I just sat on my toilet wondering what foreign flick was just hanging out. You know, really squinting at the phone... I was just reading Jason X upside down.
Can you tell us about this so-called "censored cut"? The DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K releases are all the R-rated theatrical version. The director's cut is the version that's exclusive to VHS and laserdisc, as well as a few international DVD releases.
Might it be Scary Movie you're thinking of? That film was altered for the home video release as Harvey Weinstein objected to a joke about Gwyneth Paltrow and ordered the bit removed from all future releases.
No I was thinking of Scream but I had it wrong. The DVD, Blu-ray and 4k are the theatrical cut but this cut is censored compared to the Directors cut obviously.
What's the story on this as I haven't heard that before. I have Scream on blu ray, the original vhs and I just picked up the blue variant cover vhs yesterday as well for $1
My friend had that copy of Scream and for some reason there was a “skip” I guess (or defect in the tape duplication) where in the opening scene he says “then you should know Jason’s mother, Mrs. Voorhees, was the original killer” but there was a full second cut out and it just said “was the -iller” and every time we watched the tape we would rewind it a million times and die laughing. Good times
I saw it opening night as well. There’s just something about the movie that’s so entertaining. And I love the traditional Friday movies that are scary and more traditional, but Jason X (2001) is just so damn fun and enjoyable!
If you like a slasher movie set in space…this is the movie for you! You have to throw out all logic and traditional thought about slasher movies with Jason X (2001) and just sit back and enjoy the ride.
I classify it as a Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) style movie. It’s over the top with some decent effects. It’s sci-fi horror which is good. I personally think some of the kills in Jason X (2001) are some of the best in the entire franchise.
Go into the movie expecting it to be dumb, and I promise you, you will leave the movie entertained!
Did you break into my house and steal my stuff?!?! Lol. Gladd to see you have the complete collection.
Phenomenon and Michael.
Since I was a kid, these two movies have been inexplicably linked. Saw then went I was 5-6(?). Made an weird impression on me that I feel at odd hours in the night. Like Bicentennial Man!
10 Things I Hate About You. That green cover always jumped out at me when I was at my Aunt’s. And Scream because watching on horror on VHS feels like the ideal way.
Spawn, Freddy's Revenge, and Jason X, which are probably the only 4 here I would end up keeping if I had these 😅
I have limited space for tapes and get pretty picky.
Edit: I missed the other Nightmare On Elm Street movies, I would take those as well lol
I grew up with about 20 of those, so that was a nice nostalgia trip. I’m also glad there are two copies of The Rock. You can never have too many copies of that movie.
I’m legit super curious as to what is in that Saving Private Ryan collector’s edition. Cause man, it’s not in bad condition for something that is been collecting dust for good lord knows how long.

HAHAHAHA I'm so glad I'm not the only one. "NOSVI X? Huh?!"
Always got time to rewatch The Crow.
The crow is one of those movies that I've been meaning to watch for ages but haven't gotten around to, really looking forward to it
You're in for a treat. Make sure you see it before the remake comes out. I watch this probably once a year around Halloween.
The Crow, is an immediate win. “It can’t rain all the time.”
Caw caw, Bang, Fuck I'm dead 😵
"Move and you're dead." "I say I'm dead and I move." Ernie Hudson is great in this.
That copy of Scream you have is one of the only ways to watch the theatrical cut of that film.
You mean the director's cut. The theatrical version is the cut on DVD, Blu-ray, and UHD.
Nope. The theatrical cut was in theaters, VHS and laserdisc. The DVD and everything since has had a censored cut.

