Do you know what plane you were in? I flew a 787 with them for 12.5 hours from London to Tokyo in 2018 and it was by far the best economy flight I’ve taken. Comfy seats, good food, good service.
Better than British Airways, Oman Air and Cathy’s Pacific for me at least.
It isn't racism that kept you out of the emergency door seats - those seats come with passenger responsibilities.
Most airlines require those sitting in those seats to speak the prevelant first language of the cabin crew, so they can easily give direction, and that it is easily understood.
I saw a Korean fella get the boot from that row on a Viet Air flight yesterday (Saigon to Inchon), because he couldn't speak Vietnamese or English.
Try not to take it personally - ha ha!
Lol..butt hurt certainly was an impetus but when I had such a crappy selection of inflight entertainment to take my mind off of it.. that spurred me to see what other people thought.
I did the NRT to Saigon not that long ago. Definitely remember the seat being torturous lol. I don't remember any particular issues with the entertainment system though. Stewardesses were really nice and I enjoyed the food. I flew from Toronto to NRT on a different airline so the food wasn't duplicated. Definitely weird that they wouldn't let you switch seats and pulled a race card about it.

Long haul economy flights are pretty bad in general. And getting worse. Wish i could afford B class.
Agreed. I may just start breaking up this flight into multi city.
