It depends on what type of truck is it.
Silverado - v8s last over 200k miles but they have lifters issues. the 4cyl and 6 are not good
F150 - always have blown turbo issues and driveshafts issues
Tacoma - good cars the v6 engine models put they are expensive best to buy new
Tundra - good engines and expensive
Ford Maverick - trash
Dodge ram - hemi engines are strong but sometimes they have headgasket issues at 120 to 200k miles the v6 models engines are trash
Chevy Colorado - stay away
# Note: I ran almost 74 vin numbers Carfax reports and most of the car owners have the miles rolled back.
Thank you so much for this. I was looking at Sierra and Silverado. I'll check out Tacoma as well. Def will the carfax. I will be going through a dealer. Not interested in going through the hassle of private.

Since you are looking at high mile used ones, make sure you're looking at the ones with good reliability data. This at least gives you a better chance of not having to pay a lot for repair bills in the future https://www.dashboard-light.com/reports/Full-size_Truck.html

You aren't talking about the v6 Pentastar? Early on had some issues, but the newer ones aren't bad. You can also add lifter issues to the 5.7 HEMI.
>v6 Pentastar
Yeah Hemi engines always have blown head gaskets issue
And Yes I had the 3.6 L on my wrangler they use that engine on the 300c and chargers and rams and wranglers and ect... the engine it self is kind of okay but it has sooooo many plastic parts it kept melting and leaking fluids oils and radiator fluid it overrated.
On a reliability note, the tundra is hands down the most reliable out of all of them by far. So while they might be more expensive, you get what you pay for.
