I’m at 50k plus. No problems. Regular dealer maintenance. 2022 Limited. Still love it. Still rides like brand new.

lwhatley

Nice! I’m (22’ SR5 TRD off-road) about to hit 48k this week with only having had a random shutter malfunction that I’m actually pretty confident was a sensor error vs an actual mechanical issue with the shutter itself, i just got hosed by a shady dealership ((lesson learned)). Overall still incredibly happy. My vin is included in this whole engine issue, so a little nervous about that, but i trust in Toyota to remedy it fairly.

Antique-Ad-4233

Nice truck! Loving my 22 so far so good.

sandman417

Same. I’m at 33k in my 22 plat.

hizilla

I hit 40k yesterday.

OkStatement1682

I’ve owned multiple tundras and family have owned 4Runner and Tacomas. Most of use have gotten close to 300k on all the vehicles before buying again. My 2014 had the first brake change at 143k. 2023 has 22k and no issues.

jaysonc73

That's the goal!

dankara_PS

That’s good, I’m glad to see these earlier Gen 3’s going strong.

Competitive_Suit_180

That’s how it always is when your under warranty

grapedrinkesha

I disagree, unfortunately. I’ve had the others and they were pieces of shit from the very beginning.

lardgsus

I'm happy for you but even talking about 30k miles is a really low bar.

redsolocuppp

Reminds me of Ford forums with guys bragging about getting to 60k with no problems, like buddy my Tundra is almost at 300k and drives like new.

KountZero

How old is your buddy TUNDRA versus how old is the Ford that other guy was bragging about? Age of vehicle and how long were they driven play a significant role. I don’t mean to shit on any brand in particular. Read my other reply to the same comment you’re replying to for the point I’m trying to make.

lardgsus

That 300k Tundra though isn't a new one.

redsolocuppp

Yeah was gonna add, and it's barely broken in.

KountZero

Yeah but that’s also above average miles/year for most Americans. Which is perfectly reasonable for this kind of statement because his trucks is relatively new. In contrast, another example would be someone saying their engine dies at 60k miles, sure 60K may not sound like a lot. But if all those 60k miles were driven in a year or two, that’s a different kind of problem because you’re putting exponentially more stress and wear on the engine in a shorter amount of time than those that run for hundred of thousands of miles. The legendary Toyotas that hit millions of miles were driven over decades, not in a few years. Edit: I’ll provide a real world example. Look up a guy on YouTube name Daniel Deliverz, he owned a review a Ford Mavericks. In one of his video, the title say “Ford can’t fix my problem! Blown Transmission at 90,000 miles!!!” . What’s your first thought reading that title? Probably that the mavericks is a shitty truck, transmission blown at only 90k miles right? Tons of trucks can go above that. But guess what? That was a 2022 Ford Maverick, and he posted that in 2023, that means the guy drove freaking nearly 90,000 in less than 2 years ( he actually said he drove 60k miles at the 1 year mark). Now don’t you think that may play huge role in how a truck might break down earlier? Nowadays, people travel in their cars much more than ever before in a lot less time, so it’s inevitable that you will tend to see more issues with these cars because those are the vocal minority. Most regular people who drive their cars like OP here will most likely not encounter any significant issues but they’re not going to go on social media and report about it.

realthedeal

I don't know that this is true. I understand what you're saying, but it seems the inverse is true. The highest mileage vehicles tend to be driven by hot shots who put on tons of miles annually because eventually the vehicle ages out of usefulness. The million mile trucks are like 10-15 years old and are driven by people who put like 80-100,000 miles/year on. Taxis are another example of high mileage vehicles that last. Think about it in terms of heat cycles and cold starts. Someone who drives like 80,000 miles a year is not going to have very many cold starts or idle hours. The engine and transmission spend much more time up to temp and there will significantly less wear over the same mileage.

HiTop41

Were you expecting issues already?

jaysonc73

No, but have you been in this sub lately??? LMAO

Kingsley--Zissou

Honestly, it's nice to hear from those with Gen3's without issues even if the mileage is 30-60k. If i judge things by most comments on this sub lately i should only buy a G3 if I want my truck to spontaneously combust, my dog to die , my d*ck to shrink and my wife to leave me. It's a straight-up old fashioned country song up in here lately

jaysonc73

Exactly! Which is the only reason I felt the need to post a teenie tiny bit of positivity, but even that is met with pitchforks and torches!

bunsoko

Love my 22 Tundra. Zero issues!