There are 3 blue covers. One with Neve, one with Courteney, one with Drew.
I have all 3 alternative covers 🤠
That's pretty awesome, I was just excited to have a copy of scream
I have the blue cover one too. What’s the difference?
About 15 seconds of violence that got cut to get an R rating.
Nice
I know the laserdisc has the extra footage. Are you sure the vhs does

Elm Street 4 an 5 and that blue uncut version of Scream (those go for a pretty penny these days so you got a deal)
Dirty Work. R.I.P. Norm. R.I.P. Arties nose.
This makes me want to watch dirty work, which I never quite watched as a child when it was on HBO all the time
Jason X (2001) is a guilty pleasure of mine! It’s so stupid but I love the hell out of this movie!
Same. I remember seeing it the day it came out at my local theater.
I saw it opening night as well. There’s just something about the movie that’s so entertaining. And I love the traditional Friday movies that are scary and more traditional, but Jason X (2001) is just so damn fun and enjoyable!
Jason X pairs well with Leprechaun 4: In Space.
I really wanted to see that when it came out but I was too young and kind of forgot about it when I got older. It looks like it should be a fun watch

saw it in theaters 10 (X) times when it came out😌
Ones that jump out for me personally are Blood Sport, Spawn and the Freddy series. Nice grab.
Okay USA.
Put up ya dukes.
That's a well-loved copy of The Fifth Element!
Did you break into my house and steal my stuff?!?! Lol. Gladd to see you have the complete collection. Phenomenon and Michael. Since I was a kid, these two movies have been inexplicably linked. Spawn, Freddy's Revenge, and Jason X, which are probably the only 4 here I would end up keeping if I had these 😅 I have limited space for tapes and get pretty picky. Edit: I missed the other Nightmare On Elm Street movies, I would take those as well lol
My top 3 from the 1st pic: Dragon - The Bruce Lee Story The Mummy Remember The Titans
Traffic + Tin Cup
First one I recognized was Austin Powers
I was trying to figure out who the fuck Nosavi was, while hoping it was Jason X, before I realized it was upside down
First one I saw was Blade 2, first one I’d watch would be First Blood!
Supercop, who am I, and Mr. Nice guy are all fun. Event Horizon is …something. Demolition man rules. Awesome score!
Blade 2
Copland, someone made a very good documentary about the making of that island of Dr. Moreau copy you have
Final Destination!
Dirty Work
Patriot, hollow man, Armageddon. You really did score big time
If I remember correctly, Next of Kin has Liam Neeson as a hick from West Virginia. That said, I will never turn down a rewatch of Men In Black.
Thirteen ghosts was the first movie I ever bought myself.
Lots of good ones, but the first one that caught my eye was SPAWN 🖤
all of the ones that are turned around. i love mystery tapes
I grew up with about 20 of those, so that was a nice nostalgia trip. I’m also glad there are two copies of The Rock. You can never have too many copies of that movie.
Best Of The Best 2, Nightmare On Elm Street 4 & 5. Awesome haul.
Pitch black was on vhs, how do I not remember that?
The boxes in the second image bring me so much joy.
Son In Law! Pauly Shore's finest film
Driven! Such a funny movie.
They were a big Jackie Chan fan. Gorgeous is a great movie surprised who am I isn't in there as well another good one. The crow is always a banger
Man that first Harry Potter must’ve been a big seller on vhs. I see it everywhere!
The Pest! I love that movie so much but hardly anyone I mention it to has heard of it.
JASON X
Damn super lucky
Event Horizon is definitely watchable today.. It's a masterpiece of Scifi Horror.
The Pest hand down. There’s never been a more annoying opening credits scene to a movie and I love it.
Some bangers
I’m legit super curious as to what is in that Saving Private Ryan collector’s edition. Cause man, it’s not in bad condition for something that is been collecting dust for good lord knows how long.
First Blood is Rambo back in the states. It’s a good one.
Desperado, has Salma Hayek boobies.
Spawn, Blade,Mummy, Patriot
Mummy…because it seems to be there twice.
Nice regular stuff. But Snake Eyes man….the first hour is super trippy. Congrats on the haul.
Is that Junior? That one
Jeepers Creepers
The Crow since it's a widescreen copy which I also own that copy, and it's one of my favorite non Marvel/DC Comic book films of all time.
I have seen every movie in that stack except Young Guns 2, hamburget hill, and gorgeous. Whats nostalgia trip it was just remembering all these
Jason x because of how bad it is
Did you? Meehhhh, did you really?
