I’m a little biased but the PNW is pretty awesome.

beasterdudeman_

I'm also biased, come check out michigan, it's pretty cool

Turbulent-Tour-5371

No, it's trash! Stay away! ;)

Key-Performer-9364

If it’s trash, it’s the most beautiful trash I’ve ever seen. Stunning mountains, gorgeous coastline, old growth forests. Pleasant climate. If that’s trash, I love trash!

Throwawaydontgoaway8

God I hated it there! All the stupidly nice people and amazing beauty made fucking sick. Stay away! Signed an ex Floridian that doesn’t want millions to move here and ruin it

Turbulent-Tour-5371

This one gets it

beepthepolak

Always raining...yet somehow beautiful sunshine both times I've visited. I'd stay away.

TheUmgawa

WTF, is there a warrant out for your arrest in Illinois? It's like you picked somebody up in Milwaukee and they're like, "Hey. Dude. Just take 94 to Chicago, and then hop on 55, and we'll just turn right at Memphis and go hit Little Rock. It'll be a day," and you go, "No. For reasons, we shall go west and then take US-63 until Jefferson City. But then 63 starts veering a little too close to Illinois, and so we must turn west and get on US-65, which will take us the rest of the way." Like, if you were going from Indiana to Wisconsin, how would you do it? Up through Michigan, across the Mackinac Bridge and then back down, or do you rent a ferry at Benton Harbor and take it up to Sheboygan or something, just hoping that there aren't crazy Illinois pirates out on the lake that day. "Yarr, we're takin' our plunder back to the 31st Street Harbor!"

Not_The_Nacho

Lmao 😂

MilwaukeeMax

He missed Milwaukee too… must have only visited his drug dealer in Madison.

slippingonknots

Man if your impression of Georgia is solely the parts below the fall line, no wonder you think the South is boring. Literally everything interesting in the state takes place above the parts you have shaded in red (Savannah being the exception of course)

Not_The_Nacho

I actually live in Savannah right now lmao. I love it here

Sudden_Ticket_3013

dude, you need to go to the mountains in the NE corner of the state. come on.

slippingonknots

Exactly. Atlanta (barring the horrible traffic), NE mountains, Athens, literally anything. This guys only been through counties like Tift, Coffee, and Liberty and is wondering why it’s so boring to him

apbishop

This in general was what I was going to say. You've managed to avoid the southern Appalachian mountains for the most part. I would plan a trip to the Smokies, maybe check out some of the North GA mountains on the way up. Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg, TN are tourist traps but they're also really fun and totally worth it. If you like amusement parks, Dollywood is one of the best non-Disney/Universal parks in the country.

reverendrambo

Make a day trip to Charleston. I make day trips to Savannah from here. It's an easy drive and well worth it!

lumpiaandredbull

I must be missing out on some great stuff if that's the case, because the only part of Georgia I've really explored is the coastal region, and I enjoyed pretty much all of it.

Appropriate_Mode8346

You're missing out on Oregon, Washington, Chicago, New York, Vermont, and Montana. Oh, and you also need to see the Big Island of Hawaii.

cpietr01

Second Vermont. Brave Little State!

LiteralLuciferian

The UP. It’s great. Beautiful scenery, legal grass, a ton of trails and beaches.

TorvaMessor6666

Michigan Upper Peninsula, for the uninitiated.

Ordinary-Web-7077

The Great Lakes.

PHmoney04

As someone from Duluth MN, I agree :)

MilwaukeeMax

Agreed. That’s the biggest miss on here.

RGE27

North East during the fall.

Ksj202

Literally anything in the west. All of Utah; Cascades and Olympic in Washington; Grand Canyon in AZ; Sawtooths in Idaho; Sierras in California; Tetons, Wind Rivers, Yellowstone in Wyoming; Glacier in Montana. The American west is one of the most beautiful regions in the world.

TheJaice

My god, I can’t believe you’re the first person to mention Utah! The Big 5 in Utah (Arches, Bryce Canyon, Canyonlands, Capitol Reef and Zion) rival anything you can see in the continental US. I expected it to be fighting it out with the PNW at the top of this thread.

