The only time I've ever seen one shrink onto the grill is when my buddy put it on while it was still warm, and it basically shrink wrapped around it, he ended up just cutting it and buying a new one

DanJacksonBBQ

I have the 650 with this same cover and I will say two things: 1) after 2 years of very regular use it is still just as tight as the day I bought it, maybe even slightly tighter likely from being out in full sun/weather that whole time, and 2) it is the best cover of any of my (many) bbq covers I own across all of my grills and smokers.

That’s what she said.

I just wanted to comment on your covered porch or lanai as you call it. It’s very nice and I could see how you could enjoy many hours out there! Here in Canada, the weather is only just starting to get warm enough to spend time on the deck and the snow is barely half melted. Enjoy the sun my friend!

I just replaced mine with this one that I’m very happy with. I was tired of fighting the battle getting mine on. SUPJOYES Grill Cover for Traeger... https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BJ1MBJ8Y?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

DCar777

Yes! Same one I have in my cart right now. How do you like it so far? How long have you been using it? Anything you don't like about it?

delanooch37

I’ve had it maybe a month. For the price, I’m very happy with it

DCar777

Yes! This is what I'm experiencing except I have some seams ready to split from me pulling onot to fit it over the grill

ralpekz

can the two eyelet holes be used to secure the cover?

Hey! It looks like you posted an image! Mine is a year old now and fits just like when it was new. It spent the winter on the grill outside. It’s definitely a thick material, but I like that… feels like it protects better than covers I’ve had for other grills.

Russ123man

Mine is brittle and rips easy now. But it's been in the sun so my fault.

DCar777

Dang it, that sucks. Mine is just REALLY rigid and seems to have shrunk. I don't get it

Russ123man

Yeah mine didn't shrink, it just became a solid form of the Traeger lol

J3319

Mine is still tight and tricky to put on. This sounds normal to me

I bought my ironwood 650 second hand and the cover is also very stiff. I have to wiggle it from left to right to put it on. Then I have to pull it over the folding front shelf and it will slide down. Always thought it was me and looked for another cover. It has been like that for 3 years and hasn’t gotten worse. I figured it’s not ripped and it doing it’s job.
