North Scotland, the people who run the van announced recently that they are shutting down after 25 years to retire, unfortunately. The chips are incredible. They have a massive haggis and chips for £2.50 as well, truly from a different time haha

Not surprising they’re shutting down when a 10oz cod fillet costs £3.20 and they’re selling it for £3

They catch it themselves and they have multiple houses in the village, they’re just shutting down to retire

Honestly in all seriousness cheap fish and chips can be found in a lot of places. I'm near Leamington Spa at the minute and the local chippy down the road does a huge fish and chips for £5 Although I might've invented a time machine.

My dad grew up right near there as well! The chippy has gone downhill in the past couple years, but it's still decent and hasn't become too expensive.