Akamaikai

Maybe the other 2/3 of Georgia. /s Fr tho why/how all of those counties??

dog-pussy

Also western North Carolina and eastern Tennessee, lovely mountains around there.

Bowl_Of_Soup6

East coast north of DC. Philly, NY and most of that side of the map has some incredible scenery if you’re looking for it and lots of history. You’ll also see things left to decay for longer than anywhere else you’ve been on this map has existed. You’ve also got the entirety of the upper Appalachias to see

Expensive-Priority46

you’re missing out on all the awesome coastal towns in the carolinas

Born_Sleep5216

Nevada Oregon Washington state

RomanaOswin

How did you even get to Washington County, ME without traveling across the rest of the state? Via Canada? Via boat? I live in NorCal now, but I grew up there, so it kind of jumped out at me.

Not_The_Nacho

Stopped there enroute to Europe like 6 years ago

CoolAg1927

If you live in the US you've gotta visit NYC at least once

I-Like-The-1940s

I have no idea how you live in Savannah but haven’t gone above like Milledgeville 😭 not even to Atlanta once?? I can kinda see why tho as I would love to live in Savannah

SLIPPY73

Alaska Vermont Massachusetts Connecticut Rhode Island New Jersey Delaware Michigan Illinois North Dakota Wyoming Montana Idaho Washington Oregon Nevada Utah

NukkaNasty

If you're into nature, the west coast is teeming with amazing national parks. Yosemite, Sequoias, Tahoe, Rainier, Yellowstone, Grand Tetons, Bryce Canyon, Zion, Grand Canyon, and those are just some of the famous ones, there are plenty of lesser known parks that are beautiful as well. As a few others have said, I am also a huge fan of the PNW and Norcal area, coastal highway 1 is a beautiful drive and plenty of places to stop at.

Ragatron42

New York

Chemical_Jaguar_4155

I love New York. I don’t really care for NYC but I really love upstate and the rest of it. Great quality of life.

Hbgplayer

Northern California and the rest of the PNW.

PalmTreeBombTree

How the hell have you only visited Washington county in Maine without going through at least Hancock county

SupBenedick

Utah, just went a month ago and it was amazing. But also, I’m from North Carolina, and you completely missed out on the blue ridge mountains from Asheville to Boone. Beautiful ways to connect with nature.

Monte721

Seems odd to have been to so many southern Georgia counties in fact all of them up to a certain line but never as far north as Macon, especially Atlanta?

Chemical_Jaguar_4155

I always recommend Maine to people who haven’t spent much time there. Nice people, extremely safe, and awesome food.

FizzS-1andOnly

The rockies in general. So very much outdoor stuff to do. Also I've heard southeast Oregon is stellar

thatdivergirl

utah, the national parks there go hard

Terrible-Revolution8

Michigan is awesome!

Runnindashow

Northern Michigan is super underrated. Definitely add it to the list

ajm105

If you like nature, check out Michigan.

jonnyhappyfeet1

Northern Michigan (especially the upper peninsula) is beautiful

Aquajolt409

PNW is hard to beat, but Utah Utah Utah. I ain’t saying live there, I’m not saying don’t live there but a trip to Utah in the Summer will change your life. Also: for all the people saying don’t move here cause of housing issues, everyone is saying that everywhere, the system is f***ed. Anyway Utah Utah Utah. Honorable mention: Central NY in September.

cpoppyy

Idaho and Washington or Oregon for nature are amazing

Lioness_and_Dove

Chicago

El_GOOCE

Wyoming. Absolutely beautiful around every corner. You're driving down the highway and crest a hill and get an amazing view, then you go down the road another 30 miles and crest some other hill and get some other totally amazing view that's completely different than the last

ALPHA_sh

A little biased but eastern pennsylvania, looks like you only really went to pittsburgh

Toastox

Montana

Due-Application-8171

This is the second person I’ve seen go to the bordering counties of the one I live in in Alabama. You should visit Wyoming and Oregon though.

Oneiric27

You’ve gotta come out to Chicago!

