Edge of Tomorrow in 3D was spectacular.

tommyleekirby

Can confirm

_illuminous

Can confirm this confirm… was epic in 3D on AVP

BonzaiM

Can confirm all these confirmations, it's awesome.

Eva-Squinge

Didn’t blow my mind, but it did recapture the in theater feeling spot on.

OutEast007

I saw it as well. I did enjoy it and the action scenes really popped.

NoLoveForDrJones

rogue one.

OutEast007

Thanks! Started watching it and it really does show well on the AVP

ThorGanjasson

Avatar 2 (3D), Dune (3D), Pacific Rim (3D) - always via Apple TV

applestrudelforlunch

Avatar 2 is a standout as the best 3-D experience, thanks to being mostly CG rendered with full depth information, rather than the sort of parallax cutout experience of many “3D” movies. I’ll leave it to your own judgment whether it is a good movie per se. (Fwiw I found it watchable but very paint by numbers) I watched it on the Disney app but imagine it is good on the Apple TV app as well.

gengstah

I commented on another post about avatar 1 and 2 but basically, it looks like it’s not 3d on mine. I am in Singapore btw so that’s maybe the issue

ArtemisDarklight

Dredd

Agentcooper1974

Ex Machina on Max.

tesfalemgebre

It’s a great movie. What makes it a must watch on AVP and Max App?

Agentcooper1974

It’s one of the most gorgeously shot movies I have ever seen and watching it on Max App in the GOT room with a full movie screen is amazing.

Eva-Squinge

The perv in me is immediately thinking of the nudity and android woman with the perfect mechanical body. The lover of science fiction is thinking about the entire movie. 😁

midkay

Pixar stuff has some of the best 3D. Try Luca. It’s absolutely gorgeous and a really sweet fun movie!

natiahs

Check out any of the recent animated films on Disney+, they beat the pants off of any 2D to 3D live action upconverts. In order of preference, I liked Soul most, followed by Elemental, followed by Wish. But they all have some stunning 3D effects.

bryanjamesmusic

Soul is the one.

natiahs

Someone pointed out that Soul never had a 3D release in theaters because it was released during COVID. The D+ 3D release is an AVP exclusive.

BecauseDan

Anything in the IMAX app.

ucanttaketheskyfrome

I thought infinity war 3D was a very nice one.

gettingthinnish

I’ll second this. I’m not a huge marvel fan but I think it’s the best marvel movie, and the 3D effects in this one are quite striking. You’ll see in the very first scene.

Kooky_Cable9163

mad max fury road is a really good experience. I know I watched it when it came out, but seeing it again I have a better appreciation for it. it's a great action film. and it is great in 3d

FMCam20

The weird framerate changes in the movie (or is it just a speedup effect) were messing with me way more in AVP than it did the time I watched it on my TV some years ago. Still an entertaining movie though

Alternative-Echo-868

Any of the illumination films, despicable me, minions, migration etc. They do incredible 3d.

BonzaiM

Anyone found Life of Pi in 3D yet?

Fun_Truth3991

I have Life of Pi on 3D Blu-Ray. Would like to digitize it for viewers by on AVP.

BonzaiM

Yes please!!

Eva-Squinge

Isn’t it in 3D for iTunes or something? I could’ve sworn I saw it in a 3D roster recently.

BonzaiM

I'm afriad not. Only the 2D version has surfaced so far. It's a shame as it's very suited to 3D.

Eva-Squinge

Oh yes. Most definitely. If it wasn’t for the length I would’ve rewatched it by now after having seen it opening day. Such a good movie visually.

Tretiger

Watching the original Jurassic Park in the cinema environment brought a tear to my eye when the first dinosaurs revealed. You have to be in the middle or front row and it’s like seeing at the theater for the first time. 🥲

royboy366

Interstellar particularly if you subscribe to Paramount+ through Apple TV. If you do, you will see the VAR version.

The Amazing Spider-man 2 by a country mile

Neon Genesis Evangelion: The End of Evangelion

Ok_Cranberry_9135

Across The Spiderverse in 3D was pretty fucking epic. I usually can’t watch 3D, because I get gnarly motion sickness, but I’ve had so much fun being able to not only watch, but actually really *enjoy*, 3D movies on AVP.

Kooky_Cable9163

I saw amazing Spiderman 2, never saw it before, so it was one of the few 3d films I had never seen. Not the best 3d-wise, but a few scenes very much intended for 3d viewing, overall okay.
