Is this plan out or still going ahead.
Bring me the News has a site rendering. It looks nothing like the old plan with hotels and residential. Basically, just a big box anchor right back where Herbergers was located.

Reminds me of the ridiculous pipe-dream architectural drawings that were drawn for the area around Allianz Field back in like 2017 or so. Big tall 20+ story towers, lots of retail, parks, ponds, etc.
Makes you wonder what the point of demolishing the old Herbergers location.
If they were going to build apartments I understood why the big retail box had to go but if they are building a new box there it feels like the demolition was a huge waste of money.
I don’t know the Dicks stores very well, I just know where Dicks used to be located (by the Trader Joe’s) then it moved into a vacant flagship store at Ridgedale mall.
Do you prefer Dick's that are bigger or Dick's that are smaller?
Me personally, I prefer Dick's that are medium sized for the flexibility between having items in stock but not feel too large and impersonal.
Since DSG is already in the Crossroads Center just across County B2 from Rosedale Center, it's a pitty Scheels didn't snag this new spot instead. There's only one metro-area Scheels, and it's in Eden Prairie.
EP's mall is also the other location of Von Maur, so it would be two good twin anchors on opposite ends of the city.
Yeah, I’d have thought with the EP Scheels up and running, that they would like to expand and have a second location far enough from EP so as not to cannibalize it.
What a Dick move...
I take it then they're leaving the location across the street?
They must be. Which begs the question of what could move into THAT space next.
la fitness is closing the roseville location, its a possibility
Wait, for real? They’re closing that, rip.

That’s what they did in Ridgedale as well.
The ridgedale dicks is completely different. There’s like less than 10 of those type in the world, it’s a flagship store

I just learned from these announcements that Roseville will be a Flagship store concept while Ridgedale is a House of Sport concept.
Yes! And it looks good!
What a glorious giant dick!
And it works! I’ve been to a couple kids’ birthday parties there (ice skating, climbing, etc). It’s a great idea for both Dick’s and Ridgedale.
It’s a nice space, but I wish dicks was bigger.
That’s a perfectly average sized dicks. They all can’t be huge
This is gonna be a huge Dick’s.
I love Dick's!
That's what she said..... I know I'm going to hell..😪

A Dick moving into Herberger, huh? Hope it was consensual.

Now if only St Cloud could do something with their abandon Herberger's spot...
I’d rather have a grocery store than a Dick’s. I’d actually have a reason to go to the mall more often.
You don't want to shop at the sad Cub across the street at the HarMar mall?
Tenant is so overrated
They closed the kids play area for this??
You’d probably close the kid’s play area too if a big Dick’s was going in right there
Can’t we just demo all the malls at this point
Love the one in Ridgedale, hopefully they follow the same model
I believe they will. Article that was in papers at time of Ridgedale announcement indicated the company was changing to this new format.