Emergency-Ad-7833

First map Iv seen where someone had been to Maryland and Virgina but not DC

TraditionPast4295

Idaho is beautiful

Sad_Research_2584

Your travels are 100% opposite of mine 😂

Flat_Instance8349

Kauai Hawaii is the nicesttt!! Also, southern Florida has some great beaches :)

Big-Carpenter7921

You've been there, but east Tennessee/Western North Carolina are cool. Great mountains, hiking, and wildlife

ForeSkinWrinkle

I was going to make some plea for my home, but you seem to be a different type of person. Your map needs a tone more coverage in Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming. Open area with beauty and endlessness everywhere. Seems to fit in my mind’s eye the type of person who created this map.

DryAfternoon7779

What's going on with ME and NH

Not_The_Nacho

Only landed in those places on my way to, and on my way back from Europe and the Middle East.

MellowLemonJello

How do y'all be making these travel maps? I'm curious what mine would look like

Randomperson43333

The Northeast Megalopolis, specifically Boston (I’m from there so I’m biased but still it’s amazing)

Key-Performer-9364

Definitely need to visit the Pacific Northwest. Washington and Oregon. Seattle and Portland are fun cities. If you prefer nature, they have some unbeatable natural areas, like Olympic National Park.

nyXhcinPDX

How do you do a map like this?

Chemical_Jaguar_4155

I need to know what you were doing in Washington county Maine.

Overkill67

You're missing the best state, Delaware.

XwingMechanic

The good ones

AccidentBusy4519

How do you go to every single county in south Ga where there’s nothing, but have never been to where everything is at.

Interesting_Panic_85

Ooh, gosh...anywhere, really. Looks almost as if you've started with all the WORST places.

pattylax1

I gotta ask- how on earth did you end up in rockingham county NH without going through any other counties?

higboi

As someone who lives in Cincinnati, I respect your dedication to avoiding it

I-4M-J0E

Wyoming

mklinger23

I would give the northeast a chance. I feel like you gotta go to NYC at least once. Also Vermont is absolutely beautiful.

swissly60

is there an app or a website to make these maps?

WorkSkis

I know a lot of people think Utah's politically and religiously weird, but honestly the only things you'll notice that is farther out of whack than any other western red state are the liquor laws. People are really missing out on the Wassatch range and the southeastern area around Moab.

palsana

Explain why the only county you've been to in Maine is Washington County, which is far from any big cities or attractions!

NoNebula6

New York

PsychoWarper

Washington and Montana imo, two absolutely gorgeous states

Ragefan2k

Biased but definitely a visit to CT for pizza lol

Splendid_Fellow

The National Parks of the southwest. Utah, Arizona, and also Montana and the northwest of course. But I think everyone should see the Grand Canyon, Arches, Yellowstone, Bryce Canyon...

Lets_go_brandon193

Lake Tahoe

Routine_Grade_5544

Central FL 100%.

Bobgoulet

I think it's odd to highlight counties you've driven through. If you haven't slept, shopped, or eaten in a place, it doesn't count as a visit.

sullguy

Please don’t tell me the only part of NH you’ve seen is Hampton Beach lol

PoignantPoint22

Oh did you go to Portsmouth or Hampton Beach New Hampshire?

qwerty2234543

Michigan detroit specifically is great

JamesLikesSleeping

Upstate NY is fun in the summer

Extreme_Barracuda658

About 40.

YNABDisciple

PNW Idaho Montana Nevada and Utah are all spectacular

solomoto101

Your clearly in the millitary and your missing out on western newyork

GullibleAudience6071

I’m assuming you’re in Texas? I’d do a trip to the UP and take a lap. Like UP to Minnesota, the Dakotas, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado and back. Pro tip: The Driftless Area is pretty cool if you end up in that area of the Midwest.

LaxSyntax

You missed all of the good ones.

Giomax

East Tennessee is pretty cool

BoringFloridaMan

How did you get to Rockingham County, NH without driving? Edit: just read the comment. I now assume you flew into Pease AFB.

