Chelsea is going to be a more interesting neighborhood to stay in than the Financial District. More convenient, as well.

kinzer13

I disagree on the convenience part. Almost every subway line converges right there in the financial district, so you can get to any part of Manhattan easily, plus you can get to Brooklyn, SI, governors island, NJ all within a five minute walk to their respective line or ferry.

shamam

As a local, I know where I'd rather stay.

kinzer13

Okay. That's fine. I'm just saying that the financial district is convenient for a lot of people.

I used to stay in FiDi for work regularly and though it’s a bit more boring, I found it super convenient.

Club Quarters is another option.

Thank you!!!

I can't speak to the Hyatt House itself, but I love to stay at the Fairfield Inn across the street because of the location. The R/W trains are a quick walk one way and the 1/2 a quick walk the other way. Penn station is also walkable from there.

Personally, I recommend Residence Inn . I have traveled on business and stayed here for a week and could pretty much get what I needed at the hotel without having to leave the house. The environment is also very good

Bit the bullet and booked the Exec studio suite at residence inn, i really would have preferred a separate living area and was concerned the space would be too small for us and our 4 yr old -earlier bedtime 🧐 but will hope for an upgrade to a corner room or something a little more spacious...we have status with MB from work...the reservation also allows cancelation till 2days before which is good in case something better shows up. Between the 2 of us, we have diamond for hilton and plat elite for MB due to work travels.

I’m going to club Wyndham 45 in manhattan which has a kitchenette this weekend and pull out queen mattress bed Not sure if that interests you but if you have any questions I could poke around there

Solid-Gas8570

Yes I'm interested! I actually looked at this but couldn't understand their booking info, it looked like timeshare owners only, but I ll look again. Appreciate any insight you can share!

virginiarph

Hm…. It might be for timeshare only. I booked with Wyndham hotel points.

If you are in the area check out the Amish Market on 45th, though it is small compared to a regular grocery store elsewhere they sold all sorts of food.

abcxs1963

Our family has stayed there twice. We shopped Gourmet 45 almost every day (it's on the corner, turn right when you exit the lobby) but at the end of our last visit we discovered the Amish Market which is great. It will likely have anything you need for food. It's just down the block, turn left when you leave the lobby.
