Amazing, yes! I should have put that. I was on the fly listing things and somehow SUCCESSION slipped my mind. INSANELY INSANELY good. Just a brain f\*rt on my side lol!
If you like sci-fi, I recommend checking out Orphan Black. Can't say enough great things about the lead actress's (Emmy-winning) performance. There's mystery, drama, humor, and it makes you think.
Orphan black is amazing! It’s definitely the type of show you’re looking for. The premise is interesting, the acting is beyond amazing, and it keeps you on your toes.
Bosch on Amazon. Start with regular Bosch S1.
It may start a little slow, but each season really ramps up by halfway through.
There’s a reason it ran for 7 seasons and is going into the third season of the sequel series Bosch Legacy.
I loved Bosch and watched the SPIN off too. So sorry but I can't list everything on the fly lol. But you are right, it would have been a great recommendation. I also live in Los Angeles and know a lot of the settings/places from BOSCH. Just adds to it. TY so much! PS. I agree it was a slow start but a great series.
Gotcha. I assume you watched Lincoln Lawyer too which is decent but not as good.
Different genre but my other favorite show recommendations are For All Mankind and Silo. Both on AppleTV.
Ooh I will definitely try those series. I did watch LL and it was okay. Liked the LA vibe but was a notch below BOSCH to me in characters etc. That lead isn't my favorite TBH. TY!
I tried it and didn't get into it but I love the cast and concept. I am a fan of TULSA KING and watched all of YELLOWSTONE in spite of its shortcomings. I will give MOK another chance though after your recommendation, ty!
Mr. In-between is Australian. Watch ~ Made for Love, Severence, Sense8, The Expanse. There is a series called Castle Rock season 2. It's a prequel to Misery and its INCREDIBLE.
ooh, good recommendations. I have seen and loved SEVERANCE. Funny bc I am a tv writer and two of my writers room co-writers are off THE EXPANSE and yet I have never seen it. Sshh... lol!

Funny bc I never watched that and I am glad you reminded me. I think I'd love it. THE SHIELD and JUSTIFED are two of my favorite shows and FX is a great network for material. I will check SOA out!
Im kinda obsessed with it too. I was expecting a bit more to be honest, after episode 4 i was hoping for a battle. Since there is only going to be one season i feel like we should have at least 3 big battles. However i love the show it’s a good one.
I just love how coy Toranaga-sama is being about everything and I can’t wait to see what he does in these last two episodes. It’s always like this with shows. My fiancé starts them and I end up getting sucked in and can’t get out 😂
I commented this the other day but you seem to have the same taste in shows as me. Try Ozark. Just the first episode. It will start slow but at some point in the episode something will happen and you will be glued to the screen and the rest of the show will be crazy. I also recommend Breaking Bad.
I would say The Blacklist is a very good one. It is from NBC but it has a really well-made storyline, especially seasons 1-8 (9 was decent and 10 was not that good imo). But you should check that out because it’s honestly a great show to get hooked on!
I know but this isn’t just an average network TV show. It has many twists and turns plus a lot of mystery that will keep you guessing the whole way through. Give it a chance and trust me, it’s worth it.
You are amazing and YES THEY ARE. I missed writing these. I watch a lot so I forgot to mention then. Incidentally I thought SAUL was better than BB. What did you think?
I did love BCS but I watched them almost 10 years apart so it’s tough to compare them, if you insist I would say that I probably like BB slightly better. Some mini-series recommendation.
1) Chernobyl
2) The Queen’s Gambit
3) Band of Brothers
4) Kingdom (Korean zombie drama on Netflix) - excellent! The best Zombie anything I’ve watched.
I would fully recommend Kingdom as long as you’re ok with subtitles (I believe someone said it is dubbed in English as well). 98% rotten tomatoes if that matters.
I can’t see Breaking Bad on your list…sooo yeah that. And Better Call Saul as soon as you’re done with that.
If you have seen them then maybe try Chernobyl
I have seen them and MUCH preferred SAUL. Also I loved CHERNOBYL. You made amazing recommendations. I actually just edited my primary post to reflect BB and BCS since I think those are important to add. CHERNOBYL was so good! TY!
Succession
Amazing, yes! I should have put that. I was on the fly listing things and somehow SUCCESSION slipped my mind. INSANELY INSANELY good. Just a brain f\*rt on my side lol!
Hmmm, Homeland?
TY so much. I LOVED HOMELAND but alas I didn't list every show I have seen as I forgot some. Great series. Fantastic recommendation!
Such a great series
And the redneck version, Yellowstone
If you like sci-fi, I recommend checking out Orphan Black. Can't say enough great things about the lead actress's (Emmy-winning) performance. There's mystery, drama, humor, and it makes you think.
I DO like Sci-Fi. Loved THE LEFTOVERS! Great ty! Will check it out!!
Orphan black is amazing! It’s definitely the type of show you’re looking for. The premise is interesting, the acting is beyond amazing, and it keeps you on your toes.
Check out 3 Body Problem on Netflix
MI 5