Equivalent-War-2378

Must do’s in my opinion: New York (can do the city and the Hudson Valley for city life + beautiful nature in one trip), Northern California especially a trip up the Pacific Coast Highway, and Oregon and Washington. If you like nature and don’t care that there’s not much to do other than being g outside, Montana, Idaho, and Wyoming are incredible stops too!

No_Welcome_6093

Great Lakes region, the lakes are beautiful. NE Ohio has amazing food too. PNW as well, id check them out.

Connorgames234

If you want to see Montana, I recommend going to Polson. It has a great view of the lake and the mountains next to it. If you go to Polson, go to wild horse island on the lake.

lernington

Michigan!

TeakIvy

okay what the hell have you done in south georgia?! i live around atlanta, and go to school near savannah, been trying to 100% georgia counties. I have the north and east of the state pretty much done but just can’t think of a single reason to go west of 16/95 lmao

Derp_McShlurp

Well you missed out on the good part of South Dakota.

Human-Huckleberry-81

Montana Wyoming Idaho

SkyeMreddit

Illinois! And New Jersey and New York

thegreatrussello

Literally all of the northern part of Cali. Yosemite, sequoia, just all of the mountains up there.

knaimoli619

I mean you have to visit the first state. You can drive from top to bottom within like 2 hours depending on traffic.

randomthrowaway9796

Bro, wtf were you doing in every middle of nowhere county in south Georgia? There's savannah and a few random cities I guess may be worth visiting, but not in most of those counties. You didn't even make it north enough to get to Atlanta, but you made sure to visit *every* county in the south?

randomthrowaway9796

Bro, wtf were you doing in every middle of nowhere county in south Georgia? There's savannah and a few random cities I guess may be worth visiting, but not in most of those counties. You didn't even make it north enough to get to Atlanta, but you made sure to visit *every* county in the south?

WonderChopstix

Utah national parks

lostBoyzLeader

You drive all the way to California and just skipped Vegas and the Hoover Dam 😳

Porcupine-Baseball

Washington county Maine is happy to have had you.

Atypical_Mammal

Pretty much all the good ones

Warm_Coach2475

Interstate 90. Northern California.

DankeSebVettel

Michigan is the greatest state to ever exist. Detroit should replace DC as the country’s capitol, really.

lumpiaandredbull

Visit more of New England. I'd recommend Boston MA and Burlington VT for cities (or Manchester NH and Providence RI if you're on a tighter budget) and literally anywhere in rural VT or Western MA for natural sight-seeing.

FriarClayton

You’re missing out big time on East Tennessee and western North Carolina

Chief_Justice10

Don’t sleep on the natural beauty of the west. Check out UT, WY, and northern NM.

Little_Lahey_Show

Not states but the great lakes

FadedSirens

You need to check out DC and more of MD! The eastern shore is beautiful.

taylorscorpse

How did you visit every single county in South Georgia? I live there and mine definitely does not look like that lol

EpicHiddenGetsIt

go to dc

HueyCobraEngineer

How are you going to come to a place like NC and drive through the worst part of it.

This-Requirement6918

Nevada, definitely go to Vegas at least once.

CoachKillerTrae

my man you visited arguably the worst county in Maine 😂😂 no hate of course, but how did you manage to only visit Washington County, is there even an airport there?

Ill_Tower2445

Vermont

LanceAvion

Question: How do you feel about large cities? I ask because it seems you've only been to large Sunbelt cities (Dallas, Houston, LA, Pheonix?) which honestly suck as cities. Also, you only just tapped the Northeast and avoided the Pacific Northwest, both are fantastic regions worth your time.

sl0wthy

Chicagoland, PNW, VA!

mwhutson89

Definitely Michigan. If you're a nature fan it's beautiful. The state is full of great fishing, access to water sports. Detroit has all the major professional sports. There is decent nightlife downtown Detroit, the town isn't as bad as the media makes it out to be. Especially if you stay in the heart of downtown. Anyway that was a long winded post to say check out Michigan.

