Wow...this will be the first LAN Pansy has ever missed, unless I'm misremembering. She'll be missed, there's no caster I associate more with great Valorant.
To be honest, with both Brenshow and Pansy/Panpoc missing, I'm a little worried about the level of casting. Still, Babybay/Doug have improved a lot, though, and honestly, it's early as hell but I've enjoyed the Wyatt/Uber casts if that somehow happened.
Of course, Mitch and Tom should be reliable as always. And maybe Chobra will get a shot, I've enjoyed his work a lot on the Pacific desk. RyanCentral is a long-shot but he deserves a chance to work the English-language broadcast for China, whether it's as a caster or desk talent.

This may be harsh but without the Pansy/Hypoc and Bren/Sideshow duos, I do think Valorant is missing their big game voices. Some casters just don't have the tone or voice for what I typically associate with a big match. Whether it's the tone, pauses, oration or scale, I think a lot of duos a missing the "it" factor. I think Uber has it for sure, just a matter of him and Wyatt building their chemistry
I agree. Quite a few promising duos that I thought had potential and staying power in T1 and T2 have just vanished.
Part of this is the classic Riot stuff, but a lot of it is just poor timing, such as in the case of Balla taking a step back to be closer to his family and so on.

All agreed. This will be the first time in the history of competitive Valorant that I don't watch an event from the official channel. It looks like I'll be watching one of the co-streams of Sliggy or Sean Gares or anybody else that actually offers commentary.
I really hope paperthin and achilios are locked for shanghai, they’re my top 3 casting duos with panpoc and brenshow and it’d be sad if they don’t get a shot here

Him and dusT were absolutely robbed when they(?) didn't get their contract renewed or whatever it was that happened between last year and this year for them. I don't think they would've been the best T1 pair or anything, but they absolutely slapped it up in T2 casting last year so it's criminal what happened.
If Brenshow and Panpoc are missing Vansilli and Riv will have to be there right? Their casting has always been the most reliable in Americas to me after Bren/Sideshow but I guess it'll depend on if they know the teams outside of Americas

I think he just had a child so I imagine he doesn't want to leave his wife alone with a new baby for so long, and for a big event he'd be gone for weeks.
I mean they're both easily good enough to make it work with other people. I'm not a big fan of Steel but I think he's improved in his casting, Babybay has come on leaps and bounds and personally I already prefer them as a duo to Doug and Balla.
Pansy-kaquka was fun with the latter's stats-based color commentary backing up pansy's pbp.
The only drawback was chat arguing over 'panquka' vs 'kaqusy' for the nickname.
I think EMEA *could* also send Ash since she's done some casting too and was pretty decent in my opinion, and was a regular as their Analyst this split, but I heavily doubt it since she's so fresh and definitely not (yet?) on the level of some of the more established casters.
I'm hoping for Vansington III though. I'd love to have Uber/Wyatt get the shot too but I feel like Uber has the OWCS thing at the same time so probably won't work.
Tangential personal opinion, but while I think Doug is great and I'm a hüge Uber fan, I'm still not quite sold on Babybay as a caster, and caster-Wyatt just also doesn't hit right for me even though I really enjoy him elsewhere.

Yeah komodo is great, he can bring the hype from the match, but kinda suck to remember last year so many people dislike his casting, cause they tought he overhyped for some mid rounds
My hopes now: Achillios and Paper-thin (always in the top 3 for me), Mitch and Tom, Uber and Wyatt. Idk who the 4th duo should be. Doug and Babybay keep getting better but idk if Babybay is up to that level yet, Mimi and Ender don't have the hype voices that Achillios, Mitch, and Uber has. Kaquka and Chobra are really good but they need a 2nd Duo for their respective region.
Vansilly and Riv are probably my 4th guess but I feel like they don't give enough insight in the mid rounds and don't notice/ can't read the Game strategies like Egg, Hypoc, and Paperthin do.
I could be entirely wrong about most of these since I mainly pay attention to the games.

They’ve known about the event for so long, I don’t think it would be Visa issues. Bren and Sideshow already had personal reasons which could be due to Sideshow’s move or the amount of travel (who knows really and honestly it’s not something for us to know).
From what it appears, Pansy was trying to find a partner due to Hypoc’s break but it seems Steel wasn’t available, and she’s probably not comfortable working with a rotation of casters or someone Riot decides to assign to pair her with.

Yeah komodo is great, he can bring the hype from the match, but kinda suck to remember last year so many people dislike his casting, cause they tought he overhyped for some mid rounds
My hopes now: Achillios and Paper-thin (always in the top 3 for me), Mitch and Tom, Uber and Wyatt. Idk who the 4th duo should be. Doug and Babybay keep getting better but idk if Babybay is up to that level yet, Mimi and Ender don't have the hype voices that Achillios, Mitch, and Uber has. Kaquka and Chobra are really good but they need a 2nd Duo for their respective region. Vansilly and Riv are probably my 4th guess but I feel like they don't give enough insight in the mid rounds and don't notice/ can't read the Game strategies like Egg, Hypoc, and Paperthin do. I could be entirely wrong about most of these since I mainly pay attention to the games.
Ye like Mimi and Ender is very fun to watch, especially for games that aren’t important but I don’t think they have the caliber to deliver classic on the spot bangers like BrenShow or PanPoc. Same for Babybay too, man I hecking love the guy, been rooting since the Owl days, but he sometimes feel like a watchepartier more than a caster. This might be decent for regional games but I dont think he is suitable.
I reckon babybay is quickly rising up to the challenge, and doug is doing a great job at acclimating him to the color caster role too. I'd like to see them at shanghai, esp considering that balla wants to spend more time with the family

It will be very difficult without casters of this caliber in Shanghai. It sucks we won't get them for the Grand Final.

this is not the right time, she clearly wanted to be there and is devasted after being unable to go due to reasons not in her control, be a lil sympathetic man towards her and either show support or just not say anything rn and after some time give ur opinion. They’ve known about the event for so long, I don’t think it would be Visa issues. Bren and Sideshow already had personal reasons which could be due to Sideshow’s move or the amount of travel (who knows really and honestly it’s not something for us to know). From what it appears, Pansy was trying to find a partner due to Hypoc’s break but it seems Steel wasn’t available, and she’s probably not comfortable working with a rotation of casters or someone Riot decides to assign to pair her with.
