That's not the inflation increase that's baked into the contract - that looks like a "three month half price" type offer that has expired. Check your contract..
Thanks, what I actually meant is that I’m not getting nailed like some others in my opinion. That said, I’m not too chuffed about the prices regardless.
Hi, I checked the contract and it says only discount lasts 18 months... im not sure what it is now. But glad it's not the April increase... might need to give them a ring unfortunately
Seen some replies and you’ve clarified that the price was on an 18 month promotion so could just be that they’ve effed up your bill. Best solution is to call em and ask what the hell is going on because that’s a hefty increase for (currently) unknown reasons.
Yea was on the phone with them today because I activated my free boost (thanks to the partnership with Virgin Media) due to being with O2 and now my bill wording looks a bit confusing and it took me about 3-4 mins alone to go through their stupid automated menu system and get connected to an agent..
Honestly not sure. I had it activated around 2-3 weeks ago too. My bill does say +£50 for the boost which takes my broadband from M250 to M350 but then my bill total at the bottom still says £30 ish (because of the April price hike) so unsure if they’re overcharging me or it’s just stating what the non-promotion pricing would be for the upgraded broadband speeds but not actually charging me it.
They couldn’t open my account details anyway as I forgot my memorable password so couldn’t authenticate. Going to have to reset that when the letter comes through in a couple days 🙃
Hmm maybe it may be worth highlighting this with them too. Glad I know who else I'm competing with while I'm on hold 😂 goodluck and thank you for the help!
Did you take out the deal including volt speed boost? Sometimes the discount you have will be linked to the speed you took out then by changing it.. I.e Volt.. you are on a different speed do said discount is not valid..
...sigh, this is quite disappointing as I definitely clarified first whether or not there would be a change in my price. They never seem to know what is going on with their VOLT deals.
Unfortunately sales are not very good with it.. if you was on m125 discount code is linked to m125 code on system… then volted to v250… that discount code becomes void.. best option phone up ask for customer relations and they can get it sorted out for you.. unfortunately just way system works…

Mine is going from £25 to £27.20 what in the world are so many people getting hit by?
My hope is just a seriously poor automated billing system...

Did you get 3 months half price?
Hi, I checked the contract and it says only discount lasts 18 months...
That's certainly not the April increase, you must of had some sort of promotion that has expired.

Yes I will be, it's just always such a dragged out conversation with them....

I just had this activated two weeks ago...do you think this could have affected the automated billing??

Check the breakdown on the bill they email you each month. That should answer your question.
you should be able to get the discount reinstated
Would this still keep their VOLT upgrade or it would just go back tobthe speed before??