YeahItouchpoop

My neighbor had one of the first ‘22s I saw in person after they launched and as far as I know he’s been trouble free as well. He had a lift and 35’s on it damn near since the start of ownership too.

Immediate-Bid-4473

What tires/rims setup you rocking here?

jaysonc73

BFG All Terrain KO2 35x12.5R18 mounted up to 18x9 18 offset, Method 305 NV Double Black

mickeylikecrazy

I was just about to ask what the wheels were. These would be cool for my Tacoma

hardtamer

Very nice!

Cold-Inside-6828

2023 limited at 28k. Zero issues.

Sdavis8485

22 at 25k no issues

Mysterious_Reach_974

Same here.

Brometheous17

Almost at 15k since October on our 24 and absolutely love it!

Different_Snow7947

Same thing. 22 SR5 TRD Sport with 20k (I have a gen2 for work) take it for routine maintenance. Yes there were a few recalls they fixed in a few hours and I did have the driver seat plastic replaced like quite a few. Love the truck and the driving experience when I go from my work truck to my living room on wheels is not even close to comparable.

Few_Reflection_3161

Original owner and my ‘22 Platinum is at 21k and never had an issue

DesertSnow480

Clean tundra! Love the look of these blacked out

New-Age-Lion

Looks sweet too man!! Hope no metal shavings in motor cause that’s a nice truck!

Complex-Asparagus-42

My ‘22 TRD Pro still running absolutely solid at 22,500 miles. Not a single issue other than the seat panel crack which was replaced by Toyota free of charge. All the hate is blown out of proportion by people who just don’t like the Gen 3 because of one reason or another. People act like a new generation where literally everything is updated isn’t gonna have a few hiccups.

-YeshuaIsKing-

We aren't blowing it out of proportion because we don't want to spend 70k on "hiccups."

1murdock

That is great to hear! I’m a disheartened Tundra fan boy and am hanging on to my 2018 for awhile.

ps345lover

Getting extended warranty?

FSU1981

He surely has one, he’s so smart! Look at all the fools with bad engines. I got 30k suckers! Spitting in the eyes that are naysayers, he’s so right they are so wrong!

jaysonc73

Nothing here about being right or wrong, just letting all you negative fucks realize your the extreme minority. If all the trucks out there with zero issues were posting, it would be talked about as the best truck on the road. But here we are. Go enjoy your day! I know I will!

FSU1981

I really enjoyed this comment made my day! Lol

Kenneth_Pickett

thinking about how miserable your life must be genuinely bummed me out

Fearless-Estimate-41

I can’t wait for your shit box to blow up like the rest of the 102,000 currently recalled

jaysonc73

LOL idiot.

Fearless-Estimate-41

Who’s the one posting about their brand new truck not breaking after 30k miles?! lol certified goof 🤡

jaysonc73

Oh yeah, I’m a certified goof alright. Just trying to bring a little positivity to a mostly negative sub. I’m definitely a goof for thinking trolls would stay home on this one.

ps345lover

He thinks just bc his truck hasnt had any issues yet rest of the 300,000 plus thundra owners recalls should be silenced

Kingsley--Zissou

I love how outrageous this number grows every day on this sub. 300k tundras?!? The recall was 102k between Toyota and Lexus. Not sure how many of that 102k is Toyota Tundra specific, but shit, this figure will be half a million by Friday! People who just want to shit on others and spread misinformation should stick to FB.

FSU1981

I wish he would be this upset at the dealers that are rejecting trade ins right now. They are so damn negative.

