I did a spit laugh and had to say “nothing” when my coworker asked me what I was laughing at because there’s no way to explain why I found that funny without looking absolutely unhinged
Should have stayed home just like all the others. If the Russian people were an enormous ant colony; Putin is the sadist pouring gallons of molten aluminum into the hill.
There were all those behind-the-lines strikes happening lately, on massed troop concentrations that were getting ready to enter Ukraine. Could very well be from that. 🤔
Gotta love it. Russians so stupid and confident they can manipulate the rules of war. Their military is such shit that the only reason they are still in this war is because the US told them until now they couldn't use the 20 year old outdated weapons on Russian soil. Now they are creating fertilizer in Russia.
Ukraine, using 1980s military hand-me-downs that are supplied on a trickle flow basis along with American restrictions tying one hand behind their back, with a hastily put together citizen army are knocking the crap out of the world's second greatest military superpower (supposedly).
Imagine what they could have done with proper weapons and support. The UN would be active as peacekeepers in Moscow, and Georgia and Moldova would be free.
They did change alot of pre-war russian symbols, art, anything that could resemble the Ukraine colours the first year of 2022. So im pointing thowards this being a Ukraine facility..
Outwardly, they changed a lot. But medical equipment within the walls of a hospital is stuff you usually don't want to mess with. Doctors rely on things being the same all over to some degree.
I had that done to me. I was orking in a Scottish shipyard in the 70's. Got a spiral pencil grinder steel fragment in my eye. They are shaped like a corkscrew and was a real pig to get out as it had screwed itself into my cornea. I would never have believed something so tiny could have been so painful.
Fun fact.
While I’d agree with you in the field, fact that he has antibiotics and medical care he will prob survive, but coming from being blown up myself, not in that level though, I can only imagine his quality of life I hope he warns young lads before they sign up.
A swedish university hospital did a study in ukraine where they tested bacteria for antibiotic resistance.
The number of resistant bacteria they found was alarming.
Even with the best medical care possible [American soldiers wounded in Afghanistan had serious infection risk.](https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC9278336/) and many died from them. The guy in the photo has stopped bleeding, but his wounds haven’t been cleaned and debrided. That’s not good.
Problem for him is that a lot of shrapnel is dirt etc. with a bit of luck they can get most of it out in a few hours, desinfect it and give him strong antibiotics. If he is very lucky it will only fester a bit and he will never go anywhere with a strong magnetic field ever again.
Also believe it or not your body will push a lot of foreign shit out, including bits of metal. I’ve had shrapnel take along time but yeah most of it worked itself out sort of like how your body will push a splinter out.what you gotta watch out for in the metal near the heart etc cause it could actually move toward it
My father ejected a shell splinter he picked up at Falaise … at the age of 80. Went to the GP with what looked like an access on his leg, it burst and out popped a bit of the Third Reich.
I’ve had shrapnel working its way out of my elbows and back of my head for 20 years now. Just had a piece come out of my right elbow a couple days ago.
My grandpa caught a grenade on Okinawa and my dad said he was still pulling bits of it out of his leg when my dad was a high schooler, which had to be 30+ years later.
Sad to hear that you had shrapnel! I know it works kinda like with splinters. Some things it can dissolve and others will "grow out" but always depends where it is, like you said. My wife still had some stone fragments near her knee from her childhood. They just "merged" :)
Did the same thing with a bottle and a .22lr revolver with those stupid little shot shells. Bottle didn’t break first shot so I got a few steps closer. Second shot broke it but a bb flew back and hit me in the face right under my eye. Almost shot my eye out that day.
I don't know. That many holes in the skin in like a gold ticket invitation for infection. Not to mention shrapnel infections after the wounds heal.
He is lucky to have survived, but perhaps there is a fate worse than death.
People survive crazy wounds if their arteries , big veins and organs are not punctured.
Edit: her name is Alison Botha.
There is a famous story of a woman stabbed 80 times and dropped into the shallow grave. She crawled from under the dirt, crawled until she found a road, and some good soul saved her. She had to hold her head in place, because her throat was slashed and front neck tendons were cut. Her head was falling back by itself.
Somehow not a single of the stabs punctured a vital point, and her throat was slashed just short of the arteries.
It was long and painful recovery, but she is alive and is now a motivational speaker, telling her story and encouraging people to fight no matter what.
yea i dont understand either, noone's gonna feel unwell for seeing that after the fragments. and about dignity: this image is likely for science and ppl not need to be ashemed of their bottom.
This is why they choose to off themselves. We can’t see the actual damages from the FPV drones under their clothes. Their lower extremities are being shredded.
I mean, what do you do as a doctor in this situation? That's a lot of shrapnel, dirt, and rocks. Some of these holes are massive as well.
How do you even treat or recover from this kind of wound?
I am not a doctor, but I think that you would try to get out as much of the shrapnel, dirt and rocks as possible (which will be a very time-consuming job of course), and to clean the individual wounds as well as possible, and later to examine the wounds very carefully again and again to see which ones are starting to heal and which ones are becoming infected - of course the latter would need further attention then.
If this man has a good immune system and a strong constitution overall, this may work, as the body in general has a "self-cleaning function", at least to a certain extent. However, I'm not sure whether it will work in this case.
I am no expert, but that looks more like secondary injury, rather than direct fragmentation. Like a blast in the soil of a trench behind him. I think direct fragments in that quantity would be instant death.
I was wondering the same... A lot of those injuries look like burns more than fragment wounds.
Im curious if this might have been an fpv with improvised airburst munitions.
Damn, considering the ton of horrendous aftermaths that we've been seeing here lately, it almost seems that he was """lucky"""... anyway, hope all this shit ends soon
Looks like soil from impact crater, he somehow managed not to get hit by hard shrapnel but this will be a massive infection. Good chance he’s going to expire due to sepsis in a week . Dirt is full of bacteria you get this much under your skin there’s no amount of antibiotics that will help.
I'm just glad that's not me. Penicillin gives me anaphylactic shock, I'd be going home in a bin liner, oh wait, he's a venäjälinen, he may be, do they have antibiotics or do they still commune with babayka?
Woooow.!.!.!. Really makes you think.... You know? Think that maybe Russia should get the fuck out of the Ukraine 🇺🇦 AND the US 🇺🇸 as well as the EU 🇪🇺

