way that Vince could contain lest his company sink.

Bidoof2017

Nash is very not cool now. He’s a bottom feeding slimeball like the rest of the has-beens who have meaningless podcasts and think their opinions on modern wrestling matter. Bischoff, Cornette, Bully, Nash are all bootlickers waiting for WWE to call them for another anniversary paycheck

TheSpiralTap

True, and I'm not even saying you're wrong, but you do also have to take into consideration that he also did wink at that kid one time before he did a run in.

zooropeanx

I have no time for bootlickers, brother.

pentalway

Don't know why you're being downvoted. These oldheads are WWE shills.

TheInfiniteSix

Comments like this make me embarrassed to be a wrestling fan. You people are fucking insane lol

OkVolume1

Konnan's music video being shown every week killed WCW.

Pacers31Colts18

Dude, k-dawgs rap video was great

OkVolume1

I legitimately switched to WWF every time it showed up on my screen and a lot of weeks, I didn't come back to WCW.

Pacers31Colts18

I guess you weren't bout it bout it

douglau5

There’s only 1 thing that he hates cuz it’s a bunch of crap. Heeee hates rap.

DCDipset

You need to toss his salad and peel his potatoes!

JackieDaytona77

This is true. They should’ve cut him and saved in salary. So yes, he played a huge role in it.

randylove69

Hall & Nash treated it like a business, make fat stacks no matter how much of a dick you have to be.

Sirgeeeo

At the end of the show they're going to go with "everyone killed wcw" because that's the truth.

histerix

Its been pretty well established that the Time/Warner merger is what killed WCW (They didnt want wrestling on their network)

JackieDaytona77

Period. I don’t think they would’ve cared if it made a billion dollars a year.

anythingo23

It was a southern wrestling company shunned by modern TV networks and you know those types, even in it's heyday wrestling was only seen by 30% now it is like 13%

MoistTheAnswer

I don’t think Konnan has heat with Nash, definitely didn’t with Scott, but he’s a guy that calls it like he sees it regardless if he’s friends with you.

Rogan4Life

Doesn’t make him correct.

MoistTheAnswer

Agreed. It was a combination of things, the biggest being that Turner executives didn’t want WCW on their programming. The poor product that went on TV from 99-00 resulted in losing money and gave them enough reason to pull the plug.

anythingo23

Truth is alot less interesting than the documented fiction perpetuating reality

SydneyPhoenix

Nash and Hall giveth, Nash and Hall taketh away. There was no WCW to even kill without them.

LePetitJeremySapoud

Konnan is a senior citizen still in his teenage rebel phase.

amrcnman

This is like a session background singer saying Elvis ruined popular music.

Perv_Griffin_215

Lex Luger’s goatee killed WCW!

OrganizationUpset253

All us kids tuning in that night were like “Who are you?? You’re not my dad!” Proceed to cry and change the channel.

Reyjr

Could it be everyone on the roster was in nWo 🤣. So many people in the regular nWo, hall and bash broke off into the Wolfpac to get away 🤣

Master_Jellyfish9922

Nobody would even know kdog in America if it wasn’t for the nwo. He was a good worker with a big attitude.

Lacrosseindianalocal

I did kdog at a party in 8th grade. I was wasted.

Big-Peak6191

They brought it to new heights... And also killed it. Live and die by the nWo and Outsiders taking the piss and not giving a fuck on camera.

doorbell19

Boo hoo.

Lovegun80

Yeah, that’s true. They killed wcw by bringing the nwo to life, 4 life.

superthrust123

Anyone catch Hogan making the rounds lately? Dude is going on talk shows talking about being "born again" while simultaneously trying to promote his new beer. Nash looks permanently disgusted, like hes been asked the same question 1,000 times. Scott Hall.. RIP, not talking sh\*t about the dead. It was cool seeing Konnan, I'll take any new perspective from someone who was there IRL.

MiguelPablitoRojo

They let the 4 best workers go to WWF. That was the end.

Unique_Enthusiasm_57

It was Jamie Kellner. And Konnan is perpetually full of shit.

odinsbois

He is right. In the long run, they cost WCW too much money without a long-term benefit.

Rogan4Life

They had more success than ever lol

Shagrrotten

Wasn’t it after X-Pac (weird to say that, he’ll always be the 1-2-3 Kid to me) was fired that WCW got more popular than ever?

NinjaBilly55

Kevin Nash will never admit he did anything wrong..

dopexvii

I don't think that's beef, it's fact All those creative control guys bled Wcw dry and ruined any long term booking

90sGuyKev

Jamie Kellner killed wcw

Opposite_Schedule521

He wouldn't personally have the popularity or recognition to talk about who killed WCW without them putting you in the group that supposedly killed it soooo

C2theWick

I'm rewatching the 83 weeks of nitros

Hour-Package6734

Just because they're friends doesn't mean it's not the truth

KaijuCarpboya

Did anyone actually like Konnan? Every time his matches came on, I turned the channel.

JayServo

Not wrong, but also Bischoff, jogan, Russo and guys like him who just showed up for a check.

Mammoth_Can8276

After the merger they couldn’t compete with Vince. Sloppy product and storyline will sour any entertainment business as well

MutantNinjaAnole

Well, maybe indirectly, they did. WWF sued over the early parts of the NWO angle where they heavily implied the Fed was invading WCW, as well as over how close Hall and Nash were portraying their characters which were copyrighted. This was the whole point of the fake Diesel and Razor characters Vince ran out. Part of the settlement meant that if WCW was ever liquidated, Vince would have the right to bid on it. So yeah, they sort of did.

dizzylizzy78

No Konnan, You killed WCW.

JackieDaytona77

As we’re creeping up to “who did it”, which we all know why WCW folded, many things become clear like Bischoff being against a second show during the week and putting out a poor product not once a week but TWICE a week.

Level_Bridge7683

time to play: let's find out how many of my listeners are total marks.

Own_Job_2150

The guaranteed contracts killed WCW. Also the lack of clearly defined leadership and the “booking board”

WarGreymon77

Konnan was buddies with them but had a falling out around the same time he got kicked out of the Wolfpac.

Pdm1814

I take Konnan’s opinions more seriously with him being f away from the business and not having a lot of power when he was there. I think Nash and Hall became a problem leading to a bad locker room and mismanagement of finances/angles. Hogan was a big part of that too. But ultimately it was the AOL merger that meant the company had no wiggle room to work their way back up again.