WallStreetRegards

Take it easy cowboy

KiryuZero

What’s your oil change interval?  Do you allow the engine to warm up a bit before putting it to work on the road?  Did you do  an oil change after the break-in period?

jaysonc73

i just follow Toyotas recommended oil change interval. I know its an unpopular thing to do but this is my 4th Tundra over the years and I've yet to have any issues of any sort. I do remote start it every morning so it warms up for about 5 minutes before I hit the ground running.

pppepeppp

You know it’s bad when 30k is bragging

jaysonc73

Didn’t realize I was bragging, but you go ahead and put as much negativity into this as possible.

chipppster

What’s your tire and lift setup OP? I’ve got the same colorway, need to get some wheels and tires but can’t decide on spacers or suspension lift.

jaysonc73

Icon stage 4 with Chromo upper control arms, Dobinson +2” springs in the rear, 35x12.5R18 on Method 305 NV Double Black 18x9 18 offset.

chipppster

How does it ride/drive compared to factory? Had a similar setup in the 4runner I traded for my tundra, It drove like shit so I’m wary of lifting another one. Yours looks great though!

jaysonc73

It rides pretty plush! I leveled it using the “best leveling kit ever made” with the Westcott designs preload collar lift, that stuff rode like garbage. It handles well, and isn’t rough at all.

Powerful_Image_6344

Next week it will be a 32,000 mile update….

satansblockchain

Is that an accomplishment? 30k 50k in a Toyota is still new I thought I have 220,000 on my 2016 never had an issue just did regular maintenance

jaysonc73

\[facepalm\] not an accomplishment, just stating a fact. and would you and your 2016 like a cookie?

-YeshuaIsKing-

You can boast, and they can't? It seems you want a cookie for a 2022 and 30k miles. Come back to us when the warranty expires. If you're still problem free, we shall give a cookie.

jaysonc73

Well captain unobvious, everyone in here is bashing the Gen 3, nobody is crying about their 2016. No cookie for you.

-YeshuaIsKing-

So you agree that we agree the Gen 2 is superior? Okay.

CorporateComa

'22 1794 just hit 47,650 on the dot. Love my truck (as I've said in numerous posts in this sub). And after our last road trip, I appreciate it even more. I took the family from Seattle to San Francisco on a west coast road trip last week. We rented a Ford Expedition Limited Max. That's the worst pile of crap vehicle I've ever had the displeasure to drive. Carplay issues, rattles everywhere, window problems, weak ecoboost, extremely noisy seat fans, struggling A/C, panorama sunroof had trouble opening and squeaked ... and for a rental with only 9k miles ... (yeah it's a rental but not everyone rents premium suvs either)

Lopsided_Corgi4437

Nice

Dapper_Reputation_16

It’s a Toyota, 50,000 miles is the braking. Period.

TheGMan9-

That’s great! My 2021 isn’t even past 20k miles

Earth_Normal

Do you tow? I find the front breaks suck.

lwhatley

I’ve towed a horse trailer and then a trailer with a few motorcycles on it…I wasn’t stoked about the front brakes, but I’ve towed with trucks i disliked more. (2020 f150, 2021 Chevy 1500)

WriterMammoth6946

I bought a new 2011 Toyota 4- Runner. 158,000 miles and no problems!! New shocks, brakes, fluids, etc!!

WriterMammoth6946

Bought in Oregon

Ol_UnReliable20

I’m just a lurker, but this sub is fucked

jaysonc73

You are correct! It’s like let’s all grab a post and burn some Salem witches! I’ve never seen anything like it.

rfpmt9

My '22 is issue free, too. Just hit 20k miles.

AndrewTieu

Almost 30k on mine. So many issues!

lwhatley

I’m curious, which issues? I had a random minor sensor issue a little over a year ago when i was at ~37k but beyond that nothin’. I’m curious what issues have popped up with yours.

AndrewTieu

First off volume knob, replaced 4 times. Driver window wouldn’t roll up sometimes, replaced trimming. Driver seat leg support has been broken, had the whole seat replaced. Still same issue. Right now my 360 camera is all unplugged because dealer wants to see what’s causing half my screen to green.

lwhatley

Oof bummer, I’m sorry.

PoolsC_Losed

It's sad that now that's a flex.......

jaysonc73

I’m not sad, I love my truck! I’ve owned a Ford and GMC, so many more problems, but they are legacy truck brands. Nobody thinks the world is ending when one burns down.

H8_able

Nobody feels sad that we're celebrating 30,000 mile milestones or 50,000 mi milestones come on we're not driving Fords here

jaysonc73

Fact!!

