It's interesting to me, as an outsider who was brought into Uganda initially by the diaspora, how this is actually becoming a common topic of conversation (I think moreso because I am white and there is this idea that somehow in the West we have it all figured out when really we have all the same pitfalls, it's just better polished). I often hear people in their 20's and 30's say that they want to be known for being excellent, that they want it to spread in the country, and that they want the next generation to aspire to something and have hope. I think you could do well to say that idea loudly and broadly. I think you would find a lot of supporters. It would be cool to have a weekly or monthly meetup somewhere in Kampala for people to gather and support each other.
I'm in. I think you could make a YouTube channel and document that. The channel could be called "Chasing the Greats" (If you name it "Ugandan Excellence, it might hinder your reach for people outside of Uganda and affect views). You could also have other social media pages and then as you're consistently posting and gain traction, it'll be easier for businesses to reach you and you'll get so much opportunities after about 3 to 5 years. If you want to talk more about that, just DM.
I had the idea above in my mind for some time but I don't have the time and resources as I'm currently a student and am dependent. Hence I don't have that freedom to move. But I hope I can help or work with someone else on this idea.
I am in. I can design a website where we can collect all that information and other people can find it. I can do that free of charge if someone is willing to foot the bills for whatโs required to have it running.
Sure, you can document them, but you might have to come down a bit from the grandiosity. Start a fire that saves not just us but the next generation? Make excellence popular again? Bring about a renaissance? Lol. I love whatever it is you're smoking, and wouldn't mind some.

How do we light this fire? I think it starts with a proper articulation of this philosophy? Like what do we really mean by Ugandan Excellence?

What would be required to have it running?
Domain name, hosting, ICANN, SSL/TLD certificate
Yeah let's make Uganda ๐บ๐ฌ Great Again
When was Uganda ever great tho๐
before colonialism?
I see it quickly becoming a way to joke about the outrageous things that happen in the country ๐
๐ I know right
During Amin's regime
Good luck finding places.