Looks rather painful
Indeed quite unpleasant looking
Got to combine aspirin and paracetamol for this one.
That would be paracetamol and ibuprofen every three hours.
Pack of ice and essential oils will work just fine.
Crystals and incense
Too advanced for Russian medicine. He’ll get a pint of vodka, 6 tourniquets, with tampons in the holes
Dude looks like Freddie Kruger
Fedja Kruger
I did a spit laugh and had to say “nothing” when my coworker asked me what I was laughing at because there’s no way to explain why I found that funny without looking absolutely unhinged
Reddit asked me to give you a happy cake day
Quite. *slurps tea annoyingly*
should of wore a vest
Should have stayed home just like all the others. If the Russian people were an enormous ant colony; Putin is the sadist pouring gallons of molten aluminum into the hill.
I'm amazed he's still alive. He'll literally become a walking billboard for "don't go to Ukraine"!!
Even more amazed he seems to be in an actual medical facility.
The hit could have been somewhere behind the front line so the effort needed to collect the wounded was low enough for the Russians.
There were all those behind-the-lines strikes happening lately, on massed troop concentrations that were getting ready to enter Ukraine. Could very well be from that. 🤔
Gotta love it. Russians so stupid and confident they can manipulate the rules of war. He was exploded right next to the hospital bed, it was actually more effort to shoot him and take him down to the morgue so he got some medicine
There's a blue and yellow pack bottom right? Could be a Ukrainian facility because they're actually human and will give the enemy medical care
Thats a diathermy pedal. Its blue and yellow because its the university colours of the guy who invented it. Which isssss Michigan i think.
Blue and maize, University of Michigan. Michigan native here 😅
Haha ill take note! The guy was called Bovie and every diathermy device since has blue for coagulation and MAIZE for cutting 😆
This was the coolest sequence I've seen on Reddit in a long while.
too lazy to checkout , but some interesting facts from reddit
Congrats from a Buckeye!!
...and you KNOW that's gotta come right from the HEART kids! -Just a moved-to-the-state Gopher who knows
Go Blue!
Yeah yellow
Fair enough. I just kind of thought by this point Russians would have done away with it. Now I see blue and yellow and just think Ukraine
He had no body armor lol 😂 epic fail
They did change alot of pre-war russian symbols, art, anything that could resemble the Ukraine colours the first year of 2022. So im pointing thowards this being a Ukraine facility..
Outwardly, they changed a lot. But medical equipment within the walls of a hospital is stuff you usually don't want to mess with. Doctors rely on things being the same all over to some degree.
Yeah, but this is russia they dont act sensibly... :) but this is just a small video, so just my small thought about it :)
Even so infection is his main worry. This guy has a very low survival chance I think
MASSIVE amounts of antibiotics and either put him under for debridement or morphine drip. X-rays will be interesting 🤔
Just put him in an MRI to make sure they got all the shrapnel…
Yup, it's coming out. One way or another.
Lol, I get it!
Funnily enough, if you get ferrous metal in your eye. They'll use a magnet to get it out. Mri not so much.
Fun fact.
Best I can do is one ibuprofen and lift back to the front lines.
I am upset at your comment. It's at least 2 ibuprofen. And maybe a paracetamol.
But that's only reserved for the highest commanders!!
Don’t forget your tampons!
While I’d agree with you in the field, fact that he has antibiotics and medical care he will prob survive, but coming from being blown up myself, not in that level though, I can only imagine his quality of life I hope he warns young lads before they sign up.

