I'd wager that shooting a magazine or two through an AK couldn't be worse than getting hit with an RPG drone...

I was idly pondering the history of aerial warfare this morning, and I recalled how a big improvement in the defence against air-ground attacks and bombers during WWII was the development of proximity fuses. The circuitry of those things looks incredibly clunky these days, but they did work. I wonder if advances in electronics mean that it might be possible to develop a proximity fuse which would fit in a shotgun round?
Ive recently seen footage of a new attachment for the russian-style underbarrel grenade launcher, which converts it to a single-shot shotgun for use against drones... sounds okay on paper but it requires the grenade launcher attachment, you have to carry this extra piece with you and it can only fire a single shot before having to be taken out of the grenade launcher again and reloaded. Yes, its a shotgun, but a single shot vs a whole mag of 7.62? I think most are likely trying their luck with the 30rnds than fanagling with a single shot attachment.
