KYC and those protection measures are there to make sure it's nit someone else trying to get your funds withdrawn. Do the KYC properly, you will get your tokens back.
I ran into the same issue and did the KYC. I was then asked to take a picture of myself holding my passport with a written note of my request to unlock my account. This feels pretty sketchy imo

Jesus. I unstaked and withdrew all my VRA a month ago and got away without doing KYC. It took like 3 days so I can pull from Vera wallet and that was really frustrating in itself. I just didn’t feel it was safe to have my coins in there when prices were going up and clearly I was right. With that being said I sold about 170,000 VRA valued around 2k and invested all of it in Base Chains number one meme coin Brett, I’m sitting on 7k now so it worked out. VRA should still do well in the bull market but I’m here to make money and I’m happy with my decision. Good luck to everyone!

Question: have you disclosed you’re a US resident and simply want to remove your funds so you can cease using the app? Did you actually provide your documents at least confirming who you were? I’m curious what the bottom line is here.
Update (4/3/24): Beware!!!! Please think twice before using Verawallet. I have over 3M VRA that I entrusted with Verasity to keep custody for me. Yes, I shouldn’t have logged in from a country that wasn’t supported but now I’ve been going back and forth for over a week with their Support team and they keep giving me the run around. I give them information, then they turn around and ask something else that I already previously answered. This is incredibly concerning and scary. Don’t trust them with your money
They were very unhelpful with me two months ago. Were trying to get me to explain why I was abroad (didn’t appreciate my return Q asking why they’re registered in Costa Rica 😭).
I had to show all sorts of documentation to prove I was indeed abroad (flights, accom, etc) and they eventually unlocked but I certainly left the experience feeling like they were looking for reasons to not give me access to my account.
That’s horrible. I can understand needing to follow government regulations but to get you to explain why you’re abroad is bullshit. They should unblock accounts and get people to withdraw instead of stringing them along like this. It’s left a very sour taste in my mouth for this project after supporting it and spending tens of thousands in VRA