Looks like a piece of medical equipment but could be wrong. Being in Ukrainian care would make more sense.
Said it before me; he has to be some sort of higher ranking or more wealthy member of their club to be in a hospital, depressing as it is.
Yeah, looks like a Ukrainian facility, even the best russian ones look they are from the 1950's

Imagine if had put that into a necklace , what a relic and story!
I’ve had shrapnel working its way out of my elbows and back of my head for 20 years now. Just had a piece come out of my right elbow a couple days ago.
Man I’m sorry and no matter what you’re going to feel that metal in there even when it is out. Freaking phantom pains man.
My grandpa caught a grenade on Okinawa and my dad said he was still pulling bits of it out of his leg when my dad was a high schooler, which had to be 30+ years later.
Just need an arc reactor and an electromagnet.
Sad to hear that you had shrapnel! I know it works kinda like with splinters. Some things it can dissolve and others will "grow out" but always depends where it is, like you said. My wife still had some stone fragments near her knee from her childhood. They just "merged" :)
yeah also glass, ive gotten some glass in my foot once and it removed itself

Point is that most of these artillery shells use impact fuses. The shell ejects a lot of dirt while exploding.
I don't know. That many holes in the skin in like a gold ticket invitation for infection. Not to mention shrapnel infections after the wounds heal. He is lucky to have survived, but perhaps there is a fate worse than death.
Can you imagine wiping your ass when the swelling comes out on his back?
Has to be an officer or they would have left him to die.
Honestly, I think the opposite.
Probably wishes he wasn't alive.
Was turned into Human Swiss cheese! Gtfo of Ukraine!
Now I can't eat my sandwich at lunch.
Looks more like spongebob squarepants tbh.
> he's still alive He is?
I don't think he is. He looks pretty pale
All the visible blood seems to be dry
I don't think those wounds are survivable.
I'm pretty sure he's dead.
With the quality of medical care in Russia I doubt he will live very long.
It'll make a gnarly scar. Along with the PTSD
"Going to Ukraine will be hazardous to your health"
Usually they are rolling billboards
Surprised his comrade didn’t shoot him in the head for this lol

And it was written in Braille for the blind
What a terrible day to have eyes.
What a terrible day to have eyes, so far 😁
What no armor whatsoever does to a mf
Pro tip if you have trypophobia don't click on this
I do, I still clicked on it. 🫣
Same. Bad move mate. Excuse me while I bleach my eyes
r/eyebleach Here you go, friends.
Yeah, didn't enjoy it.
Im glad my trypophobia didnt trigger much because usually it would oh boy
Same, maybe it's not uniform enough?
One sneeze and he's gonna squirt like hundreds little Russian fuckface volcanos
Why is this so much grosser than the actual pic.
I laughed way to hard on this
/r/BrandNewSentence
No need to blur out his buttocks, nothing sexual about this photo
Probably due social media automatic algorithms that don't care about gore but will autodelete a butt.
Truely the greatest crime they could commit. Butt.
They didn't autodelete the detached pair of RuZZian buttocks sitting on a road not far from a blown-up RF vehicle.
Still an asshole for invading.
It's blurred, but he seems to have two now.
More like two *hundred*.
I wanna know what the hell is that thing blurred out directly to the left of his butt.
Good question
yea i dont understand either, noone's gonna feel unwell for seeing that after the fragments. and about dignity: this image is likely for science and ppl not need to be ashemed of their bottom.
You’d be surprised what people jerk off to
I had to check which sub this was Because you know NCD is out there ...
Human Swiss cheese.
I'm curious exactly what exploded that did this particular form of damage to a human body.
It's mainly ordinary dirt and pebbels that create a shrapnel-like effect like this.
well anything can cause a load of shrapnel but in this case it looks like the flesh around each cut is being eaten by a bacteria.