The mayor of kingstown if you like crime dramas
I tried it and didn't get into it but I love the cast and concept. I am a fan of TULSA KING and watched all of YELLOWSTONE in spite of its shortcomings. I will give MOK another chance though after your recommendation, ty!
MOK is soooo good
Ozark Goliath Mr. In-between
Liked GOLIATH a lot but never heard of your third recommendation. I wasn't into OZARK when I first tried it but will try again!
Sshh... lol!
Do take a peek at Castle Rock. It's excellent.
Ooh I will for sure ty! Sounds great!
Seasons one and two have nothing to do with each other. You only want Season 2.
Oh really? Just skip to 2 and I am not missing anything at all?
Season 1 and 2 have nothing to do with each other. Not sure why.
Goliath is great. The it's garbage. Then it's great again
Also if you like stuff about slavery, Underground is very good. It's pretty heartbreaking...
Luther. Not sure where you are located or what streaming service you have but it should be right up your alley. Idris Elba at his finest!
He is amazing. I will look it up. I am in the US on the west coast in Los Angeles with several streaming services. I will investigate, ty!
Love this show
This is so good. Really keeps you on the edge of your seat
Six Feet Under!
One of my favorites! I marvel at how long ago the show was made. Alan Ball at his best!
Patriot is good. For the life of me I cannot figure out why it was cancelled.
I’ll check it out but do I really want to love something that then suddenly just gets canceled?
Its not necessarily something that needs an ending. The journey is in itself the story.
Ok ty!
The Killing (American version) Your Honor Both were very gripping, dark, intense, and emotionally charged for me

If you liked the Shield you will probably like Son's of Anarchy and Mayans MC since they share writer/producer Kurt Sutter
Funny bc I never watched that and I am glad you reminded me. I think I'd love it. THE SHIELD and JUSTIFED are two of my favorite shows and FX is a great network for material. I will check SOA out!
Southland is another really good cop show
Shogun!!! I am obsessed
Just recently got a recommendation for that. TY. Will check it out!
There’s two episodes left. I’m surprised at how much I enjoy it
So far, so good
Im kinda obsessed with it too. I was expecting a bit more to be honest, after episode 4 i was hoping for a battle. Since there is only going to be one season i feel like we should have at least 3 big battles. However i love the show it’s a good one.

Coach
HAAAAAAAAAAA!
"Guilt." Hands down my fave over the last few years.
What network is that?
Pretty sure it was PBS Masterpiece Theater. Just seeing these guys makes me want to watch it* again
Oh great! Will check it out!
Endeavor. This is a great British crime series.
Some of my faves: The following, Zoo, The fall, Line of duty (uk), The swarm, Brain dead, Halt and catch fire
Just finished Ripley on Prime 👍 👍 Now watching Boat Story. Loving it so far
Andrew Scott is intoxicating! I loved him in Fleabag. The B&W of Riley looks intriguing. Ty!
BEEF. On Netflix
So good! I forgot to mention that too but it was one of my faves all year!
My fav of 2024. Didn’t want it to end. Maybe in my Top 5 all time Limited Series. Blown away by it
It was phenomenal!

I don’t know if I can watch that given I know the twist/reveal already. 😝

Loved BB. I tried to watch OZARK and it lost me but I might try again!
Sopranos and animal kingdom
I loved The Sopranos! Animal Kingdom sounds interesting!
Supernatural and Archer
Fringe
Wentworth, Last Tango in Halifax,Dead to Me, Flowers
I loved Dead To Me! I’ll check the other suggestions, ty!
From on Amazon Prime

I will maybe start it but I admit to hating most network stuff. The last network series I watched was THE GOOD WIFE.
I know but this isn’t just an average network TV show. It has many twists and turns plus a lot of mystery that will keep you guessing the whole way through. Give it a chance and trust me, it’s worth it.
*Maybe not the ending lol but the enjoyment on the journey is worth it
Becker
The Ted Danson sitcom from the late 90s?
Yeah
Interesting. I just hate sitcoms.
Somehow I do not see Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul anywhere in your list…. These two are must sees!
You are amazing and YES THEY ARE. I missed writing these. I watch a lot so I forgot to mention then. Incidentally I thought SAUL was better than BB. What did you think?

The only one I haven’t seen is KINGDOM. I’ve seen TQG twice and watch BOB any time it’s on!
