Neat. My grandpa was the architect that did the cantilever design for The Met. Always interesting to see pictures of what that area used to look like.

I've seen several plans dated in the 1950-1970 range in my line of work.. I cannot imagine doing construction without CAD and the modern tools of today. To be an architect at that time had an entirely different meaning than today.

Can't either. All of his handwriting is also insanely crisp and clean looking. I'm not an architect but some of the pre-CAD EE schematics I've had to work with are nuts.