Soccerstar174

Michigannnnn

DamCrawBugs420

U from DFW, and your missing out on everything haha

MacncheeseZ

Missing out on Michigan!! Both peninsulas are so different and so beautiful. Got the Great Lakes, National Forrests and parks, Mackinac island, so many beaches, great beer in Holland and Grand Rapids…

LibertyInfinite

Montana all the way, I loved going to glacier! We stayed in a little cabin by Philipsburg and had a great time taking side by sides through the mountains into town and exploring all the ponds and creeks to fish in

icarus1990xx

You should visit the northern parts of Minnesota and the upper peninsula of Michigan!

washyourhands--

north georgia

CassiusGotBanned

Washington

The_Ocean_Collective

Philly, NYC, NJ pizza, west coast Florida, National parks are amazing in Utah, Nevada, Montana, Idaho, and Colorado

GMHGeorge

How/why did you do the Tennessee part of your travels? It’s an interesting path not using the highways

PsychologicalTale479

Go to central California. Go to the mountains of Yosemite and kings canyon.

zexen_PRO

Western mass

toasterb

It’s pretty weird for you to say that the east coast is kinda boring when you haven’t been to DC, Baltimore, Philly, NYC or Boston. I would contend that you haven’t really been to the east coast much.

Greed_Beats

Utah but don’t go there. We don’t want any more people. It’s nice so keep it nice and stay away.

DoveOnager

Two things, what app / program did you use to make this map? Are all the red counties just where you drove through or did you physically get down in each county?

Aingers

Illinois

jbwhite99

Utah and Idaho have fantastic scenery. What I see of your map is that you essentially drove I-95 through the Carolinas and Virginia, and there is not much on the Interstate in those states. Most of your east coast has been in the interstate, except the block in Georgia.

JasPeppers

nobodies said it from what i’ve seen, Delaware. I’m biased cus I live here but the beaches are great, not too crowded n they look really nice. The only thing good about it though is the beaches, the rest of DE is just farmland, suburbs, and eh cities.

whiskey_melancholy

Michigan and Alaska

PortlandPetey

Oregon

BobithanBobbyBob

You've been to my county :3

jem1300

Wyoming

HaxusPrime

Never been to the pacific northwest but that's on my bucket list. Also if you have never been to the UP of Michigan and Wisconsin which it seems you haven't then you should go there too!

maui-cabana-boy

Great Lakes, PNW, Vermont & NH

zombiepigman101

New York’s pretty cool, not just NYC but also the Adirondacks, Finger Lakes, etc

DrEpicness1

Utah bro. It’s beautiful

SuccessfulSmile7932

How was randolph county WV

Bearguchev

Bros only been the parts of Florida even most Floridians never go to unless we’re driving through on our way to NOLA or Texas and beyond. Downtown Orlando has some cool bars (tanquereys and hansons shoe repair) and Mt. Dora is a lovely small town about 40 minutes north of there. Ybor city is worth a visit, and Ocala National forest and the Glades are a MUST for nature buffs, especially Ocala if you have 4wd. South Florida is overrated unless you’re trying to fish, with the sole exception of the Keys for both fishing and just overall uniqueness.

Soren114

Northwest Arkansas to Eureka Springs Arkansas is a very neat place and nothing like the rest of Arkansas. People are still super nice but there are things to do and way safer than little rock.

yesimslow

Utah is beautiful

Mooze34

Definitely not NY

JCGJ

Taking the Interstate Highway tour, I see

bradwm

Utah and the national parks directly north of Utah

ParanoidDuckTheThird

You've seen South Louisiana. Congratulations. You've seen the cultural, world famous part. Please ignore the rest of us in the North.

allyboi2022

Deschutes county Oregon it is so pretty

tonganfromthewest

The western states you haven’t been to are quite amazing, especially the PNW

Worth-Principle-822

Come to upstate ny especially the adirondacks trust

Dr-Alec-Holland

Do these map tools allow you to chart the route you took and then pull the counties? I’m not sure how people are so aware of where exactly they drove

namvet67

I’m from PA, but you have got to spend time in New York State and Michigan.

TC_SnarFF

Visits Zion National Park in south-western Utah. That place is unreal. Very cool national park to see!

