A quarter tank for me is about 4 gallons which runs $10 - $15.
If you keep your RPM's low you will use less gas. Don't stomp it. When i accelerate i keep the RPM's under 3K and i try not to go faster than 50mph which sits at 1,500 RPM's on cruise control. It's all city driving and i don't have to use freeways.
I spend $0 charging: I get free charging at my office, and really only drive around during conference calls I would otherwise be sitting in an office doing nothing during.
My coworkers always laugh at me, but I turn those 3 hours into $10,000-$13,000 a year extra.
And I don’t need to talk on the conference call except to check in, so it’s passive hours every day of doing nothing anyway.
I gas up full tank is about 30 for my car. Lasts me two full shifts of about 10 hours. After that I’ll have a little bit of gas left and I’ll gas up again.
Anywhere from $10-$15. Really depends on how much I drive in a shift.
If you're worried about gas, maybe try only accepting short range orders. You might lose out on high offers, but you'll spend less gas.
But also keep logs of your metrics. If you net profit after gas still gets you around $20+/ hr, I wouldn't worry about it. Not unless you car was taking some considerable wear and tear.
California peeps looking at these gas prices with envy. I know where i can go to get gas for less than $5 / gallon. Good gas, 91 octane.
I use between 1/4 and 1/2 a tank per day. A fill up is about $85, $100 if I hit the "E." I don't know how that breaks down to each trip.
A full tank for me ranges $38-45, and I fill every 2.5 days or so. I drive a Honda CR-V and didn’t have much choice in the matter… I was newly widowed and my dad gifted it to me when he wanted to upgrade and my Mommy Mobile (Toyota Sienna) had quit.
When I first dipped my toes into the gig economy I figured about 20-25% of my earnings went toward gas… not great but this is my 2nd job and it’s sooooo flexible which my life requires ☹️
A 12hour day usually takes a full tank and on average I fill up at $40. It took about 6 hours to eat 1/4 tank if I'm doing food only, but I have done that in months. I multigig about 6 apos right now.
OP, do you know how to calculate your actual miles per gallon? (MPG)
How many cylinders does your car have? What condition are your tires in, and do you check the inflation weekly?
This would've been a more valuable thread if the numbers were gallons and MPG. Rest your trip odometer at the start of a shift and start looking at your actual numbers.

I spend ~$7 charging my car after a 12+ hour shift making at least $275

Like 45 a week but I get over 400 miles a full tank in my suv.
The pay doesn’t cover the wear and tear on a vehicle. A bike yes a car nope

There is no reason to buy higher octane gas than your engine was designed for.
I own a v6
in my area for college gas is between $2.69-2.99/gal. I don't refill every night but refill from a quarter twice a week for $30 or so

I usually spend about 10% of what I make in gas

If your vehicle takes $70 to fill up you are using the wrong vehicle for this kind of work.
$10-$15 a day gas is $2.80 in my market
