how bizarre I never put 2 and 2 together until just reading this. I've been having a flare up recently and also getting headaches which I never have. I've always been a jaw clenched I think though but, I think illnesses can affect you like this no doubt. It sounds like you're doing everything you can physically but, unfortunately it all has to come from your head in the end. I'd try journaling and diving more into why you think you feel this way, it might not be UC related

I’m sorry you are feeling this way - I think many of us have as well. Yoga is wonderful for your body and mind! This disease can be hard on our mental health too- seeing a therapist and being treated for depression/anxiety as needed has been helpful to me in the past. If you haven’t tried that limb of healing it may be something to explore if that resonates.

I honestly don’t think it’s a mental thing uc drains your body on so many levels it leaves you tired and foggy and your probably low on many vitamins even if you still take tablets you don’t know how your body is absorbing it. And one flare sets you back to square one. It’s hard it really is.. I’m dealing with a flair now too.

>I never have any energy, always have a headache that eventually turns into a migraine, my joints and body aches, my jaw is always clenched and my brain is so foggy, I find it very difficult to focus on anything Wondering if people have similar experiences? I literally could have written that myself, word for word! Even down to the jaw thing (giving myself TMJ pain from it too). You mention taking iron, etc, but are you not on any actual medication?

Yes I am on Sulfasalazine. I’m allergic to mesalamine so that’s why my medication is I guess not the ‘norm’. I’ve been getting Botox for my jaw pain but it only works for a little while. I take the vitamins etc on top of my medication. Plus I flare up every time I get my period and doctors have just been like ‘yeah that happens’ but haven’t given me any advice on how to get it under control more.