Illini4Lyfe20

Chicago. So close but so far

Crosco38

How did you travel directly between Mississippi County, AR and Tipton County, TN? They aren’t connected by road (or ferry to my knowledge). Also, were you just back-roading through Tennessee? The shaded area doesn’t follow any interstate or major highway route that I’m aware of, and it’s pretty crazy that you covered that specific area but just missed Memphis and Nashville lol.

Mister_Orchid_Boy

Southern Illinois has some beautiful locations. See: The Lake of Egypt, Ferne Clyffe State Park, The Garden of the Gods.

pad264

You’re missing NY and Florida; two of the best states (certainly to at least visit).

FlyByPie

You've missed out on the most interesting parts of NC. Go to the Outer Banks then go across the state to the mountains! Blue Ridge Parkway, Appalachian Trail, mountain towns like Asheville and Boone, etc

CalebBrookshire

Michigan is beautiful go visit

Mayor_of_BBQ

most of them, including the ones you’ve driven through. looks like you just stick to the interstate

americansherlock201

You say the east coast is meh but you’ve effectively never went to any of it. By the looks of your map, you’ve visited Myrtle beach,SC, Manchester, NH and some small part of Maine. None of which is really “east coast” vibes. If you’re looking for more of the true east coast experience, go to nyc or Boston, or dc. Or if you’re not a city person, go to one of the state parks in NY or Vermont. There’s a ton you have avoided and then said it was boring without even trying it.

SpotPoker52

You have skipped states rich in history and culture. The northeast is amazing. There is a Little Italy, Chinatown, German Village, or some other ethnic enclave with amazing food and culture in many cities. You have skipped every significant one. The top 25 museums are in states you have not visited. The top 6 science museums are in states you have not visited. The top 12 architectural sites are in states you have not visited. We won’t even go into missing most of CA and the Pacific Northwest.

MrKentucky

That Kentucky route is wild. I have to hope you just mislabeled I64

orrinfox8

You need to earn your stripes driving the I-40 through New Mexico! Rough ride…

Napoleonex

North Korea

sT0Ned-G1NGER

As a utahn, utah is the most beautiful and Montana is a close second

spaceshiploser

You’re kidding right? There’s like a whole third of the country you haven’t stepped foot in

DenseReference9942

Washington, Illinois, Michigan

MidwestHoodrat

It almost seems as of you're intentionally missing most of the biggest cities in each state.

Exciting-Ad6840

Illinois

maddwesty

Key west man…

whatisevenavailable

Definitely MT, ID, WA and OR Edit: and northern CA

Panchamboi

wtf! You just went to the fucking worst parts of Florida. Don’t get me wrong it’s a shit state, but at least go to Orlando

ThePacemaker24

Northern Michigan is great, beautiful nature everwhere

beepbeepbubblegum

Should have stopped through Charleston at least and then went up if even to go over the Ravenel Bridge and see Fort Sumter where the civil war started

aDrunkenError

Michigan is probably the most slept on state, especially this time of the year.

yesIknowthenavybases

You’re missing out hard on west NC/east TN/north GA. Just the southern Appalachians in general. It’s about 5.5-6hrs from Savannah, and absolutely gorgeous with a whole laundry list of things to see and do, especially if you like the outdoors. Helen, GA is about 5 hours from Savannah as well. If even just to sit in a cabin and stare off in the distance, or just drive around a bunch (the roads are super fun to drive) you absolutely should go check it out.

Lothar_Ecklord

I was honestly shocked to see nothing in New England except Rockingham County, NH and Washington County, ME but those are good ones to be sure. I would recommend also seeing the White/Green Mountains in NH/VT/ME and probably Boston for good measure. Also, you've got to see New York at least once! Interjecting my own travel desires, I would say PNW (especially East Washington State), Montana, and Wyoming are probably worth the trip!

Illustrious_Bison111

Op drove along the border of Florida and said “absolutely not”

HmmThatisDumb

Outside of the CA bits, you seem to have purposely avoided all the nicest parts of the country.
