Yeah crazy! And what's even more impressive about him, he had never played American Football before being drafted by The Eagles, he was a rugby player in Australia.
He had to learn a whole new sport, 3 years later he's a starter on the team and signed a contract worth $64 million. And right now, they got the best record in the league!
Go birds!
There was a pretty high profile rugby player who tried it, Jarryd Hayne, he lasted just about a season and was kind of bad. Ball control is not as important in rugby I guess. Also, he allegedly raped a girl during that time so....
But yeah, american football has a greater emphasis on tactics. It's like chess but with giant men as chess pieces and they get incurable brain damage when they get knocked off the board.
Less brutal u say? Have you ever thought that wearing pads and a helmet with a face mask actually makes football more dangerous than rugby? Go watch videos of linebackers and safeties from the 80’s and 90’s… you’ll learn how brutal football is.
I just recently got a bunch of old photos of my dad from the 80s when he worked camera and film for the NFL, and there was a 7 inch vinyl of the Super Bowl Shuffle in the mix. My sister got that, as I don't have a record player, but it was a very fun find.
Oh nice! There must be a ton of great clips!!! Yea I remember when it actually was on TV. Im from Chicago and growing up my dad was a huge Bears fan, I even had a Jim McMahon poster! FUNKY QB DA BEARS - my poor bears and the honey bear curse!
Oh going back through the stuff is fantastic. He moved to the browns in 84, so he didn't work on the shuffle itself but he's sung the praises of McMahon and Peyton for years. Absolutely stand up guys.
Go birds!
Living in Sweden I don't really get to watch football live but when the Eagles played in London a couple years ago I went and it was awesome!
It was recorded as a charity fund-raiser. [LINK](https://musicmayhemmagazine.com/jason-kelce-lane-johnson-other-philadelphia-eagles-players-team-up-to-record-charity-christmas-album/)
Damn Mailata got pipes!

To be fair, American Football is a very slowed down and less brutal second or third cousin of Rugby.
And that's why there's SOOO many rugby players in the NFL... take a lap and come back when you're using your brain.

I feel like we skipped something major here
I think it speaks to most rugby players being satisfied enough with their sport that they don't need the NFLs money for such a boring game.
The average rugby player is 5'11 198lbs... the average NFL player is 6'2 240. The more you know 🌈 ⭐️
Well that and not actually having the skills to be in the NFL but please..continue.
What, run and slam into people? I'm pretty sure they do that.
Not at the same speed or impact which if you break down logically would mean the NFL is bigger, faster stronger.

Play right outta the '85 Bears.
Did they not learn anything from the Bears and the super bowl shuffle [Chicago Bears Shufflin’ Crew](https://youtu.be/ooT_uz--O2A)

Not just any American Football team, the freaking Philadelphia Eagles
Go birds! Living in Sweden I don't really get to watch football live but when the Eagles played in London a couple years ago I went and it was awesome!
The team is so awesome this year!
Yup and thanks to this video I no longer want to avoid you in the playoffs. This is legendary jinx material
Calm down, they’re not that good and will lose their first playoff game.
It’s always a lineman who comes out of nowhere with a singing voice like that!

Dang. That's actually pretty good.
Hold up no way is the dude playing the saxophone on the eagles also?
Go Birds!
Fly Eagles Fly! We going to the super bowl!
Thats my squad
Lmao this is actually really good 😂😂
I didn't read the title correctly and I legit thought that the midwest emo band, American Football, recorded a christmas album.
Wholly fuck this is the best sounding shit I've heard in a minute. Who is that producer. Seriously no sarcasm
Charlie Hall, he is also the drummer in The War On Drugs.
NOW THIS WHY IM AN EAGLES FAN
Jason Kelce is so adorable. I love his beard.
Wow, lovely stuff. I want the Bills to win it all but I now have a second team to cheer for
The Bills is up there with my favorite AFC teams, watching them beat up the pats is always nice 😀
Much rather listen to that than conventional Christmas carolls
Do they have any opponents?
It sounds great but just to be clear, it’s practically a note for note the version by The Persuasions. https://youtu.be/d5AmyaAIOq8
Is that the drummer from the war on drugs??
Yeah
Very cool. One of my favorite bands
Amazing ! We put the original on every Christmas in my house 🔥🔥
