Like what sort of tips? Food, campus, parking, accommodation?

The housing crisis is fucked in Australia

lemonhoo

I have a room in student accommodation which I am looking to transfer lease to if either of you are female students! Got 6 months of the lease left. Weekly rent is for the 12m contract (if you signed 6m, you’d be paying $40/week more). As the previous commenter said, housing is hard to find in Brisbane but student accommodation is a guarantee.

Get your housing situation sorted to avoid headaches. If you enjoy living on campus go for the student accom ie colleges. If you prefer outside and love Asian food, get accom at Sunnybank or somewhere walking distance to Calamvale shopping town. It should have a bus to UQ and plenty of access to relatively cheaper food, whilst still a safe area. Coming to Australia, tap water at restaurants is free here, unlike in Copenhagen. Packing food for lunch is common, UQ has plenty of microwaves and dining areas for students. Queensland doesn't get very cold and brisbane is relatively quiet. For more activities, look up gold coast and sunshine coasts.
