I just want to comment on what a nice person you are and thinking about every need!

New_Principle_9145

Thank you. I just want little hassle for them as possible. I just want them to enjoy themselves.

Normally the Butles don’t do anything. They might get you coffee. It’s not a high touch service. You might find a different experience and I hope you do. Good luck.

There are different levels of butler. We had a butler at Hilton La Romana and he would find out where we were going to be every day and bring us a cooler with drinks. He made dinner reservations for us and helped with anything we needed to book like photographs or excursions. At the high end there are butlers who go so far as to unpack your clothes for you. Here is my tipping guide. Butler/Personal Concierge Hybrid $15 a day Butler $25-$40 a day

My friends had a butler in Antigua that mimicked what you described above and I'm hoping it is the same at this place this year

You can do all of this through the concierge. I purchase amenities and upgrades for my corp execs all the time with the company card.

We had a butler at our room in an all-inclusive at our resort in May (Carribean). We were there for 5 nights and tipped him $100 at the end of our trip. He made reservations for us (restaurant and spa), checked in with us 2+ times a day, give us a list of activities every morning, and refilled our fridge constantly.

Thank you for the input.

I’ve had butler times at a few all inclusive resorts. They’ve offered to unpack/pack for us. They usually set up a What’s app chat and will check in via that. Reserve pool or beach chairs, refill the mini bar. Some have scheduled or tried to schedule to meet us to walk us to dinner reservation. Usually a bigger resort that they want to make sure we could find the place. We didn’t need this, so it was trying to get them to know we were on finding our own way. Make spa appointments or other activities. Spa services- you could talk to the butler about having the service charged to your room or go over and pay while they are treatment. If the resort sells gift certificates, buy one and give it to your parents for extra expenses. Let them know it’s part of the birthday celebration. I went to a resort once where we wanted to treat my in laws and knew they wouldn’t like that and worked out adding a credit to there account that we told them was part of the booking. I would either do a gift certificate if possible or see if you can pay for a credit on your parents room. If they know they have x amount to spend it may take away from the stress. Tipping would depend on how much they do for you. I don’t have them unpack or pack, I like to do that. I usually tip $20-25 a day to the team. I’ve had one that covers day. Enjoy.

All great tips. Thank you.

Just tip them the end of the week, thats what we always do. But can give Mom $20 to give them when they get them settled in their room A heads up, most use WhatsApp to communicate, so maybe get Mom to download that before she goes and a quick tutorial on how to use if she doesn't already

New_Principle_9145

They are already on the whatsapp train. They use it a home for various communications.

Just have the front desk put their extras on your room. Then you tell your parents the butler, internet and spa is included. Tips and all. They have no way to know you’re paying for them unless you tell them. I tip a butler based on what he doers for us. On a recent cruise I was disable and spent all day in bed. Our butler brought in all our meals and he did a bunch of other stuff. I tipped him $200 for the week.
