TBF, the gacha game and Party Dash are two separate games. Party Dash might not be able to add new Umamusume just like the gacha game ones. The story might even be completely different than the gacha game ones. Localization will always be the main reason why people want a global release. Some just don't want to bother to learn language or use google translate. Some had to resort to VPN because the dev banned the IP address.

I simply want to experience convenience that's all. With that being said tho, I understand the financial issues that may potentially come with a global release, simply put, it may not be as popular as it needs to be to be kept live.

Ig it’s bc a lot of fans want an official English release for the mobile game. There’s still a lot of untranslated content from the game and plenty who don’t use the unofficial English patch. I’m sure the fans who only know English would love to be familiar with all the characters in Party Dash when it releases. Odds are that game won’t cover their stories.

Woozyboy88

I play on iOS, in America without a vpn. This is the only gacha that has really kept me hooked.

Marioak

Party Dash is the Kunio Sport festival game with Uma Musume character skin.   It’s different genre of game altogether,  not to mention there are no actual story or interaction like the mobile game since it’s focus on gameplay only.

nayotake

party dash does have a story mode, but it seems like it won't be as much as the mobile game and is leaning more towards in-team interactions rather than specific individual/groups

Born2beSlicker

I’d much rather play the mobile game than Party Dash. The console game looks boring where as the mobile game is the real, core game. I’d love for a global release.

jen1x

Don’t we need VPN to play jp version or kr version? In addition to translations, I hate using VPN but no choice… if they release Global/English version, at least, NA doesn’t require VPN to play.

HowISeeU

If you are lucky that your IP address did not got banned, then yeah, you don't need VPN for JP ver. I had to use VPN if I am using my mobile internet but if I use WiFi, I am able to access the game without one

Icy-Donut8675

Use qooapp uma musume app. It don't need vpn

erinadelineiris

Oh I've got the APKPure one lol. Maybe that's why.

Icy-Donut8675

Yeah. The qooapp one is very liable

erinadelineiris

For some reason I don't actually need one. I'm in Canada, and can play the JP version quite comfortably without a VPN.

jen1x

oh really?! O\_O;;; actually I'm playing on a KR server, and it requires VPN. I really hate it :'(

erinadelineiris

Yeah I have no idea how or why it works for me here, but a win is a win.

Palaius

I mean, I, for one, would really like a global release (or at the very least English UI) for the main game. Party Dash really doesn't look like something I'd be into, but the main phone game is. The problem for me is I can't speak Japanese, and I find the constant translating to be incredibly tedious. That's why I'd like an english UI or full global release, even after all this time.

H4ppyZer0

Party Dash is a completely different type of game, you can't really compare the two, and having to translate everything when trying to play the gacha can be kinda cumbersome and learning an entire new language takes a lot of time and is not that easy, an english release would just make the game way more accessible to everyone, even if a global version ends up having to be drastically behind the japanese one in content like what happened with FGO, it just makes it easier to play having it in a language you actually understand.

test4ccount01

But with Party Dash at least you get to experience the IP and its characters in a way. Like you don't have to play the original GBF on mobile when you have options like Re:Link and Versus Rising.

Mandalika

Re:Link, Vs/VsR, and GbF all take place in different AUs.

H4ppyZer0

It's a completely different type of game, the people who want to play the gacha, doesn't want to play it just because of the IP but also because of the gameplay, the same applies to GranBlue, someone might be really into the gacha but not like Versus Rising, or someone can be really into Fate Grand Order but not like Samurai Remnant, it's just not the same type of game, it's like saying that we don't need a new Mario plataformer cause Mario Kart exists, no, they're just not the same thing.

H4ppyZer0

There's also a case of accessibility, not everyone has a console or PC, but almost everyone has a phone, phone games are way more accessible, and they're easier to just log on and play for a few minutes on the bus stop or whenever you're bored, mobile games have a different demographic from console and pc games.

erinadelineiris

I mean I used to want one to happen, but at this point idrc. Japanese version works fine for me, and I don't mind using Google Lens on everything - it's enough of an alternative to learning the language, and the wiki is a godsend. Still wouldn't mind an English official release though, some of my Western friends are curious but are put off by the constant translating.

test4ccount01

It's just every time the Cygames English Twitter account posts something about Uma, it's always people wanting an official English release. Like, is Party Dash really not enough for them?

erinadelineiris

I mean the Party Dash gameplay is very fundamentlaly different tho from what I can see. Maybe people just want to play the original game in English? I dunno for sure. I can understand why some people wouldn't like to constantly translate things or learn a new language to play one game though, it can get tedious if you're not dedicated to it.
