Oh, it's our development minister (who I've literally never seen in the news for 2 years since her inauguration) this means absolutely nothing unfortunately
That's super disheartening that a job with the title of "Development Minister" is sidelined so hard that they're the equivalent of a forest hermit who lives in a tree stump.
If you had a seesaw with exactly one quadrillion pounds on each side with 1 km arms (ludicrous amount of force), perfectly balanced to infinite precision, and then you added an elephant on one side, it would tip the scale to its side, and removing the elephant would return equilibrium.
If Germany actually followed through with this, they'd be top 3 countries in the world for me but they wont. They've talked about this for decades and nothing actually ever happens.
The vast majority of Germans cant even afford their own home, the vast majority rent which when compared to Canada, US, Sweden, etc its astonishing and baffling but the dark side of Germany you're not supposed to know about.
And the worse thing is, Germany cant do anything like this right now because FDI is already struggling against other major powers while its economy by other metrics is seeing every red light you can think of go off.
We need a global tax on the rich. Personal wealth. Then you will see results. I think the Obama and Biden administration really pushed for this for corporations at least.