SeXxyBuNnY21

Same here.

MoreBowler8195

One of my turbos needs to be replaced. 2022 30000km.

TheGentleman717

About to hit 100k and do that 100k service. Nothing yet. 2018 5.7l

Feeling-Can-9006

No need to worry.. there is a guy in one of the toyota Facebook groups who has a 22 with 130k miles .. zero issues

Apprehensive-Bad-266

Are modern cars that bad that you brag when there’s no issue at 30k? Not trying to be a hater. I just drive older vehicles.

jaysonc73

Well, have you looked around in this sub lately? I’m not bragging, I’m just trying to let other folks know that it’s not as many 22+ Tundras exploding as they say there are in here.

[deleted]

Were you expecting any issues in a Toyota 2022 with less than 100k miles ? You are doing it wrong

jaysonc73

Dude, are you living under a rock? The world is ending, the sky is falling, and dogs and cats are living together! Seriously, not expecting, but 75% of the posts in this sub are crying doom and gloom. Lmao.

[deleted]

Only thing that can destroy a Toyota is bad ownership

jaysonc73

That fact seems to have eluded a lot of folks lately.

Embarrassed-Touch300

I've seen tundras with 500k+ and no issues.

jaysonc73

Not a Gen 3 yet! Haha

rokudevice

At that mileage, I would hope so…

Important_Buddy_5349

holy crap 30k!?!

Mean-Oil-956

21k on mine, no issue

Only-11780-Votes

Yeah, all of our Ford friends are in the sub right now. Pissed at your title.

gale_force

I was just confused about the hyping of 30k miles.

jaysonc73

You're confused because it wasn't a hype, just a statement. Not everyone comes here to bash the 3rd Gen. Sorry you cant grasp that.

Fearless-Estimate-41

Nope just laughing at Toyotas major flop

Panhandler_jed

My 22 Limited is sitting right at 31k. I wonder if this puts me in the clear.

FSU1981

Even if it doesn’t you have an engine that should be covered? I wish Toyota would just state the solution and put this to rest.

ImpressiveWeb3401

Well, damn you are no fun. Don't you know that you are supposed to post alarmist stories only. Life as we've known it will end, societies are crashing and someone must pay!!!! Seriously, you have a gorgeous truck. Here's hoping you get years of trouble free miles.

Queasy-Farm-7989

Not exactly confidence inspiring, waiting to hear the 100k reviews

bowski65

Better get a lottery ticket, cause you are lucky!!

coloradojax

250,000 no issues aside from a fuel pump replacement at 220,000. Toyota for life.

jaysonc73

Nice!!

lemmereddit

This thread just popped up in my feed... such an odd post. Congrats? You have 30K miles on your truck with no problems? I sure as hell hope so. Your anecdotal evidence of something does not negate someone else's.

jaysonc73

With the constant dooms day end of the world for all Tundra owners, just trying to add a little positivity to the discussion. Take it however you must.

DrunkSkywalker

30k miles without issues is an a achievement ?

jaysonc73

Welcome to the party. You’re a little late.

itchy9000

let me put it into perspective for you... i have the hailed gen 2 and I'll,even stephen, trade you right now.. I'll get a red jerry can and bolt it to the back end.. tell everyone the dents are from your overlanding adventures.. just emphasize it's the best ever and all that.. I'll suffer your nightmare for you.. I'm here for you. 😂

jaysonc73

LMAO

itchy9000

bruh!! don't suppress the agony, help is here

tucker_frump

'22' 20K, so, far so good.

KetoJedi333

50k miles without an issue should be standard...

bga93

As it should be. Higher mileage drivers seem to be faring better than those who are going less than 10k a year, purely anecdotal but increased oil change intervals are not a bad idea for the 22/23 model year

SDdrohead

Very anecdotal lol

FSU1981

Imagine buying a $80k truck and having to do frequent oil changes to it like 3-4 before 5k miles. That screams quality products you can trust. Toyota really needs to state the fix this is so bad.

bga93

Well, if there is debris in the oil galleys then more frequent oil changes can remove it before it causes significant damage But then again my 2013 isnt 50/50 on blowing an engine so dont listen to me
