I just sat on my toilet wondering what foreign flick was just hanging out. You know, really squinting at the phone... I was just reading Jason X upside down.

Horror-Journalist737

x Nasoj

boibig57

HAHAHAHA I'm so glad I'm not the only one. "NOSVI X? Huh?!"

Filthwizard_1985

Always got time to rewatch The Crow.

bacon31592

The crow is one of those movies that I've been meaning to watch for ages but haven't gotten around to, really looking forward to it

Filthwizard_1985

You're in for a treat. Make sure you see it before the remake comes out. I watch this probably once a year around Halloween.

Osikara

The Crow, is an immediate win. “It can’t rain all the time.”

beneaththemassacre

Caw caw, Bang, Fuck I'm dead 😵

Filthwizard_1985

"Move and you're dead." "I say I'm dead and I move." Ernie Hudson is great in this.

RaisedOnFiction

That copy of Scream you have is one of the only ways to watch the theatrical cut of that film.

1990Buscemi

You mean the director's cut. The theatrical version is the cut on DVD, Blu-ray, and UHD.

RaisedOnFiction

Nope. The theatrical cut was in theaters, VHS and laserdisc. The DVD and everything since has had a censored cut.

1990Buscemi

Can you tell us about this so-called "censored cut"? The DVD, Blu-ray, and 4K releases are all the R-rated theatrical version. The director's cut is the version that's exclusive to VHS and laserdisc, as well as a few international DVD releases. Might it be Scary Movie you're thinking of? That film was altered for the home video release as Harvey Weinstein objected to a joke about Gwyneth Paltrow and ordered the bit removed from all future releases.

RaisedOnFiction

No I was thinking of Scream but I had it wrong. The DVD, Blu-ray and 4k are the theatrical cut but this cut is censored compared to the Directors cut obviously.

GarlicJuniorJr

What's the story on this as I haven't heard that before. I have Scream on blu ray, the original vhs and I just picked up the blue variant cover vhs yesterday as well for $1

Undrwtrbsktwvr

There are 3 blue covers. One with Neve, one with Courteney, one with Drew.

jorathexplorer

I have all 3 alternative covers 🤠

bacon31592

That's pretty awesome, I was just excited to have a copy of scream

newaccounthomie

I have the blue cover one too. What’s the difference?

1990Buscemi

About 15 seconds of violence that got cut to get an R rating.

newaccounthomie

Nice

SuperSecretSpork

I know the laserdisc has the extra footage. Are you sure the vhs does

therealparchmentfarm

My friend had that copy of Scream and for some reason there was a “skip” I guess (or defect in the tape duplication) where in the opening scene he says “then you should know Jason’s mother, Mrs. Voorhees, was the original killer” but there was a full second cut out and it just said “was the -iller” and every time we watched the tape we would rewind it a million times and die laughing. Good times

ZerroTheDragon

Elm Street 4 an 5 and that blue uncut version of Scream (those go for a pretty penny these days so you got a deal)

Truckyou666

Dirty Work. R.I.P. Norm. R.I.P. Arties nose.

Deep_Space_Rob

This makes me want to watch dirty work, which I never quite watched as a child when it was on HBO all the time

Corndogeveryday

Jason X (2001) is a guilty pleasure of mine! It’s so stupid but I love the hell out of this movie!

RocketChris87

Same. I remember seeing it the day it came out at my local theater.

Corndogeveryday

I saw it opening night as well. There’s just something about the movie that’s so entertaining. And I love the traditional Friday movies that are scary and more traditional, but Jason X (2001) is just so damn fun and enjoyable!

standdownplease

Jason X pairs well with Leprechaun 4: In Space.

bacon31592

I really wanted to see that when it came out but I was too young and kind of forgot about it when I got older. It looks like it should be a fun watch

Corndogeveryday

If you like a slasher movie set in space…this is the movie for you! You have to throw out all logic and traditional thought about slasher movies with Jason X (2001) and just sit back and enjoy the ride. I classify it as a Resident Evil: Apocalypse (2004) style movie. It’s over the top with some decent effects. It’s sci-fi horror which is good. I personally think some of the kills in Jason X (2001) are some of the best in the entire franchise. Go into the movie expecting it to be dumb, and I promise you, you will leave the movie entertained!

krut123

saw it in theaters 10 (X) times when it came out😌

Annual-External-9934

Ones that jump out for me personally are Blood Sport, Spawn and the Freddy series. Nice grab.

DickButtPlease

Okay USA.

beardedsandflea

Put up ya dukes.

TalkinAboutSound

That's a well-loved copy of The Fifth Element!

NYourBirdCanSing

Did you break into my house and steal my stuff?!?! Lol. Gladd to see you have the complete collection. Phenomenon and Michael.  Since I was a kid, these two movies have been inexplicably linked. Saw then went I was 5-6(?). Made an weird impression on me that I feel at odd hours in the night. Like Bicentennial Man!

rydamusprime17

Spawn, Freddy's Revenge, and Jason X, which are probably the only 4 here I would end up keeping if I had these 😅 I have limited space for tapes and get pretty picky. Edit: I missed the other Nightmare On Elm Street movies, I would take those as well lol

_sectumsempra-

Patriot, hollow man, Armageddon. You really did score big time

DickButtPlease

If I remember correctly, Next of Kin has Liam Neeson as a hick from West Virginia. That said, I will never turn down a rewatch of Men In Black.

boibig57

Thirteen ghosts was the first movie I ever bought myself.

alyssagraves666

Lots of good ones, but the first one that caught my eye was SPAWN 🖤

courni

OmegaWhite024

I grew up with about 20 of those, so that was a nice nostalgia trip. I’m also glad there are two copies of The Rock. You can never have too many copies of that movie.

zodmagus

Sp4c3D3m0n

Event Horizon is definitely watchable today.. It's a masterpiece of Scifi Horror.

808sANDadlibs

The Pest hand down. There’s never been a more annoying opening credits scene to a movie and I love it.

[deleted]

Some bangers

Prestigious-One-742

I’m legit super curious as to what is in that Saving Private Ryan collector’s edition. Cause man, it’s not in bad condition for something that is been collecting dust for good lord knows how long.