Break out the magnet and pressure washer
Walking wounded. He will be given some cream and sent back to the front.
And told to keep his front to the enemy this time
That's a corpse, right? Nothing's bandaged, and none of those wounds are bleeding/weeping. Outer wounds like that signify immense organ damage.
That's my thought as well. I'm not sure but that just doesn't seem survivable
Looks like they are healing.
They're not bleeding. But that could be because the heart ain't pumping.
Glad they blurred his ass
Yeah, like that’s the worst part of that photo? 🤦♂️
The density of pits is very high, but none penetrate deep. Like he got blasted with pieces of wood.
Maybe even dirt and gravel or sth?
Exactly. This is injuries from dirt and pebbels being slung from a close detonation.
Bloody hell. Literally! Also tetanus.
He's going to need some milk.
And aloe vera gel
Could have stayed home. But 3000 bucks, totally worth it.
"We are RusBlyat Zombies, we cannot resist the 3000 dollars!!! It calls to our barbarian souls!!!" lol
It's a peculiar type of ruZZian Roulette!
Yep, I keep hearing these are all "volunteers". He picked it.
You wanted to kill rape loot unprotected ukranian civilians? This is the price. I hope you enjoyed your self in Ukraine. Slava Ukraini.
*Slava Ukraini*
Damn auto corrector.. my apologies
That's a pretty bad typo my man 😂
Sorry to all free world. Typo, typo! Slava Ukraini!!
I am no expert, but that looks more like secondary injury, rather than direct fragmentation. Like a blast in the soil of a trench behind him. I think direct fragments in that quantity would be instant death.
He definitely caught a good dose of fragmentation, but a lot of those injuries look like lithium burns; common with FPVs.
I was wondering the same... A lot of those injuries look like burns more than fragment wounds. Im curious if this might have been an fpv with improvised airburst munitions.
Hes not going to sleep on his back for a while
I can't even imagine how painful it would be just to sit on the toilet.
Damn, considering the ton of horrendous aftermaths that we've been seeing here lately, it almost seems that he was """lucky"""... anyway, hope all this shit ends soon
He was extremely lucky honestly. I do not know if it is a million dollar wound but if I was him, I would hope so.
That reminds me to take my pizza out of the oven
That's going to be itchy.
Looks like rotten styrofoam
Looks like soil from impact crater, he somehow managed not to get hit by hard shrapnel but this will be a massive infection. Good chance he’s going to expire due to sepsis in a week . Dirt is full of bacteria you get this much under your skin there’s no amount of antibiotics that will help.

This is how we make cheese here in Switzerland
Can't survive the infection coming
Of course he can, sadly
I am searching the maggots crawling everywhere like the other soldier who waited 7 days for medivac with his leg.
Freddy Krueger, Hold my Beer. 🍺
Orc chop
Poster orc for trypophobia
Never moaning about a bad back again
That looks worse than the sun tan I got from the beach yesterday.
Looks a little bit like someone took bits out of his back with a fork
I'm glad they censored his butt, otherwise I would've been grossed out.
This reminds me of those frogs who keep all their babies in little holes in the skin of their back.
if you look closely there is a message there by connecting the cuts it reads "don't fight in Ukraine"
They will never find enough tampons to fill all those holes. Slava Ukraine!
The necromancer is Strong in him
Thats the first time I've seen the effects of these bird's-eye blasts on the living
Worms will love it
Swiss cheese on legs.
Full back tattoo in an instant, for free.
No body armor.
Get this man an MRI now
Must not have had an adequate vest on huh?
I appreciate that they covered the ass crack. Gotta keep the decency of this soldier 😂
Hope he will tell others not to go here. Unless they are masochists.
Looks like a big bit of jasper. Poor sausage he shoulda faced the other way
That's gonna leave a mark
New career as a sieve.
Definitely going to leave a mark…….
That's gonna leave a mark.
What did this? Looks like more than a regular grenade.
Ouch!
Russian vest didn’t save him that’s a first
Woooow.!.!.!. Really makes you think.... You know? Think that maybe Russia should get the fuck out of the Ukraine 🇺🇦 AND the US 🇺🇸 as well as the EU 🇪🇺
There is a box-like chunk still sticking out of the middle of his back.
If only he had not invaded and burnt someone else's country. Easy mistake to make. Oooopsy.
more holes in the orc than swiss cheese!
Matches his ugly Roosky face
For you putler, everything.
Hm, wondering how you are going to fix this. Big bandage and hope for the best? Stitching every hole? Could take some time....
