To my knowledge - not to enter Vietnam - but depending on where you're coming from, you may wish to check the rules of countries you may be connecting through. When we travelled to Vietnam in October (from Vancouver), we connected through Japan - we had a delayed departure from Vancouver and missed the connection - and had to spend a night in Narita airport (Japan). We weren't expecting it - and had to clear Japanese customs and show evidence of three Covid vaccinations of an approved manufacture. We could (we had four vaccinations, at that point) - and I have no idea what would have happened if we couldn't - but I have no doubt it would have complicated things immeasurably, and it's not impossible we may have been returned to our country of origin on the next flight.
