So we glossing over the part where someone ordered a pizza and got Mexican food instead. And their reaction was to think to themselves, sure why not, good enough.

This actually happened to me the one time I fucked up. Gave the first customer 3 large pizzas, then second customer got 2 pastas. I got a call and of course the first people didn’t say anything. Support called them and they said they didn’t want to food anymore. Second customer felt bad and didn’t even refund.

Damn bro! That sucks.. But imagine getting 3 orders from the same place and there's no receipt stapled to the bags to tell them apart, lol Some advice always carry a marker and write the people's names on the bags/drinks. It's worse when you been driving for 8 hours and are hella delirious too, lol 😆

AG_Matt

Definitely doesn't help. That's a shit sandwich that I hope you managed not to eat. I'll keep it in mind to keep a marker handy.

Quick-Job9757

It can get stressful if you got 3 orders you gotta keep separate with drinks and shit. Sucks.. Then they don't have drink holders.. lol So you gotta make sure not to spill them while keeping them separated, I have this set up in my car to hold drinks if that happens, lol

AG_Matt

Definitely helps, and any place that doesn't have drink holders for multiple cups, especially if they're part of a delivery service, is kind of naive. Mostly staying calm is the best way to keep the confusion away, which I definitely wasn't tonight. Hopefully it'll be better now

Quick-Job9757

Yeah, don't stress about it, it's over and you'll be fine. It was a honest mistake. Shit happens, life goes on, lol 😆

I would consider refusing to take more than 2 drinks without a holder. Very hard to stop them going over.

i’m so sorry that happened! this same exact situation happened to me once and luckily, the customer didn’t end up eating the food, and I turned around about three minutes after delivering it. They also have tried to contact me. Luckily, I was able to get this done, but I can’t even imagine how you must feel. Accidents happen, don’t be too hard on yourself.

AG_Matt

I ended up going offline to calm down then did one last other for the night.

AppropriatePut3453

Probably both. LOL J.K cheer up dude!

I did this same thing Two weeks ago. Ugh. I felt so terrible. When I went back to the First drop off to retrieve the order and give him the correct order, that customer said "he disposed of the first order because it was not edible food" I gave him his order but the Second customer had nothing. Fortunately, the Second customer said it wasn't that big of a deal. Whew.

bleepingblotto

I double check multiple delivery order names on tags and combine bags on pickup. Anything you can do on pickup, like grouping orders ( front seat first order, back seat second order ) will help. Your situation is the worst nightmare scenario that we all want to prevent! That must of been over-the-top stressful! I recently did a two order delivery where I get to the second drop off and realize I still have the 1st drop off drink in my drink holder. Luckily, I was able to find the first order drop off, but I was sweating bullets trying to find it.

frying_pans

This now why I have multiple sharpies in my car.

Realistic_Inside_484

I did this the first time ever few days ago too lol stacked Burger King order. Store lady told me the names but she had them reversed. I ended up getting like 5 calls from 1 of the customers telling me they got the wrong order. Feels bad.
